That didn't take long. lol

At least we didn't get attacked by the cybered Orcas.

There are still normal animals around, but I don't think that 2077 will stray much outside of Night City, at least in the beginning.

In CP2020, wild-life goes really wrong.
Birds (yep, all of them) are dead since 2008 (probably some still saved in labs, but overall their dead), the same for a lot of species, sea are polutted, but like "smelly dark distusting water", Earth has been so much scrapped with heavy industries that the Ozone layer is paper-fin, so they send sattelites to "trap" the ozone layer around earth, so the Solar Rays don't burn everything down there...

But instead, yes, the sun is no more a problem, but all the polution get trapped, you can't see the sun, almost never, the sky is always gray "like a TV set on a dead channel" ahah there is acid rains, a lot., etc...

So for animals, except for some wild dogs/cats roaming the streets, you'll never seen any wildlife (except in rich area, probably a rich corporation has enouht money to build a Zoo).

That makes me think about a cool stuff CDPR could implement in the game, since everybirds are dead since 2008, maybe they could hide one somewhere, like an easter-egg, making you win, i don't know, a weapon, or some XP points if you find it.

I have a problem with this model. I would agree that there is a huge void in North America as far as wildlife goes, but to say that ALL of it was wiped out I cannot agree with. Now as far as gameplay goes in Night City - 99% of you might consider wildlife would be gone. However on a global view, I think this would be far from happening. There are species which are incredibly resilient wether they be birds, mammals, insects, sea-life, etc. I know you touch on the sickenignly disgusting water in CP2020 - however the current problem of box jellyfish won't go away...they are very resilient and are aggressively taking over areas not traditionally theirs, and they survive in polluted areas too. Same with plants, but I won't go into more detail. I will sum up by the quote from Jurassic Park... "Life finds a way", and no matter the adversity, life will find a way to survive/adapt/etc.

How was the wildlife in CP2020? Hopefully not many mutated scorpions etc. :D

Scorpions are incredibly resilient, and right now survive in very harsh conditions. It is very possibly they might be mutated....that would be kinda fun now that you've brought up the subject. Imagine hugely mutated scorpions (man sized) that have been captured and cybered for nefarious purposes... as a GM that would be fun to put up against players.

Here's my 0.02 cents: I love CP2020, but I think the vision needs an update. I think there's room for impending doom in some areas of North America (like the war ravaged areas - nuclear fallout wastelands). I would think instead of the 1980s view of what will happen, perhaps something completely different will go down. Government collapse, ecological disasters and so on. Imagine New York, Miami, New Orleans covered under 3-4 feet of water. Local/state governments trying to take hold of their little fiefdoms after the big government collapse. Perhaps a reboot could be the opportunity spell out exactly how the megacorps take over from the beginning instead of them being already in control (just sayin...)

The range of conditions that I envision vary greatly: complete anarchy in various parts of Europe or Asia (think of Russia in the movie Babylon AD - the one with Vin Diesel), High tech, high security and pretty clean Western Europe/Britain (think of New York in Babylon AD - as an opposite to my earlier thought). I imagine North America to be somewhere in between. Large cities (not quite the Megacities of Judge Dredd, however not too far from it) dot the American/Canadian regions. Everything else is a vast struggle wether warring factions (competing warlords), small communities trying to fend off predatory bandits, roving gangs of nomads each with their own agendas.

Inspiration for the way I see things (if I had my druthers): Jericho (the TV show), Continuum (another TV show), Almost Human (yep, another TV show - and it rocks, you should check it out), Dredd (the movie), Elysium (another movie), Babylon AD (an unrated movie IMO) and of course the usual suspect of cyberpunk movies and books that I need not repeat. I'm sure there's more out there that match what I would include in my game, however none come mind presently.

I think u got the point,I do no know I is it gonna be an open world or an open Night City; I would prefer a more detailed NC than a scrappy open world.
In the case CDPR get nuts and give us a full world, I would go for your ideas, but still not too much fallout style. A semi-dead forest with some muted predator is IMO better than thousands Km of wasteland

Well, i just resumed what's written in the books (and mostly, what i remember lol), the world of cyberpunk is really "mega-city" oriented, since 1990, and as stated, the paper-fin Ozone layer, there were (at least in the US) a nuclear attack at the rockefeller center, a Nuclear power plant who blown up in Pittsburg, all birds are dead, acid rain, sea pollution, disease (virus, "Sida/Aids II", natural epidemy), country-side had been abandoned for large city, because of the increasing natural cataclysms (hurricane, storm, twister), and the increasing dryness over a major part of the middles states, there was also massive floods over the southern states, a lot of nasty stuff like that.

It's in the books (and probably a lot more i forgot since the last time i read it), but it just describe what's usefull for the players.
Take the Nomads, they're a bunch of people, living on their own, outside major city, so i can assume they hunt, go fishing, etc... the usual survival stuff
Because it's clearly stated that the Nomads are the outcast of society, everyone use them for the dirty jobs who needs to be done and that's it.
(Like, in the first south american conflict, they send them to "end the war" because US hadn't enought soldiers to send there, but US army abandonned the Nomads there, they had to walk back to America, it show how much people care about them)
So the wasteland should have a few wildlife still going on,just no birds.

Keep in mind it's not Fallout, there was no apocalypse of some sort, no nuclear warfare or biochemical wars, so i doubt you'll ever meet any radscorpion or any Ghouls, it's just a fucked up world, directed by fucked up peoples, you may enter into radioactive place, eating fish from polluted water who'll makes you sick, but city are still clean and ready to eat you.

I think wild-life has adapted to it's new environement, if there are wild cats & dogs in Night City, there should be some wild boar, moose in some place, but since there is major dryness in some states, depending on where you are, you'll have more or less chance to find some i presume.

But as i said, we don't know a lot of stuff over wild-life in cyberpunk 2020, or i just didn't read the book who talk about it.
I presume there is some in the wastelands, after all the United States are a really large place, so I doubt there isn't any forest left or whatever.

All we knows is that "Mother-Nature" tooked a serious punch in the face.

I don't want CP to become like MGS but I am impressed by it for e.g how character model moves around the world e.g sprinting, jumping from one building to another.. it does look great! Deep story all the way, I am fan of sad moments/drama, story with down to earth characters, no super hero BS!..

Perhaps CDPR could play next Snake game get inspirate to create something even better. Good luck.
GTA 5 was great but I am hoping CP will blow everything we seen so far out of the park..

I don't know how CP77 will play out, but logicaly it will be the same as the pnp, so you shouldn't be too much worried, you'll be a real human.
in cyberpunk, you can die by falling, you can't jump from on building to another (unless it's humanly possible, or you've been cyberneticaly enhanced), and in most fight, it will just take one bullet at the right place to kill you.

So you'll have to keep your "rambo killing spree time" for when you'll be enhanced enought to take a few bullets without bleeding to death like an idiot lol.

Story wise, and seeing the world where Cyberpunk is setted, i bet you'll have a lot of drama, good as bad (understand, sad stories), and my bet upon the main story would be an Arasaka's revenge over Militech after they blowed up their tower in 2023 or something with a nuclear device (in the second Shockwave book).
Maybe it happened before 77, but i just can't see Arasaka letting Militech get over with it.
Or it would be to leave that crappy world and go to Mars (they already build a colonial base there around 2020, it's stated in the second shockwave book, so in 77 it would be possible to go there i think, of course, only if you can afford you a really expensive ticket).

Haven't looked at everything already said (100 pages >_>) but something that I think would be cool:

-Choice/ consequence is very important for a good and immersive game which has been done already with witcher 2 so I don't really need to mention :p
-Mind f**** I think would make for a great , dark story in this epic cyber world- Just like in the trailer where the police guy and cyber lady are actually working together (at least that's how I interpreted it) ,, Also Colourful lights, midnight clubs , contraband like the eyedrops in Looper etc. seem like an obvious addition IMO to add a bit of darkness and atmosphere.

You find yourself in a party, surrounded by people- or so you think they are people. You can't tell whose organic and who is synthetic which adds a sense of paranoia to the player whose just trying to have fun but at the same time hoping to go back to his house alive and well. A cyber futuristic world is an excellent world for suspense, dark atmosphere and again, a good mindf***. Having recently read Ubik I just want more of this kind of thing and it's something Cyberpunk could deliver with excellence.

Another idea,
this is still a mission in the club. Your drink was spiked so you rush to the bathroom. Inside you see a man and woman getting ready for some fun- they notice you so they go into one of the cubicles. You pay no attention and wash your face at the sink when you notice blood sprayed onto the wall of the cubicle where the couple went- the woman was a synthetic. She walks out of the cubicle pulling out a phone from her handbag. "It's done" she speaks to the person on the phone (we don't know who he is as of yet) whilst staring at you with blood dripping of the blade attached to her forearm.

I'm liking this idea so i'll expand on it later (too tired now :p) If you like and want to develop on it feel free and design a cool idea :D

Ever since the mid-90s and I started to play some open games like Elite II: Frontier and The Elder Scrolls: Arena and being a huge fan of Blade Runner and Ghost in the Shell, I've been wishing for an open metropolis cyberpunk RPG game, so it's nice to see my "dream game" finally coming true.

There are especially two scenes I've had in my head since then. One is jumping out from a huge window and fleeing from a fancy office in a very tall building while security runs in, and then grabbing a horizontal flagpole or something with an augumented arm to save oneself from a certain death and then slowly jump down into a filthy back alley.

The other is simply to see a TV in a rundown bar somewhere and see a glimpse about something you as a player did earlier (bank heist or whatever).

Not very RPG-ish suggestions, but meh. There are plenty of other ideas that built up over the years too, but considering how much I enjoyed the two Witcher games, I'm having good faith about this game, so I'm sure they got the RPG stuff handled :p

It would be cool to see something like that and it would be different depending on what choices you made; Maybe you weren't focusing much on stealth so they show a sketch of your face they made up from what people saw of you. From there people may recognise you and react differently to you when you walk down the street or wherever.

First of all greetings to the community of this game , I would like to exhibit here would be my dream RPG , starting with a complete translation of the game my father tongue (Spanish ) . And since the game will have online multiplayer option , I think a server for Spanish speakers would be essential.

It think that developers should bet heavily on the game options on- line , because I personally think that the ways campaign well , but are very limited, and even after spending the game you start it re- living a totally different experience , is the on- line options where your role in sharing with other person , you make the video game more resembles that of old pen and paper , therefore, step here to present my requests for that feature online multiplayer :

- Dice in the game and ability to create chat windows where you can see the result of the same .

- Facilities for players to mastering.

- Commands for emotes , type / me .

- Being able to choose between the view in 3rd and 1st person , can still see the chat window in the latter.

- The ability to take your character from singleplayer to multiplayer .

Finally present a topic that seems more complicated, "Separate and differentiate the game console to pc" . My idea is that 2077 is a pure cyberpunk RPG where players must role-play your character , and this requires a keyboard and mouse. Although both can be game - modes which do not lack role-play . My proposal is that players connecting from the console command can only access - game modes where rolear - needless , and access to areas where the interpretive role of the character is essential , must do so by using a keyboard and mouse.

And that's my proposal , greetings and thanks in advance .
