No bullshit boss fights period... I don't mind if the boss, or his guardsare a little stronger, have better weapons, etc... but nothing that breaks the rules of the game you have to live by... no pixel bitchy bullshit where the boss can only be damaged by doing this one bullshit thing, otherwise he is immune to all damage.... I truly depsise it when the rules suddenly stop applying to a character becaause "story bullshit special moment crap"!

In - game media player!!!! I'd like to use my own soundtrack, or listen to shoutcast stations from inside the game!

I can't even begin to agree with this strongly enough.
THERE IS ONE SET OF GAME RULES - EVERYONE FOLLOWS THEM.

Well.

Except the player.

Who can, you know, come back from the dead.

Freeze time.

And go back in time to fix mistakes.

OTHER THAN THE PLAYER, everyone else follows the rules. Because fun.

I agree and i don't want conventional boss fights in my Cyberpunk game.. Bosses shouldn't necessarily be people 10 feet tall and twice as strong.. People who can take 3 rockets in the head and can still stand up.. Some of them can be weak, cowardly little people with strong people working for them.. (You beat the strong henchmen to get to the weak boss who can't even put up a fight.)

Or, be able to avoid boss fights all together and come up with another solution that doesn't fall into a boss fight trope. If I am an assassin, I want to sneak in and kill the boss without them even knowing. If I am a corp, I want to buy the enemy out, take everything they own, and force them to work for me, or maybe pay another NPC outfit to do the dirty work. If I am a netrunner, I want to hack their systems, maybe I find some blackmail material, or perhaps find something of value where I can talk the person down non violently. If I am fixer, I might broker a deal that brings peace (with me being on top)...but lets have solutions that does not have the character have to fight through hordes of mindless NPC's and then fight the boss. Like I said, I really do not get a rush from going rambo anymore in games. I have done it all violent wise. I really want to play the game where I use brains and not a gun to solve problems.

Yes. There are many creative ways of ending someone. The more choice and logical challange is to it the better. And also I hate it when developers try to equalize the ending to a story. I mean like "You don't have to fight the boss but you need to fight these other guys". When being smart is rewarded with extra chore it's super-wrong. I want to be able to go to the right places, do the right things, and say the right things to the right NPCs and do it all using my own agency given by the basic mechanics. And I want it to be rewarded with me watching as all the cogs I set in motion do exactly what I want without me moving a finger.

I'd like to see a boss confrontation Se7en, or Legato Bluesummers (Trigun anime) syle. I mean, when actually killing him/her ( e.g. revenge) would make him/her win in some wicked way. But first and foremost, he/she can't be just this evil guy/chick "you need to deal with" archetype.

TLOU spoiler:
Joel was in a way the most likeable villain in games history, if you know what I mean.

On the other hand final confrontation in TW2 makes me rather optimistic in this regard.

I would love a turn-based combat game (like XCOM, Shadowrun Returns, etc.)!

It won't be a turn-based game. It will be developed using CDPR's REDEngine - you may want to take a look at some of the videos of The Witcher 2 to get an idea of the games CDPR make.

Anybody watch dollhouse? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dollhouse_(TV_series) it was a great concept show. People having their minds erased and replaced with artificial personalities and traits. So a person could be a teacher, then a fighter, then a surgeon..etc. The characters believed they were the roles given.

I think there was something like this in the books, not sure. We already have braindancing, so this should be super easy. Personality sim implants. Install the software and you can be anybody. I can see this being used to "fix" people with mental disorders, jails being replaced with having the characters personality/memories altered (kind of gave hints to this on the video), I can also see the dark side. People kidnapping or hacking peoples brain implants and altering their memories/personalities by installing a false personality chip. You can turn stay at home parent who would not hurt a flee into a ruthless assassin with a quick hack. I can see brothels offering to have prostitutes with the personality selection of your choice. Some might do it willingly, go in, let their bodies be installed with the personality of choice and later they wake up with no memory of what happens, but have a big paycheck..the risk is self explanatory.

Related to above. I would expect there would be a new form of prostitution. People renting out their bodies. I could see people going into pods at a body rental and then wake up remote operating/possessing someone else to do with their bodies (within reason) what you will. From a night of debauchery, to just going out and having fun. This would be popular with the older crowd who cannot do the things they once were. There might be different levels, like the local level might have average people renting out their bodies. The underground/criminal probably have kidnapped people or others use their bodies to the usual, to extreme action, to using them to rob banks against the owners will, and then we might have legal clones, where the rich have a whole bunch of clones/slaves that they were like clothes.

A lot of potential here.

Thank god for that...

I swear I don't get this desire for games to take backwards steps... it baffles me...

Hell the top down view retro bullshit is what keeps m from playing Shadowrun or Wastelands 2... just no interest in that kind of thing, it's 2014, games should not look like they were programmed in 1992.

You REALLY need to go and look at some Witcher 2 and 3 stuff, Wisdom. I know how much it hurts you to see elves and dwarfs cavorting around, but it would ease your mind on so many issues.

I think A.I. and robots will be pretty common in the future. We might not have true A.I. yet, but we do have virtual assistance now like siri, google now, and microsofts upcoming cortana. It looks like we might have self driving cars relatively soon, google has been buying up robot companies and hiring leading A.I. researches like crazy. It seems pretty clear something big is in the works.

Self driving cars seem a no brainer, I can see a lot of dissatisfied people can't find jobs because the machines are taking over. I can even see people working for A.I. bosses. That would actually be pretty cool. Or like in almost human, you get a android partner if your a cop. Or buy a robot assistant/maid/buttler/security. Like if you were a private investigator you can hire a live assistant, or get an A.I. robotic assistant if you got the money to buy one.

I can also see everybody talking to their personal A.I assistants in the future and the assistants will be talking back, but not in the boring robotic way we got, but they have their own programmed personality that the user decides. I have not seen the movie, but I heard something about it, maybe something like the movie "her"?
