Cyberpunk 2077 won't launch from 2nd title screen on Mac

I keep running into a really annoying bug. I bought Cyberpunk via the Mac App Store. Every time I launch the game, I have to watch all of the opening credits and warnings. I then get the "Welcome to Night City" splash screen, where I can press "space" to continue. All of that works (a bit annoying to not be able to skip the credits/warnings after the first time, but fine).

However, I then get to the Title Screen, where I am presented another press [ _ ] to continue screen. When I press space, I get the sound effect that it is pressed, but the game stays on the title screen and doesn't move on. When I first started playing, this didn't happen, it worked normally. Then I went through a long period where it would fail on first launch, but then I could CMD-Q to quit, and immediately relaunch the game and it would work fine on the second try.

Now, I can only reliably get the game to launch 1 out of 20 times. I have to keep quitting and relaunching hoping this is the time it will work. Once I get into the game, everything works fine, I have no other issues at all... I don't want to request a refund, but at this point the game is getting close to unplayable.,

In theory, when you clic on the space bar on the tittle screen, it's at this moment that the game try to connect/verify your CDPR account to enable/activate cross progression, maybe something goes wrong here (but I could be wrong).
Anyway, you should check everything suggested by the support on this page and if nothing work, send a ticket directly to the support for help ("contact us" button).
 
Update: It is now impossible to launch the game. Get stuck on the second title screen, not moving on after pressing the space bar.

I have tried more things: disabling cloud saves, disabling game center and a fresh install.

The fresh install worked on the first launch, but I have not been able to get back into the game after that first launch, all subsequent tries (40+) have failed.

But please make sure you tried all suggestions from this article first before clicking on the “contact us“ button to send a ticket.

Yea, I reached out to the official support channel before posting, and am still waiting for them. I am posting here in case someone else has had a similar problem and has a solution.
 
Okay, I think I figured it out. I went to System Settings > Apple Account > iCloud

On the section where it shows you your iCloud storage usage, click "Manage" then scroll down and find Cyberpunk 2077. Click it and then click the button to "Delete from iCloud" it warns you a couple times. Once I did that, I relaunched the game and everything works as expected.

For anyone else having this problem, the official response on how to disable iCloud saved file integration is:

  1. Select Apple Menu -> System Settings -> iCloud
    Alternatively: Select Apple Menu -> System Settings -> Your name -> iCloud
  2. Under 'Saved to iCloud', select "Drive" -> "Apps syncing to iCloud Drive":
  3. Turn off the option for Cyberpunk 2077
