All the cyberpunkstuff is new to me - i just saw the trailer and i was flashed by everything.
Here are my ideas / or just what came to my mind when i saw it:

The atmosphere was great - it felt like: the woman in the middle was
hunted down by some faceless/corrupt police guys and i want to help her.
(Is she some sort of main character in the game? - would be awesome)

In the game i would like to play her role and fight against the people who build up this establishment of abuse and oppression.

I could also Image this game as some open world/city game where you run around and help people or fight against bad guys. (but with linear Story)
In the Skyscraper you can make missions - for examply kill a bad politician or some guy who abused alot of people. Or you just disguise yourself and mix with the other guests of Partys and assassinate people. or make some intrigues by speaking to powerful people.....

The Mission in the Hightech and clean Skyscraper could be a nice contrast to the rought streetlife where violence rule.
I really like the future atmosphere - but i dont think that the world will look like this in 2077... maybe in 2177.

some ingame Pictures would be great.

i think this game has even alot more potential than witcher......

Right... emails. Definitely gives new meaning to "inbox."

Anyway, I have a tiny rectangle that tells me when I have emails. It having breasts would just complicate our relationship.

Did you not see all those people she butchered? There are occasions where helping people is a good thing, but that's definitely an instance where you'd end up as two good samaritan halves.

Also, we need to give her a name because "that girl/woman/lady in the teaser/trailer" is too long for how often she's brought up. I vote for Ella, which is short for "hella crazy blade lady."

1, Nethacking - Cyberspace, netrunning, whatever you want to call it. I want the net to be a virtual worlds like the books describe. I want to hack corporations/banks/peoples personal computers/phones/bank accounts/drones/cameras..etc. However, I want to have the freedom to do this on my own and not have to wait or be limited to "Missions" all the time. Make high level targets difficult, but not impossible. If I am a hacker, I should be able to break into a bank and transfer accounts to my accounts. That is why you are a badass hacker. The bigger the target, the more dangerous it should be (but also more challenging and fun).

1.5, Hack what I see. I have to give it up to watch dogs. They got some interesting ideas on basic hacking that would be pretty cool to implement. Although I still want the net/cyberspace to access them.

2, hack brains - I should be able to hack into brains that have brain inplants, making them think I am a long lost friend/lover/sibling/etc, or making them think a friend is an enemy or make them forget about me all together, or just make them a thrall to your command. I should also like to "possess" people, turning them into meet puppets. If you hack them and take over, you could use their body to infilitrate buildings, or go in and and fight for you. It would be cool as hell to do all this from the confort of my home, hack someone on the other side of the city and body jack them. That is the point of a pure netrunner.

2.5. Want the net to be a whole different world, meet different hackers and other shadowy groups. Gain fame through hacking exploits in the real and virtual world.

3, Stealth - most games have horrible stealth systems (that definitely includes the witcher 2!). If I want to create a cybernetic stealth ninja assassin/thief character then I want to be able to do this and make one that actually works like advertised. I should not have to be "forced" to fight for some stupid mandatory scene (looking at you deus ex:HR boss fights), I should be able to do everything stealth if I choose too.

3.5, to emphasize, if you focus on a non combat character you should be able to avoid combat using your brains and skills!

4, A wide varity of character creations. I would like to have all the character creation choices that are in the book like rockerboy, netrunner, media, techie, cop, corporate, nomads..etc. Things that no other game has done. I would also like to see more than just in the book. I really want to have an option to create a character that is NOT focused on violence and use brains instead.

4.5, a LOT of customization. I would like to have skills that are beyond fighting, social skills like diplomacy, seduction, intimidation, etc. A lot of cybergear/enhancements

4.5, your characters background selection should have you start and work at that background. If your in the media, you start out at the media, if you are corporate, you work at the corporate office..etc. This should also affect what type of missions you get, some will be open or closed off based on what you do.

5, A lot of variety in cybernetics. Should be able to go to any chop shop and replace an arm/leg/eye/etc, for cybernetic versions and implants.

6, Oculus Rift Support - Seriously, I have seen enough videos and reactions to know this will be big. The devs should try one of the HD kits at a convention to see what the fuss is about.

7, First person perspective. Not just for oculus support, but for cybernetic eye enhancements, to feel like your in the world. Vampire:the masquerade did this right. With a 3rd person optional perspective.

8, silent protaganist. I know I will get flack from this, but VO protagonist has a lot of huge downsides that is just not worth it. The personality is fixed, and lets be honest. It would be the choice between a total badass/military type, to a smart alec type, nothing in between and boring characters. On top of that, VO will limit choices. This is NOT debatable, this is a fact that developers have said over and over again when designing games with VO characters. I prefer to play a character that I can choose from many choices/responses, that is MY character. I really do not get much enjoyment from playing a limited character with three short dialog choices..even the geralt in the witcher 2 was very limited because of this. He was still good, but the choices were nothing but one liners...the limits of voice acting.

8.5, bares repeating. I want to customize my characters personality to the type I want to play. VO just cannot do that.

9, I want dialog/choices to appear based on my stats/equipment/knowledge/abilities like the older RPG’s had. Vampire the masquerade bloodlines were a near perfect match of RPG/FPS hybrid. I felt THAT game should be the bar set for RPG/FPS games.

10, choices to appear in dialog about my abilities (hack users implant, pickpocket, stab body stealthly, touch and inject poison into body..etc)

10, multiple solutions to problems, multiple branching choices/outcomes based on your decisions/actions like old school RPG’s. (planescape torment, fallout ½, etc)

11, dark and mature - the witcher 2 was very dark and mature, should be the minimum bar set. Ignore the censor brigade, one of the main reasons the witcher is so popular is because it IS mature and not afraid to show it.

12, Characters that can use stealth/brains without it going down the drain into a shootem up.

13, NO ripping away control from a character for a “Cinematic” cutscene or for a game of simon says(qte). I want to feel like I am actually playing the game and not have it feel like I am forced on rails.

14, A living world with shops/buildings you can actually go into and visit. It is annoying to see these worlds like GTA and just about everything is nothing but decorated card board boxes. My dream would be, if you see it(house/building/behicle..etc), then you can enter it.

15, multiple factions - I do not want simple two factions, I want several, there might be just a couple of really big ones, but I would like to see many groups, and factions within factions. I want my actions to affect how the factions grow and shrink. If you help the corps, you might see the city become more trendy, everyone walking around in corporate clothing, corporate logo is on everything, help the police and you might see more police, people looking a little fearful, etc.

16, multiple branching endings. Do NOT worry about forcing everyone down one particular ending to have a sequel. Endings that make you feel like your actions made huge changes. Hell, even some “bad” endings like destroying all technology with a computer virus, or hacking a military base to send a nuke to a city. Games USED to give you this type of awesome freedom before everybody decided to make “safe” endings for a sequel. You can still have your sequel, just choose one particular ending you like and make a sequel off that. That will be the true ending.

17, relationships, not just romances (which I think should be in), but just hanging out and making friends. One of the most enjoyable things about old RPG’s were just sitting around and TALKING to NPC’s about random things like how they are, what their dreams are, etc. Letting them open up too you and even ask YOU questions that can influence their outlook on life and you. This bonding with characters and made them way more interesting than a two dimensional sign board pointing to the next quest.

18, modding tools with the main game (look at elder scrolls)

19, if there is MP or god forbid social features, let it not interfere with the singleplayer at all. Keep it seperate and not forced into the singleplayer experience like dark souls or the new watch dogs.

20, a living city! - it bugs me that cities are so dead, no people and no traffic.

21, tv news, blogs, etc.. that you can watch/access on your implant, tablet..etc. I want to hear about what is happing in this world, there is supposed to be space stations and stuff. Should hear about what is happening there.

22, no cover system...god I hate those. I prefer the old thief and original splinter cell systems of hiding in shadows. Hiding behind convenient placed boxes is so game breaking unbelievable.

23, customize avatar - face/skin/body..etc.

24, design the game with idea of potentially porting your character to a sequel/other game (remember choices)

25. SAVE ANYWHERE!!! For all the weeping angels, let us save anywhere and NOT use checkpoints! Not TOOO worried about it since W2, but want to mention it anyway.

26, should feel futuristic, not just slightly more advanced.

27, exploration - using the elder scrolls philosophy, if you can see it, you should be able to go there.

28, Let us play the bad guy - what use is choices if all we play are good guys, or even just shades of grey. Let us be the blackest of black if we choose.

29, underworld jobs - body organ harvester, cybernetic implant thief, assassin, identity theif, bounty hunter..etc.

30, no time sink missions. Make each mission rememborable.

31, being able to buy houses/upgrades for your base. If your a corporate person you might start off a nice house in suburb, then then move to a highrise apartment overlooking the city as you grow in fame. The same with a nethacker, you might have some cheap equipment starting off, then you might have state of the art equipment you upgrade later.

Then you and about a hundred thousand other people in this forum should look up a lovely little book called

CYBERPUNK 2020: 2ND EDITION

And learn everything you need to about Mike Pondsmith's world of Cyberpunk and Night City.

That 'lady' is a 'cyberpsycho', someone who has had so much cybernetic enhancement that their brain cannot take it and they feel more like a machine than a person. At that point the flip and manifest extre behavior, most often a killing spree.

What I don't get is that she is smiling blankly in the midst of all those bodies with blood dripping from hidden extending blades mounted in her arms. All of that and you think she doesn't look like a murderer? I sincerely hope you never get Jury Duty.

In the meantime, I recommend looking up some of the threads on the forum guide. Also, type CYBERPSYCHO in the search tab.

Oh and 'welcome aboard'.

Edit:
In fact, read this thread:

The pdf linked in the first post explains everything on the trailer.

If we have to give her a name, it's got to be ALT the Third.

Obviously.

yeah but you only get 1 powerful attack out of that. I prefer every attack to be a powerful one. But im willing to bet stacking C6 gets thrown into the game before Borgs. :/

My point was that a decent GM should blow the crap out of that FBC. "The lord giveth and the lord taketh away."
Way to OP in my opinion. Personally, I would not make that type of gear available even to NPCs, let alone players.

But I expect to see FBCs in 2077 from the outset, though I imagine they will be a tad more refined and less obvious than 2020.

I think the key to rpgs is having a seat grabbing story, something you don't want to stop playing. This means in depth characters and the ability to take your time with things, especially side quests and perhaps the ability to join different factions and using espionage against the rival faction. Another point is that the character you play should be in depth and ffully customizable to the players preference. Abilities, tactics, weapons, gear, mods, character creation, aesthetics, attitudes, romances, vehicles?, friends, and NPC relationships toward the character could all be examples of this.

Back to the story, it could be gripping and dark with little twists of dark humor to make the character dynamic. The ending and the leading up missions/quests/objectives/whatever also needto be worth remembering. It would be really good to have a build up of subtle evidence throughout the game that all leads up in the end that makes the player want to play again to recognize what they've missed, and maybe act on what they already know.

Tactical stealth dynamics (I.e. Assassinations, silenced weapons, tactical engagements, sniper rifles, drones,) with the choice of getting abilities that don't need to relate to combat situations such as a 'Mimick' or 'Double Agent' perk that allows you to enter hostile territory while the enemy thinks you're with them, but apart from stealth there should also be characters that are tech savvy that might be able to scrounge modifications from dead cybers or hack into weapons/camera systems. As well, pure combat players that can deal with any situation by pointing the barrel of a shotgun at it.

Who needs an attack? I'd do like Max Mike says, and place that 20kg under your bed with the pressure plate under your mattress. You get into bed and "BOOM' baby! It's raining cyborg bits.

In Mass Effect 2, when you went AFK near the pilot (Joker), he would say things after a while and do things that were pretty humorous (i.e. accidentally putting porn through the speaker system, being awkward, etc.). In Cyberpunk it would be awesome if there was some kind of input like this, such as when you go AFK you could pull out a socket wrench, open your cyber enhancements up and tighten them up a bit, or pulling out a holographic newspaper that actually changed throughout the game (not like Deus Ex where it was the same 6 newspapers everywhere) and there was tiny easter eggs throughout them, or it would display your progress through the game. NPC's could come up with funny conversations with you and other NPC's, beggars could pester you for money, people could try and sell you things using sexual inuendos, etc.

Hidden quests/missions/whatever would be interesting as well. It would require a detective aspect to the game, (sorry for these really bad examples) but you would visit somewhere like a park and you would notice that two people playing chess haven't moved their pieces, or someone's reading the same page of the paper over and over again, or a rich looking guy is looking through the trash bin and you could interact with them to get different mini quests that might or might not matter toward your story line.

And now to characters, it's always fun to have a team of NPC's that act as followers/companions/squad members that can help with your mission. Characters with depth are really important because it creates more story, and who doesn't love story? Like in BioWare games, they should be able to talk to each other and come up with funny conversations to relieve the tension of a dark storyline. Squad members should also be very flexible in their roles, or you have the ability to switch out characters with other characters for a mission or even reduce/remove all squadmates from missions. It's always annoying when you try for a stealth approach and your squadmate screws it up. It would be gre
