I like multiple factions this game would likely be had.

It would be nice to have non-combat oriented roles.

Does everything in RPGs have to come down to fighting?

No! God, no. And I really hope THAT makes it into 2077: a combat-lite playthrough being possible.

Bastards, eh? Players, pfff. ONE DAY we will replace them with much more..compliant...drones.

Actually, my gaming group is almost wholly virtual now, scattered all over the U.S. And they play Dark Heresy so they expect cruelty.

Partly I want 2077 to FEATURE CO OP PLAY so they can have a chance to get their own back.

With the dearth of solid sci-fi RPGs available, I'm so excited that not only is CDProjekt RED doing one, but also in the Cyberpunk setting. I've been hoping for a good Cyberpunk or Shadowrun video game for a long time. The Witchers are amazing games so I am quite sure Cyberpunk is going to amaze as well.

Things I would love to see:

Complete Character Customization: gender, physical traits, backgrounds/origins, visible gear, cyberware, and the like.

Character Progression Depth: Mentioned above, a lot of variety in character progression like the PnP Cyberpunk. This also necessitates variety in equipment that is applicable to your character's progression e.g., melee vs. assault rifle.

Choice and Consequence: The Witchers do this pretty good. Grey choices, not always black and white, that affect the story and outcomes. If there's the option to be "evil" or just a general hard-ass, make those actual viable options in the game. Too many games let you make "evil/hard-ass" choices, but don't really provide for that in the overall story very well; often it's just not a viable option because you miss out on too much XP, can't use any vendor, always attacked on site, and the like.

Consistency in choice: Related to the above entry, what ever level of branching in the choices, keep it consistent through the entire game. I get so frustrated by some games that allow you to make choices, "good vs evil" for example, and then at some point force you into only one option, often making your character do something completely opposite of how they've behaved up to that point. The Mass Effect series seemed to have a dazzling array of choice throughout the trilogy, only to make the end the same 2/3 choices no matter what you had done up to that point. Was such a letdown for me.

Romance: I personally enjoy the romance option when it's done well, meaning it has choice, depth, and adds to the story. It's another way to customize your character and alter the story on replays. Preferably not a "choose this option in 3 dialog cut-scenes, and at the end of the game you get a side-boob shot and two extra lines of dialog in the epilogue." I enjoy how the Witchers were unabashedly adult games; the freedom that provides will really allow the dark dystopian atmosphere of Cyberpunk to be created in the game.

No resources spent on multi-player: Don't know if this has even been considered, but please no multi-player. This always seems to end with the single-player mode suffering, and usually a mediocre-at-best multi-player mode. There are of course exceptions, but they're just that, exceptions.

Party based game is always more good, to keep it fun.

Btw the female on the trailer is gorgeously glamorous, I wish she can be a friend/ ally/ lover, or a companion, if there is option for party based game in Cyberpunk 2077.

This is my reason for co-Op play! So you and I and Wisdom and Redge and WHOEVER else likes to shoot Furries and Boosters from the Combat Zone wall can do so! As a Team!

Also so my PnP players can have some revenge. Because they've earned it over the years. Tee hee.

Now I never played Cyberpunk2020 but upon hearing the announcement of this game and being enthralled by the concept and thinking the folks at CD Projekt Red and Mike Pondsmith were bringing forth I immediately decided to familiarize myself with the game.

First of all I must say I love The FNFF systems emphasis on lethality in order to make the combat feel intense and meaningful, you guys have been playing this game longer then I have been reading it so I'm excited to see what you do on that front.

An interesting element that caught my eye was the implementation of different martial arts forms to bolster your unarmed fighting abilities besides just pure brawling, now while I know that in this age of fast and dangerous technology the likelihood of fistfights breaking out before shoot outs is unlikely, but I will really love it if these options were available to you in the game not keeping my fingers crossed, as I trust you guys to build gameplay that is more about quality and not quantity.

Leaving combat aside, I know you guys have played Deus Ex and from my avatar you can tell I have too. It would be truly exceptional if you could take the emergent gameplay presented in that game and add your on take to that in this game. Please note, some times dealing with situations without firing a single gun or throwing a single punch is the most impressive way for a cyberpunk to do his dirt. Allow me to be that badass if I so choose if you have the ability.

Other than that, do what you do best, we'll be watching.

Aren't the Media and Corporate roles not inherently tuned for combat?

Granted I doubt those roles will be in the game, if they did manage to incorporate all 9 main roles into the game and tailor the narrative to those roles it would be the best modern RPG ever made.

That is an extreamly lofty goal mind you, I'm just hoping for 5.

At least he doesn't accuse YOU of smelling like elderberries. I'm still sulking over that one.
Anyway, promise me you'll live stream it. And make appropriate use of friendly-fire.

Oh Birdy.... you have no idea...

What I really want to do is drag him behind my vehicle like they did Donnie in Saints Row 2... somehow I doubt the game will let me though. :)

What I would LOVE to see!

People may or may not disagree, but I think there is a potential HUGE fan-base not specifically familiar with the Cyberpunk ethos, but fans of the genre. What I mean is there are a lot of players out there that know and love both the Deus Ex (Human Revolution) and/or Mass Effect series that are wondering if anything will come along and fill the void where their favorite game either a.) ended, or b.)left them hanging not sure if a sequel will ever come along. As one of those people I'm hoping that the wheel isn't re-invented, but refined. I would like to see some sort of stealth elements to the game along with heavy (not just between good and evil, but a little gray) choices as a major aspect of the game. I think you could pull in some of the FPS guys that are sick of the weak story and not updated combat of Battlefield and COD series. The game market is stagnant and there are no new ideas that can immerse players recently, and this is a great opportunity to bring us old hardcore gamers back into the fold! I love the teaser-trailer that was released and it made me feel that I want to be a part of the Cyberpunk world even though I've never played the 2020 version. The only major mistake that you guys could make is making the game too linear with too few interesting side quests. Many game companies basically rob their customers demanding $60 for a mere 4-5 hours of game play while others offer 30-40 hours. In Cyberpunk, especially if released for PS4 could offer the player a much longer and engrossing experience that we would want to spend time in for months and actually feel that the purchase of DLC down the road isn't just a band-aid for a broken game, or cosmetic crap that has no effect. My list of dreams for your game is long and the bar is set high, but I'm sure the company that gave us the Witcher series is capable of amazing things in this generation of videogames that have given us way too many "rinse and repeats". Thanks guys for listening!:D

While questing would be nice, what I'd like to do depends on what kind of game it is. If it's a game that lives in my PS3/PS4/Xbox720/whatever and doesn't really interact with the rest of the universe, give me characters with some meat on their bones instead of the cookie-cutter characters we so often get in video games. Give me choice or, at least, the illusion of choice. Make it where I can have a completely pacifist character if I so desire. Make it where I can complete a combat mission by decking and causing security systems to go wild. Mass Effect and the Witcher did this brilliantly, so port those ideas over if you can. This sandbox style of play allows you to more easily direct the character or characters that the player eventually ends up becoming.

A pseudo-mmo would be interesting as well where, like in Journey, you can sometimes randomly meet people in your game from other games and have adventures together, melding your two games on a shared section of the city. If you go to the Bayside Central district, for example, there might be another player or two that you can interact with. I would love it if you could remain invisible to the other guy, requiring them to actually notice the different movements in the crowd or 'someone that doesn't belong here' instead of having a giant hovering sign above their head that says 'real person here.' This would require constantly changing crushes of people with semi-random movements, though, so technologically it may be difficult.

MMO, I don't know if you could do. Cyberpunk is such a tightly-knit game, tacking on all the things that MMO players would require would damage the setting, so to speak. A psycho shows his face and then boom, twenty max-level Psycho-Squad members show up to kill him for the chip imbedded in the psycho's head because 'they need just one more to turn in.' It would take me out of the game.

As an aside, please have 'real' day and night cycles synced up to something that the user cannot change. Getting all the birthday cars on Gran Tursimo 4 comes to mind by changing the date every day to be your birthday. Make it where Mr. Johnson remembers my favors and allows me to call them in any time. "I need an extract, Mr. Johnson, I'm calling in my favor." (silence on the line) "Five minutes, one click from your current location at the location downloaded to your cybereye. Be there." Make favors have different values - like currency, almost, so a small favor can get you through a locked door while other favors can get an extract from a Militech camp. Make it where favors slowly fade as Johnson 'forgets' about them, but remembers the favors he gave you. Make it where some things just can't be pulled off by Mr. Johnson.

Cyberpunk: When it's Ready and RIght, not Cyberpunk: Second Quarter release 2014, forgotten third quarter 2014.

What I would want from a Cyberpunk RPG destined for a 2015 launch:

1. Graphics optimized for the PC. Since we are talking about 2015, that is the year of nVidia Maxwell or better and Intel Skylake processors. This game should not waste resources on poor programming and be able to utilize 8+ CPU cores and 4 GPUs to prevent any bottleneck people with high-end PCs may have. Since this game is also being made for next-gen consoles, and since those consoles use PC hardware, this should be easy. I don't want it to feel like Deus Ex: Human Revolution, knowing that 4 years ago, Crysis looked better. Granted, I loved the story of Deus Ex.

2. Better physics than games out there today. Flowing hair, clothes that move with your movements, destructible buildings, water and gas with volume, not just effects. Best if you could program it for DirectComputer/OpenCL to make good physics universal for nVidia, AMD, and Intel people.

3. A soundtrack that surrounds you and mystifies the environment. I'm thinking Deus Ex, Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect soundtracks. Although of course with a cyberpunk theme to it.

4. Multiplayer, good multiplayer. Not just every man for himself, or team vs team. Have something with a cyberpunk theme like: Infiltrate an enemy's base to upload a virus to that enemy's mainframe. The mainframe holds the minds of the enemy players who use bodies that merely act as avatars. For this reason, when you kill an enemy, normally he can respawn in a clone. But upload a virus into their mainframe, and you control their minds, causing game over for the enemy. You can't resist when an enemy has your mind.

5. Themes I want to see: Mind uploading, mind hacking (centered around a theme of major corporations/governments moving to control large populations via their brainchips), mind-mind communication networks (like they did with those rats a few days ago), really big guns (like tactical nukes for insane fights, plasma rifles with really cool looking plasma, fusion cannons that spit out big balls of god-like light that incinerates everything it touches), multiple conspiracy groups players have to watch out for, multiple plot twists (your best friend/lover turns out to be corrupt and betrays you), moral questions that constantly hit the player in his choices (like Deus Ex or, better yet, Heavy Rain), a feeling that the end of the world is upon us, at least one nuclear blast/asteroid strike with a blastwave that tears buildings apart and fries the flesh off of unaugmented citizens (like in Terminator 2; you should be able to witness all this and survive; also, this should serve as the best demonstration of next-gen physics processing), mind-hacking nanites in gaseous form launched into crowds like tear gas, inability to trust not only anyone, but yourself as well due to the mass spreading of mind-hacking technologies. Are my senses correct? Am I in control of my own thoughts? Am I just a brain in a vat right now? Make the player think he is crazy, alone, and with no one and nothing to trust.

6. Use of vehicles: Able to use fancy hover cars is a minimum. I'm talking more like future tanks (hover tanks), mechs, or better yet, some kind of futuristic air/spacecraft. Could be used in single player and multiplayer. Of course we are not talking about far future stuff here, so it will probably be like a chopper or a VTOL.

7. Robots, and lots of em. Make them realistic looking androids (who is human and who is machine becomes unknown until it is too late), make them smart, make them in positions of power, and make them hackable.

8. Holograms, AI smarter than humans, and lots of tricks on the mind.

9. Asian (Japanese, South Korean, Chinese), American (United States), and European (Britain, Italy, Germany, France, Switzerland) conspiracy organizations. Theme areas to Asian, American, and European looks, lifestyles, language, and attitudes. Large world governments, like in 1984, to simplify this process.

10. Continuous end-game play. Either have a final boss, after which you have different missions players can continue playing (updated via DLC, paid or free), or just end with constant zones players have to work through, improving stats, equips, and skills. Prior option is probably best. Don't let all our work mean nothing with new DLC. Allow us to keep our augments and just explore more stories.

11. A really advanced character editor. I'm thinking EVE Online or better. Make my character lots of polygons, sexy style (for women) or manly style (for men). Able to make my character look American, European, or Asian. Able to make female and male characters or various builds: from small and petite women and men (good for spies or coercion) to muscle-built women and men (good for smashing heads).

12. Day/night cycles. Able to see all 4 seasons. All types of weather: sunny, cloudy, rainy, hail, snow, windy.

13. Easy to use map editor for the modding community.

14. First person perspective. Third person is ok, but coming from a FPS gamer, I really liked how Deus Ex: Human Revolution used the first person shooter style. You just get more into a character in the first person view. But don't be afraid to have mirrors so I can look at my character. You could also allow players to use both.

These are just some thoughts, but it would be nice to see any of them used.

Oh, I dunno, I liked a lot of his wishes. tactical nuke is pretty nuts though. I enjoyed how women should be sexy and men should be manly. And he wants vehicles1 So, great. It would be nice to see some of them used. except fusion cannons. But scientists!
