Well, save-load is not mandatory. Living with the consequences of your failures is part of roleplaying too.
I wouldn't even call it "my" failures. Because it's RNG machine throws obstacles or even interrupts the game because of no reason, other than rolled dice. Sure, it's the core of various pnp and even crpg, but for me it was bane of many oldies from 90s.

It depends on how RNG implemented. And some RNG is better than "49/50 skill check automated fail, you need 1 point of skill".

Yeah, another annoying mechanic. You have to sit and repeat the same action till the right roll.

Instead of just making it clear - you invest here, you get this. You invest there, you won't be able to "buy" this ability/raise skill and you will have to use different methods.

I'd like some cars to be self driving, I think it's fitting as we are currently seeking to achieve this with current technology and I believe by the year 2077 we should have the technology to pull this out reliably. It doesn't have to be all of them, maybe there's some old fashioned car that will not have this function, but newer models should be able to self drive.
(Or you could do it Far Cry 4 style and have your character drive the car for you, but the problem with this is you can't drive and do other activities at the same time, like shooting or browsing the menu)

Another thing, as an adult who has less and less time to spend on gaming, I'm beggining to enjoy less and less of the open world games genre (such as GTA, etc.). I just want to have some fast action as soon as I start playing, I've spent hours commuting and do chores daily, I think it's fine to drop some realism for the sake of engaging gameplay.

Your words about how every side quest would be unique and not repetitive will be able to solve this, now there's a feeling for accomplishment for completing them instead of feeling like doing chores for other people.

My ideas what make agreat RPG:

- Mod support!
- Soundtrack, background noise are essential for an immersive experience, this is more than half of the feeling/ setting you create.
- Animations for everything, especially because FPP, Did I say everything yet? EVERYTHING! :)
- Main villains (if it will have) need a valid and explored reason why villain, we cant just assume evil because. Wich kinda leads to: Backstories of NPC's, bosses, compagnions.
- Im wondering how the lore and streetreputations of certain NPC's will be brought, can we read the news? Can we tap into encrypted communications? Hack cell phones?

- In one of the first video's released with Mike Pondsmith he talked about being whoever you want to be, since this is not
Second Life you guys choose for V, a mercenary on the way to gold, background options, wich is acceptable!
However there should be some options as other 'jobs on the side' besides the main/side quests to make some quick cash, maybe unlock certain skills due to more experience as a delivery driver/cop/private investigator/stripper/dancer/thief. Make up stuff to do besides the main/side quests/ storyline. Make us take part in the life of Night City, It adds to the immersion.

- Mechanics/ minigames for EVERYTHING such as: Pick pocketing, hacking terminals, hacking people, data mining, lockpicking, personality scanning of NPC before conversation.

- Audio fx, visual fx and animation movements, pan speed need to be affected by blast waves, hacking, heavy gunfire, gunfire inside or outside.
- Realistic ballistics and hitzones on the body, 3 shots to the foot shouldnt kill anything. NPC's reaction to hit in a certain zone
- Goes for vehicles too, blow the tires, engine, gas tank.
- I think you got swordfighting pretty much down ;)
- Realistic ammo capacity and carrying, wich means no bullet sponges so you need 400 rounds for half a mission. Don't want FPP to mean Call of Duty shooter. Backpacks, belts, satchels to increase capacity.
- Realistic bullet penetration, recoil and destructible enviroment, the latter, i believe is taken care of.
- Limp health/ status like: cut/bleeding, bruised, burned, gunshot wound. So your stimpack cant fix your broken leg, you need an actual med station/ for that, or help soon if you don't want to bleed out.

- Character creator that goes beyond magazine models, I want realism, fat, skinny, ugly, pretty, flat chested, bald, cyberpunk hairstyles.
- Costumizable clothes, vehicles, weapons, appartments. If i want to rock my slavic neon striped addidas pants while hacking/ frying someone's brain I should be able to :) style style style!
- Animals, rodents, vermin, cleaning robots, flying/rolling dirt/cans maintenance robots/people, steam, smoke, all the lovely background stuff going on, i wanna stand still, watch life pass by for 10 minutes in NC and then proceed to the local arms dealer for my cyberkatana.

Sex, drugs, violence, racism, swearing, gore, rockconcerts, clubs, casino's, filthy stripjoints, thiefs, underground fighting/ racing, illegal betting, people addicted to living in a digital memory of someone else, people rallying in the streets, NPC's getting shot/ robbed/ assaulted: Mature oriented game, bring out the worst of mankind, we're savages.

Last request for CDPR: You really seem to listen to the community and take us seriously, very much appreciated! You rule!
But at the end of the day, its YOUR product, YOUR art, we are just costumers. You can't satisfy everybody, accept it. We live in an age where most jump to the negativity of things, don't let this affect you.

Thanks you so much for working on Cyberpunk 2077 and making it a reality. Cyberpunk is an art form admired and worshipped by so many people. I'm happy you guys are at the helm for pioneering this genre further for future gaming.

Even if this is an expansion or something you do as an experiment (Make it known to the player base) include an option to "travel" to a city that is MMO in nature. Have your single player separate and give the option to players to set up shop or gain a profession in this city. Customizing your own buildings, buying and selling properties. Make it ever expanding and unique.

Not asking too much haha.

*edit* Hiring a fricken orchestra, bring in local bands and artists, make the music unique and vast. Epic, dark, and fun will make the gameplay 10x more enjoyable.

Live stream a live concert to all players and include community events. I love single player games but when you can bring everyone together it becomes an epic experience.

Hey, all !

Just be careful not to fall into the "cliche side quest " hole, please, like some RPGs did. I mean the side quests are always important and they should not be boring, i.e. not cool to see 11 identical quests, using the "fetch quest item" idea and please don't include 15 "Kill a bad guy after finding him" quests (for example). You get it... Variety and originality is what made The Witcher great. Not to mention, killing monsters was greatly introduced in The Witcher series as it was a logical part of Geralt's job and the story, it was somehow "natural" to have many monster contracts and was never boring. But it was not the main thing to do, it was just a small part of the Witcher universe.

- Itemization is not a priority in Cyberpunk I guess, but still - it has to make sense , it has to feel nice finding a rare gun somewhere after some hard work...

- I would personally love to see some nice romance stories but in that setting they just cant be "all princessy" and they will not end well, in that anti-utopian future surely most people will be selfish or afraid to just marry someone, love has to be somehow twisted in this sci-fi RPG, where society is even worse that today's society.

I'm very excited about Cyberpunk 2077. First I want to praise CD Projekt Red for being such a great company that puts so much effort into their games, producing great content for a fair price without being consumed by greed in the ways of micro-transactions or releasing clearly unfinished buggy games at full price.

The feature that I would like to see in Cyberpunk 2077 is creation of player profile in main menu. That way save games and keyboard key settings get tied to the profile and all it takes is one simple switch from one profile to another for those that share gaming computer with another person.

Whether or not this gets implemented, I'm still extremely excited about this game. Good luck in all your efforts CD Projekt Red.

I wouldn't even call it "my" failures.

It isn't "your" failure. It's the characters; that's the point. You don't need skill metrics in a game where you are looking for "your failure" or "your success", just actions you yourself tackle and succeed of fail in. And in that kind of game, it is better to not have them to distort what "you" are doing. You are not playing a role there, just guiding a virtual costume.

"7/8 - you can't even try" -checks are a blunt instrument with no finesse or timely on-the-spot intrigue over the results. They are just passed over because their results are automatic.

  • Diverse NPCs – I really like the sheer mass of NPCs floating around the city! What I want to see, is a colorful bunch of different people and I’m not talking about races, but other characteristics like tall, small, skinny, stout, fat, less fat, fast, just a little fast, hectic, slow and so on. A fine gradation is important to make it feel realistic. I want to see a business guy with a suitcase, running over a red light and towards an incoming taxi, pushing away another person who was about to get in the taxi instead – things like this. What I also want, is the possibility to do whatever I want with every random NPC in the city. It doesn’t matter, if I get killed seconds later by the police or a crazy future monitoring device or a bunch of gang leaders… I just like to have the possibility. Murdering a prostitute, a homeless guy or a drug addict gang member in a steamy ally should be possible.
  • Localization – If you localize the game in other languages like German… I just cannot imagine the localization of Jackie… the Spanish-English mix might work in English, but hearing him speak German mixed with Spanish might be very painful, weird, wrong (and please don’t make him speak bavarian or saxon😉)… It’s like with GTA and RDR – I’m glad, that there is no German localization, it might feel very odd because of the slang and the swearing. In The Witcher it is totally fine since you have this “elevated” speech in the Middle Age-themed games. That works probably in every language. I don’t have a problem with hearing English all the time while reading the texts in my language, a s gamer you are used to it. I think you have to be very cautious at that topic.
  • Difficulty/Resources – A common problem of big games with open worlds is, that you come to a point, where you drown in money/ammo/all sort of resources. Especially if you are the type of Player, that solves every side quest and loot every stash and enemy and explore the world very thorough. I liked in the Witcher, that the first half of the game I never had too much money. There was always something I wanted or had to buy (mostly books😊). It would be nice to see some weapons or other things to buy at a vendor at the start of the game, that don’t seem to be affordable for a long time. That is always a big motivation for me to get forward in the story, do side quests, make some money, just having something to aim for. I want the feeling, that strong commitment in the game rewards me with things, that I otherwise wouldn’t get or at least would get later in the game.
  • Weapons – I don’t like it, when my weapons are ugly and clunky, like the scrap weapons in Fallout. I understand, that a highly modified weapon can’t look streamlined or made in one piece, but for me, a weapon or any gadget, that I use in FPP has to look cool. From what I saw in the gameplay-trailer, I shouldn’t be concerned because everything looked fine to me😉
  • Skills/Upgrades – Please no upgrades that just remove unnecessary restrictions, like upgrade your inventory, so that you can wear more grenades or things like this. In many games, like far cry, half of the skill tree consists of such nonsense. They restrict your game experience and as you progress, you can make it less irritating through spending skill points or buying upgrades. The best upgrades bring a new mechanic or improve an existing one.
  • Romance – I hope we get to see sex scenes. And please, make them normal, realistic, not that exaggerated bulls**t, we get to see in most movies and games. Just two people who satisfy their instincts would be a refreshing diversion. And I really wanna romance characters, that you don’t expect to be romancable. Like the Millitech Agent, Ms. Stout, I really want to find out her strange preferences (sub/dom/with furniture?). This could be extra hard to reach, maybe not if you make the wrong choices in the game, but definitely possible. Romancing should not just consist of making presents, I want it to have a bit more complex. Maybe you have certain advantages/disadvantages in the world or in quests if you are in relationship with a certain person. Most of the characters should be romancable with both genders, some are straight and some of the straight ones can nevertheless be romanced if you fulfill hidden requirements /make certain choices in quests etc… Maybe some chars don’t want you because you have too much/not enough technology implemented.
  • Preorder Bonus – please nothing ingame! I don’t want extra start money or a special gun from the beginning on, that makes all other guns of that type useless for the first 10 hours. And yes, I know, I don’t have to use it… but it’s there… and I hate it (even cosmetic things). Soundtrack, Making of, physical bonus – everything ok but please no ingame stuff.
  • I hope we get to see the street (or at least a similar one) like in the teaser trailer from 2013. I want to look up and just be overwhelmed by the scene. Rainy, dark, big, threatening. And imagine this with raytracing😊. 30 hours in the game, I wanna come to a place and think “oh my god, you can even go here, how amazing is this place, where does it lead to? No way! That looks so fantastic! I have to pause the game and dance!”
And of course:
Sex, drugs, violence, racism, swearing, gore, rockconcerts, clubs, casino's, filthy stripjoints, thiefs, underground fighting/ racing, illegal betting, people addicted to living in a digital memory of someone else, people rallying in the streets, NPC's getting shot/ robbed/ assaulted: Mature oriented game, bring out the worst of mankind, we're savages.

Dear Developers, take all the time you need to create the masterpiece we all desire!

Yeah. Remember, my dear CDPR, we love you 'cause you're not ubisoft/EA (and bethesda now), so don't do that. Just don't. Respect us as you did with TW3.

What I would like to see, if possible, would be a game that could be modded like crazy. So doing as Bethesda do with their games, but in a new engine.

So the way I imagine it, would be that the game come in two versions, one is the actual game and the other is a blank world, where all quests are removed. You would still have the vendors, random NPC, cars and so on walking around and you would still have the character creation as well. But when you spawn in the world nothing is going on, except you can do all the generic things. But making easy to use tools for modding the game, such as making quests lines, which would support both drag/drop functionality for people that just want to make quests fast and scripting for those that like to do more advanced stuff.

Also make it, so you could import custom models, textures etc. and even add an animation tool as well, which would allow you to create animations inside the editor, so you could load in V and a custom made chair and create a new animation for it.

You should be able to modifier item stats etc. Basically give the community as many tools to create content and quests as they like and see where they could take it. Looking at the stuff people have made for games like Fallout and Skyrim, it would be amazing to see what could be done with a game like Cyberpunk.

Some of the things I wish for are:

1. Realistic A.I movement/ facial expression: It can be offputting to notice characters walking around in strange fashion or just completely stopping because there is some type of hindering in front of them. Good facial expression is for me extremely important and they should definitely express happiness when happy and being sad when sad. To often you can hear characters cry, but when you look at them, they have absolutely no expression of it.
2. Realistic props: I want to be able to look at an apartment and feel that the apartment and the character fit. This is often something you will see be done in great length in movies where most props have a reason for being there and often bring some clues with it which further strengthens the character development. This is something you seldom find cleverly done in games and I would hope it would be done good in this game.

3. Weapon customization. I hope for quality and not quantity. In Borderlands 2 as an example, you had tons and tons of weapons, but they often felt quite the same. I hope each weapon has a reason for being in the world and brings with it a unique punch and identity.
4. No carbon copy areas. I reckon this is something that is almost impossible NOT to have in a game on this scale, but I hope to see the uniqueness in each building/level. A variable hint of different paint, rust, blood, posters, graffiti, etc.
5. Side quest mission with SOUL! Not all quests are for everyone. I get that. That said, there are so many quests in most games that just are plain boring and does nothing to bring immersion.. Take Divinity: Original Sin 2 as an example. While a great game, it had so many quests that you felt were just there for, well, for the sake of being a quest and give you XP. The closest games I can think of that did this quite good, was Vampire: The MasqueradeBloodlines and Planescape: Torment. Witcher 3 also has a lot of good side quests, but I have not completed the game yet, so I cannot use that as an example through and through. Point is, I hope to see intelligent side quests with a soul and not just something implemented for no obvious reason.
6. Massive dialogue options/arc. I hope to see several different approaches to dialogue, whether it is aggressive, sarcastic, ironic, sad, reluctant and so on. Something with a mix between Fallout 2 and Planescape: Torment would be insanely awesome. I would love to dig deep and being able to have a conversation that would go back and forth for some time and where it really feels like you or the other character are steering the dialogue.
7. Audio tapes I crave for audio tapes. Such an interesting and fun way of telling a story.

Hm, I got the feeling the game is closer to being finished , so our ideas might be arriving too late. Guess all is almost clear for the dev team, ...Realism sucks , right (i.e. understanding our desires might not matter ) :D

Felt like posting some things, it’s super late but… here it is!

// Romance

Long lasting romances, not having sex as the endgame of the romance, keeping it more realistic. A lot of games put the end of the relationship (meaning sex or a final demonstration of love) close to the end of the game, do this only if it fits the context.

Stout as a romance option lol, don’t look at me. You guys brought it upon yourselves showing her in the gameplay, now she’s popular (at least in my heart).

// Augmentations

Cybersnake cyberwepon

Vampires cyberwepon

Blades that come out of your fingers, and that can come out whenever you want like assassins creed hidden blade, except they are hidden inside your fingers. Like for example you’re wrestling with someone for some reason and you activate them while holding their neck or something, bam, dead.

// Missions

Not always be fighting? Let us have some fun with random things, even in missions, a party, maybe our mission is to try convincing someone of something? Stalling people while our guy does a job? They can lead to fighting later but you know, just chilling out a bit! Let’s go for a drink with Jackie, or eat ice-cream, whatever flows your boat.

Demonstrations of emotion like depression, at some point everything is going wrong for example, friends there are there to support (or not depending on how you’re playing). Or you did good and then goes to celebrate together?

Space Mission? If not, like, spaceship’s headquarters stealth mission? That’s be cool.

Friends! I know we can be lonely in night city, some people prefer to walk around with companions, some don’t. I’m the former! As dialogue is a very important part of the game to me. Every opportunity I get I will want my friends with me. So some options to choose to be alone or not would be nice.

// Random

Having characters react to how you look, this is shown in the gameplay trailer when V changes the her eye and Jackie comments on it! Great, more of that!

Let me befriend the corpooos! I mean they can still screw me over later/not screw me over, but let me try to be friends.

I saw in the gameplay that it showed how many degrees it was outside (I think 78 fahrenheit?) You guys will probably do this already but if that is relevant for the game please put celsius too!

That’s about it for now, many things I want have already been mentioned before (and maybe some of these too, but too many messages so I’m not sure).

Diferrent Clubs where you can meet or call in others npcs for party's , or for playing poker.

There would be nice meet 3 or even more npc's that you allready meet in the game in the same spot, like at the club, or even call them at your home for a party, or like i sad gambling.

What im saying is that you should have the ability to start a quest or start interactions with npc's you meet by meeting them in a place or call them to that place, and even see how 2 or 4 npc that are of some importance in the game meet with each other and how they get along.

Or let's say you need help with a quest, mabye call a npc that your friend with, or get along with, and ask them for help, and if they can, they will help you with an information or object, or tip, or even with theyr presance in the quest. It would be realy nice, to kind be like a fixer and have conections and do something with them.

PS: Must have lots of gambling games .Some kind of ufk or box show where you can bet on the fighters.

PSS: Like , if you Like my idea.

Although I have many ideas for what I would consider a dream RPG, one thing that always disappoints me with most of these games is the utilization of their so called "open world". There is nothing I hate more than seeing a door and not being able to open it. What i'm trying to say is that if there is no purpose for a building or room in a game, why does it need to be there. When I see a building in a game I shouldn't ask "CAN i enter that building" I should say "HOW do I enter that building". Every thing in the game should have a purpose, even if it's not a big one. Also, please have as many side quests and easter eggs as possible.
