that would probably work but.....that would be DLC we play after we played the original CP2077, and if we get then only specific sections and not a big open world like the original CP2077...than you would have less freedom and a lot of people would critices that the DLC would be to linear

I want to see how the world changes after 57 years - city, weapons, tech, style .... . But yes, it will be too much work for a DLC.

Yes, these guys know whats real cyberpunk . I play ''cyberpunk games'' but I think that the punk somehow is missing from the hole experience.

That. That right there! That is exactly what CDPR need to fix with 2077. Getting the 'punk' back into Cyberpunk.

It’s more like a Tarantino approach,” Sebastian concludes.

Well Tarantino is my favourite director, so ....
The only problem is how can I hold the hype for 2 more years

It would be great, if gear was involved, to have a place to show off the gear, such as mannequins or what not. However, if there are mannequins, they shouldn't be boring and there should be an option to have them in different lighting so if you have an assassin-type piece, have shadows on the mannequin, or if you have an angelic type piece, put extra lighting on it. Also, mannequins are cool, but sometimes boring. If you could put them in different poses, or even if there weren't any mannequins display cases like there are in The Batcave would be awesome as well.

mannequins could work in a cool part:

you go home and a cutscene plays of you having a shower or something, cutscene ends with you out of the shower so you decide to go pick some clothes. You go to the room with mannequins and BAM one of the mannequins is actually a basic built A.I that was spying on you and you end up fighting it etc. <-- the mannequin can belong to some underground organisation you can choose to either join or hunt down after this event (kind of like dark brotherhood but 10x better)

You'll probably have some places to pack your items / equipment, but there are good chance that you'll be looted often.

In 2020 it's in the game mechanics to have your apartment looted every now and then.

If it work the same in 77', it'll be a good way to keep you doing mission and replacing stuff you lost.

I doubt you'l have some kind of "batcave" or dedicated place, more like a coffin in a crappy hotel or an apartment at corpo plaza, the game's basis is that you have to be always "on the run", and the few times you'll have a "house" you'll spend your time having it looted or destroyed or both.

...Or worse, filled with trap (come on... sit on that couch to look at tv haha)

"Cyberpunk isn't about saving humanity, it's about saving yourself"

aaaahh that sounds great :O!! living in a futuristic city where you try to make it to the next day. Living in a crappy hotel room, drinking a crappy coffee in the morning and then going out onto the streets hoping you make it back alive. Anything can kill you, the man walking towards you could be a random npc or an augmented assassin sent to kill you aaaaaah i really want this.......... colourful lights, some sort of futuristic drug (like eye drops in looper) sold around the city, night clubs, lots of crime and underground agencies etc. all with a mind f*** story >_> i want....

There is already a futuristic drug of sorts called Braindance, that basically allows you playback another persons memories, feelings, sensations and all. Hell, there quite a few who have completely forsaken their lives for braindance playbacks.

That's exactly what Cyberpunk is about, we should even copy/paste what you said and put it behind the game's box :D.
Imagine Deus Ex : HR, with at least 20 Sarif Corporation, real consequences (if your piss a gang, they'll go after you), real drugs (not just beer), a lot of implant, a lot of gun, a rock'n roll vibe, and no:
"I'm the hero, so i have to look like a dark-minded-badass-who-lost-his-GF-cliché-video-game-hero-because-i'm-so-sad-that-my-life-sucks,but-who-care-it's-the-same-in-every-video-game-i-played-recently"

That's the main difference between US and Japanese Cyberpunk.
Japanese CP is often, realy cliché "character" wise, with dark-souls, "above everyone" philosophy, etc...
Whereas US cyberpunk, each character has it's own agenda to follow, and don't really care about other people, excepted if they're on their way, it has an Anarchist feels to be honest, whereas JP is more "nice guy".

It makes me lol when i read (not here, don't worry lol ) people thinking it's going to be a Ghost in the shell or an Akira game because all they know of the Cyberpunk are anime (not that they're bad, but it's a totaly another universe), probably CP77 will be a lil inpired by japanese Cyberpunk, design-wise, but story-wise, it's going to be pure-breed-us-cyberpunk.

for example, Ghost in the Shell, even if i really love the OAV and i watch them often, the "I'm a cyborg, i'm a cop, and i spend my time doing boring speech about philosophy and things" stuff makes me smiles... Seriously... GUYS?! Who cares?

I'm sure my player in CP2020 would love this if, in the middle of a fight, i'd open a Socrate's book, and start reading them a few lines... As they were trying to sneak in a Petrochem labs to steel chemical products, so their Medtechie'll be able to produce drugs, because they planned to stole the Voodoo boys territory, and selling better drugs than their is a good way to start (this, and beating every Voodoo' they'll meet, so they'll know what they're up to).
Good place for philosophy.

If Akira was an US Cyberpunk, Tsetsuo would've kicked Kaneda's ass, fight against the army, walked to the white house, kicked the US president out, and said "Ok bitches! i'm the boss now!"
With this playing in background:
No useless blabla, it stay rooted in a "everyday life", adding some rock'n roll and cyber stuff to make it cooler.
If someone if powerful enought to screw other people, and take the crown, he'll do it, no matter what.

In Cyberpunk (game), there is you... just you, and I hope you're badass enought to end the day.
Good luck Choombata.

IMO, a good idea of the "background" for cyberpunk, in media, would be something close to the intro of Robocop 2, an eternal chain of egocentric people, fighting for their own agenda.

What I would like to see are some entertaining and storydriving consequences for screwing up and failing, rather than failure generally meaning death and a restore from save.
