Hi guys!

I'm a big fan of yours from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Lately I've been listening a music genre called Synthwave, and when I saw the new trailer I coulnd't stop hearing an especific band on top of it, I don't really know the guys but they are called MoTER, I love them because they use and play with the sound of an old computer error (when the computer froze to death) in a rhythmic way and also they sound like a Heavy Metal Vangelis (I think I found my cyberpunk name)

This is the soundcloud of one of their songs:

https://soundcloud.com/moter-gr%2Fcreeping-love-barrage
The song name is Creeping Love Barrage and you can hear a little of those rythmic errors around 1:55 and 3:08. I also recomend the songs Oslo, OmegaDriver and HomeFinder.

And lore wise I dont know if you know the comic Transmetropolitan but you can get a ton of ideas from that dystopic cyberpunkeske future, here is an image:

Hope it helps in the creative way, anyway you guys are geniuses!

Very truly yours, Heavy Metal Vangelis

just read an article where they confirmed that you're going to own multiple interactive apparments in night city. that was something i wrote a post about in this thread 4 years (!) ago because i wanted home bases to be in the game so much (i'm 1000% sure they did this just because of my post :p)

thanks so much cdpr, you're making my dream game a reality

Hello,

Sorry for my english.

ideas:

_ No random bullet deviation (just like apparently the new Battlefield V wants to do, where Battlefield 1 did the opposite (the bullets of automatic weapons or guns don't go where you aim after a higher rate of fire)). It's not immersive. It would be cool if the bullets goes where you aim.

_ Big recoil for some weapons. I would like to see a really visceral immersive shooting gameplay. I know this game is not a FPS (but RPG in FPP), but if you do one thing it's better to do it well. So i like the possibility to have big recoil for weapons because it's like a mini-game in the game where you actually train yourself during the game for to manage this recoil, and this is adding some immersion. And with this, a possibility to maybe toggle this in the options and/or in the difficulty settings because of course not everybody like this type of recoil system (and it's probably worse for those who use a controller).

And with this, it would be cool to have the possibility to manage this recoil by some cybernetics or some attachments for your weapons (new cybernetic hands which reduce recoil, or some tools for your weapon (grips, modifications, etc...)). And maybe this can works in the opposite direction. For example, you can use some tools for to reduce the recoil but it reduce the damage too; or you can use some new cybernetics stuff or items for to increase the recoil and increase the damage (or rate of fire). In this last idea, there are lot of possibilities: you can create some special bullets which are more powerfull and increase damage and recoil, or some modifications for your weapon, or some cybernetic stuff. I just think this can be a good land of exploration for to create more diversity in the shooting mechanics.

_ I have seen the Angry Joe's interview, and apparently there is a full melee combat system, i like this idea. It would be cool if you can for example attack from a wallrun, from a slide, jump, dash attacks. Or throw your melee weapons with some specific skills for it. For example, normally you can just throw your melee weapon and it does some damage to enemy. But by upgrading a new skill or buying a new cybernetics hands, you can throw your melee weapons with much power (and speed) or to throw your blades with a boomerang system, so you throw your blades and then you can attract them with a magnetic field for example, and to do another attack while you attract your blade.

Another idea is to have some modifications for your melee weapons which can create some ranged attacks: plasma projections, bullets of energy that you can recharge by attacking the ennemies (so you can imagine to wallrun and to fire at ennemies and then you dash into them and you recharge some energy).

Some combos. Maybe some hybrid combos. With two different weapons for example. With one weapon you attract your ennemy and you slash with the other. Or you have one gun in your hand and a blade in the other hand. Or a special blade which is a gun too. (?)

I heard that there is a slow motion system. Maybe a good thing can be to have the possibility to deviate the bullets with blades while you are in the "bullet time". Of course with a specific modification. And why not, the possibility for to have a skill like in Matrix, so you can stop the bullets with your hands and maybe reverse them to the ennemies (just saying lol).

_ Other ideas which are probably already in the game from what i understand (but i want to be sure). To fire while you wallrun, slide, jump, dodge etc... All of this in slow motion too, and without it.

_ Cool dynamic gameplay, but not only (with tactical possibilities). The wallrun reminds me of Titanfall, there are maybe some good inspirations to take. What would be very good is too have lot of diversity. You can play full melee if you want, with very dynamic system of jumping, dashing, throwing your blades, precision system when you hit the ennemy etc... You can focus on ranged weapons with lot of diversity for to choose (different types of weapons), with an immersive and visceral shooting (with ADS system of course). And you can maybe use an other way with some "spells like" weapons which can be specific cybernetics modifications or skills like a "flamthrower hands", electric attacks, special grenades, dynamic jetpacks etc.. "Spells" for to create some energy shields which can temporarily blocks the bullets, so you can run into your ennemy for to melee him, or just for to protect you for a limited time when you want to go from a cover to another.

That's all for me, just wanted to share some ideas which can maybe inspire a little bit the team. Sorry if i said some things that already are in this forum, it's a high probability, but there is an insane amount of messages and i just can't to spend all my time for to read this. By the way, i write here mainly about the combat mechanics, for me it's a part of this RPG. So i am sorry if you consider that i am out of the subject.

I wish to you the best possible success.

EDIT: I want to add what i consider an important thing for the immersion.

Immersion: If you can slide, do "horizontal jumps", wallrun, dodge; and all of this in all directions, so the camera motion and angle is important. (the camera or the screen is basically your head, your eyes)

For example, you can do a lateral jump while you are keeping fire at ennemies with your guns. Just like Max Payne:

So in FPP view, for a better immersion, when you do this it would be cool to see the angle of your screen changed (for about 45 degrees). And possibly the motion too. So this is adding more immersion and more challenge while you fire at your ennemies (with ADS too) . Same for other movements (slides, wallrun etc...)

not sure ,if it was mentioned already here ,but flying cars would be mega cool in this game.its vertical city and ability to fly and see all this glorious city would be amazing.
i had scene from movie called 5-th element in my mind..all those chases and speeding through city, between high-rises..its just glorious.getting pizza delivered through the window on 50-ish floor apartment...heheh
you could also add some team -party gameplay.but pls .no tactical kinda way .like in mass effect..i dont like it.
you could add some crafting abilities..being able to craft things in such high -tech world would be cool.
also,i like farming and grinding for rare stuff.random drops ect.i have gambling character, and i loved this in diablo 2.
do lots of cool stuff, like being able to hack to someones ,and be able see through hes eyes!!! or even control him and use his weapon

i have one revolutionary idea..!! not sure if today technology would be able to handle.
what if one create rpg game where entire MAIN plot of the game would be changing as you play, depending on players action.not just ending or some minor branching.
so instead of one main story,it would be several.depending on action of player,it woulch follow different patch, objectives and events would change.
so there is no one plot of the game but lets say 5 or 6 with completely different story
so if player show tendency for desire to keep order by helping cops in early stage of the game for example, the entire story would shift in this direction making this game about struggle in fighting gangs and all new plot would be followed
or if one show despise for corpo then story would be different, about social justice struggle and war with corpo.ect.
so not one plot with different endings but several plots.

A game really has the soul of cyberpunk ,not just show cyberpunk element.
I see <Blade Runner> <Neuromancer> <Ghost in the shell> element in this game ,but how to combined those is challenge. From my view ,cyberpunk is about soul ,more specific the relationship between body and soul. <Blade Runner> ,does replicant can has soul? <Neuromancer> ,does AI can has soul? <Ghost in the shell> ,when we can modified our body and take our mind into the networld ,what's the boundary of our soul?
It's all about soul, all about our mind! But their give us different world to show their thought and answer. I see your gays want to combined all the element in cyberpunk genre ,it's so hard.
<Blade Runner> <Neuromancer> <Ghost in the shell> their world is different ,their world serves their story. It's not just they has different element in their world. So the 2077 world must combined those element to serves main story, this is what I can't
image. But it's your goal ,right?
Some ideas for mission.
(1) Kidnapping other's mind ,not the body ,then ask their family for money. When player Solved the case ,maybe they will find the people return is not the original ,is one of kidnappers.
(2) I assume there will be a little game in 2077 like Gwent. Player play this game with other NPC ,one day he ask you for help say he can't off line. You go to his home found he is already dead. His avatar is only part of him ,like a photo of his mind.

I want pink neons, shitload of customisation for the caracter, the car and the place where we live
A lot of violence: dismemberment head exploding from hack etc ... being able to rip apart augment on people and then selling it,
kidnaping VIP and hack them for security password and stuff; so we can go for an heist in a big corpo office
I hope we could be at least a little evil, I'm getting tired of beeing the savior in EVERY games

"Nice orphanage you have there... Be a shame if something happened to it."
"What do you want?"
*holds up detonator* "Give me 50,000 Eurodollars or I blow up the orphanage."
"WHAT? Fine! It's only the money I was going to use to educate these kids! Here!"
*pulls out flamethrower and lights the building on fire* "You have until the building burns down to get your stuff and get out."

Becoming a porn star would be hilarious and a funny way to get street cred.

Also, if the more implants you get the less empathy you have, showing it reflect in dialogue as someone who is socially obtuse/callous and abrasive and quick to irritation would be a nice feature.

Some of these ideas might not be possible.

Dynamic AI Personalities
Would like to see dynamic AI personalities which can be different for each play through. By that, I mean if you handled a dialog with an NPC a certain way in one game, their personality in the next game might be different, causing them to react differently even if you do the exact same things. So in one game a NPC might react very aggressively towards being threaten, whereas in another he might be easily scared and therefore react differently or making them easier to threaten. If possible the player should be able to judge or try to judge it based on how the NPC behaves, obviously skills etc should be taken into account if such are relevant.

Rob / threaten / Holdup
Some sort of way to get loot from NPCs in a none lethal way, always find it sort of funny in games that NPC even if you are aiming an assault rifle at their head pretty much always react with them taking the chance at fighting back rather than just giving up the loot. It would add a nice RPG feeling to the game I think if its done correctly, so you can't just do it in the middle of the street without anyone reacting to you like the police or whatever. Also it could be fun if it worked both ways, so NPCs could do it to the player as well.

Drunk and drug effect
Would be cool if you could get drunk or use drugs which affect the character in a more realistic way than other games, meaning if you use a lot of drugs you might pass out or you used some bad drugs. Drunk your character might stumble or pass out. Making use of such things could maybe make the player able to solve quest or get passed certain guards etc. As they might not care to much about some drunk or drugged up person. If such thing always exist, please don't blur up the whole screen so its unplayable, rather affect the movement instead or something.

News that matters
Maybe add news or bulletin boards around the city about stuff the player have done, if its something important. Such as a certain important NPC having been killed or something got robbed etc.

Random none important places
Lots of places for the player to go which might not be important for any quests. Such as bars, discos, casinos (maybe even street gambling), basically just places to make the world seem alive and for the player to go explore and relax from killing things :D

As said don't know if any of these things are possible or even relevant for the game. But regardless of that the game already looks amazing... Go go CD Project Red :D

Cyberpunk 2077 - Your Ideas For A Dream RPG

We want the Cyberpunk 2077 to be the best RPG possible. Feel free to share your ideas and features that you would like to see in our upcoming game.

We want to hear your input:)
Ever since you mentioned how clothing would affect "storyline" in the sense that "cooler clothes" can get you access to diferent and/or better places, if I did understood that right, I would like for it to be possible to upgrade any clothing with the "cooler factor" just because in every game you are bound to get better outfits and leave the ones you actually like behind. And even though it wouldn't be a big deal, it would be something new and immersive.

I'd have to see the alpha release or even the beta for PS4 to get into some solid ideas, very probably many have been added already.
So keeping it short :)
A katana that can be my default bladed weapon (with realistic damage)

The ability to terminate any relationship (and you can take terminate any way you choose) long term or casual. What really annoyed me about GTA 5 was that one protractor could not get rid of (divorce) his wife.

With such a vast world and so many attractions I do now want to have just one relationship. The option to opt of a relationship should be a core ideal in the story.

Oh, And do we know if a VR version is going to be released? Cause that would be awesome :)

- cool hand to hand and run&gun combat system like in Sleeping Dogs (I know it will be FP) with finishers
- co-op gameplay. Something like in assassin`s creed unity. Where there were some type of missions where you needed partners. Maybe at Night City there will be a Merc Hub where you can pick up side co-op missions or even whole stories created by CDPR
- also judging from the above mentioned. Maybe it would be cool to provide player with possibility to create stories in the Night City. Possibility to become Game Master. Like create local stories and be able to play them with Friends/Community. That would be awesome! That will bring us closer to classic tabletop and it will be a Neverending story)

Wrote this post elsewhere but perhaps this is a better place for it to be seen:
I think it would be a good idea to make players identify some of the better items they find before they could use them and the better the item would be it would also take more time and resources to identify it. Weapons could be organized by grades from 1 to 7 or whatever, if you find yourself high tier weapon early in the game it could require inspecting it by a certain NPC that you would meet only after you pass a certain mission in the main story, and the explanation for not being able to use it and still feel believable is for example - some high tier weapons wouldn't work if your chip software is not updated - want to use grade 4 weapons? - you need to update your chip that would (among other things) allow you to use tier 4 weapons, otherwise the weapon simply wont work. The identification system can also be exciting, for example the more you use a certain type of weapon the more familiar the character is with it and earns "weapon handling experience" in lets say shotgun weapon class (using grade 1 weapons would earn experience towards grade 2 weapons of that class), looting non rare weapons from enemies and then inspecting a certain weapon model for the first time could also earn you some exp, same as dismantling it for the first few times each time giving less and less exp until salvaging same weapon model would no longer increase the experience. The process could be longer or shorter depending on your main story progression, character stats could also impact how much experience you gain. Also having high experience using one type of weapon (or even a certain model) could give it some bonuses and thus make it even better - with this mechanic in place players would often have to consider if they want to replace their arms for something that would become better only after certain amount of time or would they rather stick to what the character is very familiar with (for example a new weapon would seem not that much better in the end and it wouldn't be worth waiting). There could be hidden stats on some weapons revealed only after gathering enough experience to unlock its potential further - the only thing a player could see would be info of such a stat being unlockable. So many possibilities!
