Hello CD PROJEKT RED Team!
We love Cyberpunk 2077 and wanted to share some ideas that we think could make the game even more replayable and give players more reasons to stay in Night City after finishing the main story.
We understand that some of these ideas would require a lot of development work. We don't expect everything here to be implemented — this is simply feedback and a wishlist from players who really enjoy the game.
1. New Game+
We would love a proper New Game+ mode where players could replay the story while keeping most of their progression, such as their level, skills, cyberware, weapons, clothing and possibly vehicles.
Even better would be multiple NG+ cycles: NG+1, NG+2, NG+3 and beyond. Each cycle could become progressively more difficult, with stronger enemies, better enemy equipment and cyberware, and perhaps exclusive rewards for completing higher NG+ levels.
This could give players a reason to replay the story many times while continuing to develop the same V.
2. Expanded Relationships and Dates
After completing a romance storyline, relationships can eventually become repetitive. We would love more conversations, text messages, dates and activities with Panam, Judy, River and Kerry.
Partners could react to major events in V's story, go on drives around Night City, visit different places with V, and have different interactions depending on which apartment V invites them to.
The goal would be to make relationships feel like they continue developing instead of repeating the same interactions.
3. Apartment Rework
Apartments could have more functionality and customization. Players could customize decorations, display more weapons or collectibles and have unique activities depending on the apartment.
Different apartments could also offer different activities when V's partner visits.
4. Police and Gang Reputation Rework
We think Night City could react more strongly to V's actions.
If V repeatedly attacks a particular gang, members of that gang could recognize V, become increasingly hostile or even organize ambushes. High Street Cred could also change how civilians, gangs and other characters react to V.
The NCPD system could also receive additional improvements, with more varied police encounters and reactions to the player's actions.
5. Vehicle Customization
It would be great to customize owned vehicles with options such as paint, wheels, interiors and possibly performance upgrades.
This would make collecting vehicles more rewarding and allow players to make their favorite cars feel unique.
6. More Endgame Content
We'd love more things to do after completing most of the game's content: repeatable gigs, random events, additional races, activities around Night City and other dynamic encounters.
Night City is an amazing world, and having more repeatable activities would give players a reason to keep exploring it.
7. Story Continuation Based on the Player's Ending
This is obviously a much larger idea, perhaps something suitable for an expansion rather than a normal update.
We would love to see V's story continue while respecting the ending chosen by the player. Different endings could begin with different circumstances and characters before eventually connecting to a larger new storyline.
It would allow players to feel that their ending and relationships truly mattered.
Thank you for taking the time to read our ideas.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a game we really enjoy, and these suggestions come from simply wanting even more reasons to return to Night City.
And one small request just for fun: if any of these suggestions ever inspire something that makes it into Cyberpunk 2077, we'd be honored to receive a little mention in the credits:
