I really can't wait for this game!!!

I am hoping you will include a Netrunner interface and VR storyline for the game. That would make it just perfect!

Couple of issues I am thinking about right now:

Environment:
Let it be living and interactive - ability to look closely and if that's possible to use any object in the world i.e. people, devices, and even thrash bins or soda cans. Ability to talk with anyone on the street, though not everyone will like to engage in a conversation with a total stranger. Streets and people should behave randomly with many interesting scripts. Some of them everyday situations but also rare situations like a fight. Everything that would create a next-gen illusion of reality.

Quests:
Main story plus ability to enjoy many interesting side quests. Those side quests should have different levels of complexity and difficulty. Some should be easy and quick and some long and hardcore difficult (in the sense of riddles or heavy fighting). Ability to play the game after completing the main quest to just explore the world and engage in side quests, e.g. to pursue a career in different factions/organizations; collect new cool equipment etc. Some quests should pop-up only after some time in different places - even the already known territory. That together with random and new "situations' i.e. scripts would create an instant interest in the environment, without moving through known areas without any interest just to get to a specific (new) location.

Equipment:
Tons of interesting stuff. Creates a tremendous amount of fun in the RPG games.

Complexity:
Let the game world be rather a little bit smaller but detailed than big and dull. I would love to discover new interesting places like e.g. an underground club, illegal factory or a shop, and much more other cool hidden content.

Gameplay:
Active pause would be nice for fighting. FPP/TPP to choose. Some level of authenticity in fighting would be nice i.e. human characters should not be able to fight after 4-5 gunshots, we should be able to see and feel real harm to the bodies. Healing should cost (at a clinic) so the players would think before engaging in a random fight.

Many small details make a perfect game (of course there are too many to make it really perfect). Outstanding and new features make it legendary.

Last but not least - STORY. CP2077 should be like reading a very good book.

I'm sure you can make it a legend :)

Foundry - I have to weigh in that having a simple to use editor that allows me to create quests, for friends etc is awesome. This would increase replay indefinitely and would be a huge dream feature.

The primary thing a Foundry should do is allow for new content and quest creation.

These same tools can be applied to a second in game feature...

IN GAME FIXING- Allowing the character to become a Fixer. Maybe I want to create some missions in town, and allow other `punks to run them, or choose to run them myself once I have the goods, and buyers lined up. With a sandbox world the ability to line up the kinds of missions that you want to run... and then to run them would be awesome. You would be in effect creating the kind of game you want to play.

Apart from some obvious stuff like all the ultra modern tech, implants, bionics etc few thing more sociological and cultural maybe more about the aspects which gonna have a tremendous impact on the 'feeling' of the game's environment:

Mass media

I think mass media should play a really huge role in more and more digitalized World. If any of you knows great postcyberpunk comic series - TRANSMETROPOLITAN he gets what i mean. Even nowadays Media play a huuuuge role in controlling crowds and shaping their behaviours what is it going to be in few decades upfront? I visualize it with big screens all over the cities' skyscrappers, ads in the pavement plasmas, interactive buildings' elevations and more!!! Media are omnipresent in almost every real life situation.

Religions/beliefs

There should be a real chaos of different religions out there. A real mess! Since people have found out more about earth and space they understood that they are pretty much masters of their fate on their own. However still masses need something to believe in to feel safer and some want to exploit them so they set up new 'religious' organizations to get money and control crowds. There are hundreds of new belief systems etc. created everyday

DNA modifications:

Apart from such modifications of human body as bionics and implants, as the biotechnology advances people tend to modify their DNA code in order to transform their bodies and shape them in different form in order to gain different features. Maybe illegal in some extent or banned by gov and only existing in the underground.

Constant tech. development

Most of the things mentioned earlier should be constanly being revealed during the game. In news, in Ads realeased at screen in the pavement, by people talking on the streets by changing illuminations on the skyscrappers by news corporations' drones flying around etc. There should be a permenent feeling of vibrant world which does not waste a second for further development. Game should obviously allow player to buy/steal/acquire/use generally interact with all this stuff which is being invented.

Urban decay and renewal:

As well as the city's population degenerates the city's structures also do. There should be a visible implementations of new structures to the vast organism of the city. Some parts of the city maybe some districts or blocks(there should be some new definitions introduced concerning the city structure itself i think) are dominated by more degenerated population ergo there more frequent gang wars or other incidents and therefore some of the structures within such regions have to be refurbished/restructured or just built up again. On the other hand in the more 'representative' regions there should be somekind of regentrification or postgentrification processes strongly connected to the still growing competition between corporations, shifting trends in the society etc. There should be 'bracket fungus' like structures and a constant change, the city should be really vibrant and almost alive like a vast organism, prefferably these processes should be linked to the constant migration of people to make everything believable. Here, on the aspect of urban environment itself I could go on and on as it is my cup of tea really.

Since there are so many others with great ideas I just wanna say factions. Factions should be important like in Fallout: New Vegas. Don't really have more to say but getting in good with one faction gave us a lot of information on how life was life under the NCR or Caeser's Legion which did help influence my decision making. I want to see quests exlusive to each faction maybe playstyle too. If you want to be a Netrunner we'd have to join a group of netrunners and such.

It would be nice to have the option to switch between first and third person viewpoints, so that those playing stealth can use 3rd person and those going for gunfights can use 1st person.

Also, it's been mentioned that a large portion of the story revolves around the Braindance. Let the player experience the Braindance, have in game BD scenarios that the player can purchase and play through like an in-game level. Maybe a military combat brain dance will make your character a better warrior, or other things along those lines. It's easy additional content, and once a level editor/mod kit is released, maybe people will be able to create their own BD's and share them with others.

One thing a sci-fi game must always have IMO is giant robots! Mechs that players can get in an get out of and just wreck stuff! Also awesome modes of a travel either by flying car, or by some weird looking but totally cool sci-fi motorbike that has like all the equipment needed to evade the authorities.

One thing that I really want to see is a good netrunning system, that's my first point...
But I have so many more things I'd love to see in this game. I'd love to see all the major companies, and perhaps even a few new ones, and also the penalties that you get for purchasing, and getting cyberware implanted into your body.

Now, in the hopes that you'll take this all into consideration, I'm going to mention a few things that I would love to see back in their full glory.

Random violence on the streets in the lower districts. This is one of the things that I think really makes part of the atmosphere for Night City, it's a dark place, where bad things happen, you need to see this, and know that you are just another corporate piece, another puzzle in their big game of money and power. And that saving random civilians is barely worth your time, an edgerunner works for the dime, and that won't change.

Style. Style was one of the biggest things in 2020, if you were going to get something done, if you didn't do it with style, it wasn't even worth doing at all. I'd like to see some kind of system where you can get small bonuses for the clothes you wear, and the way you complete jobs. Honestly, I'd be happy in there wasn't bonuses for what you wore at all, If it's simply clothes for vanity's sake, that's fine with me, and captures cyperpunk perfectly.

And now, what would cyberpunk be without a little bit of music? I think that the soundtrack you make for this needs to capture the different facets of the game, but aside from background music, it would be great of the character to have access to his or her own tunes. I would love to not only be getting the jobs done in style, but even rocking out whilst doing it.

Lastly, and most importantly, I would love for the whole atmosphere of the game to be perfectly suited to its setting. To be playing the game, and even while simply walking down the streets, be ever so slightly afraid of bumping into a cop who's seen your face at a crime scene before, or perhaps being in the wrong place at the wrong time, and having a cyberpsycho go nuts on you and everything else nearby. Even having people going around, who very obviously have the intention of harvesting cyber parts would bring a whole new level to the game that is both terrifying and exhilarating.

So, to sum up:

Capturing the violence of the setting it's in.

Having style take a role in how you play the game.

Sick tunes.

Atmosphere, the realism of how dangerous Night City is.

I'm looking forward to this game a whole lot guys, I know you won't let us down!

Edit: One thing I forgot to mention is that I'd like to see just how decadent and overriding society has become by this stage. Advertisements everywhere, with complete sensory overload in certain places would be very interesting to come across.

- Build in benchmark software/mode.
- Highly customizable appearance, tattoos, hair styles, eyes, jewelry etc.
- Physx system implemented on everyone's clothing.. no more stiff figures walking on the street. please make things like scarfs or jackets wave/move when wind blows or during the rain.
- Ability to transfer your character to multiplayer or co-op mode which ever mode is going to be in final version. or both?
- Scary or creepy missions?

Two existing characters: Alt Cunningham, and Rache Bartmoss (a la Soulkiller)

I'm with Edger . One thing I would really like to see as a long time player of the PnP version, since Cyberpunk 2013, is seeing the characters that are icons of this world. I want to see Alt and Rache even if it is their ghosts. I want to run into Morgan Black hand and Johnny Silverhand (think I actually saw him on the boards)

I loved playing Netrunners in the game. These guys basically became the shamans and wizard equivalents in our cyberpunk game. They could get to data that someone thought would never see the light of day. They control remote objects, set off digital bombs and hack other people's brains. I want a robust netrunning system and the ability to make my own programs.

Really would like the ability to customize my character fully with cyberwear, chips, light tattoos, hair and clothes.

Body lotto scores reported every night and the ability to play it.

PLEASE HAVE OCULUS RIFT SUPPORT!! I think this would be such an awesome experience to use this hardware to pull the player into this reality. There are drivers made to work with older games like mirror's edge and skyrim that will allow oculus support so I'm thinking this could be a huge win.

Night City should be dense with chatter and distractions. there should be snippets of conversations that you hear from the booster gang you just snuck past and the the indie rockers that are posting AR graffiti to advertise their shows. News programs spewing important info and drivel.

Mostly make the story thought provoking and post human. The philosophical bent that ties between sci-fi and noir that makes cyberpunk is that fast, sexy and deadly change that we take on as we try to become the thing we aspire to. Or realize that we've fallen so far from what we intended as we chased that dream. Get as many good writers to get you as much background and side text and audio as possible.

I'm all ready to drop some serious coin on this game. I'm chomping at the bit to get my grubby nanite encrusted hands on this thing.

- Make everything we see reachable in one way or another(with some sort of vehicle or perhaps a parkour system)
- Side quest need to be fleshed out and meaningful(not too many fetch quests PLEASE)
- If possible no quick time events
- I am assuming we are going to have some sort of place(a penthouse or an apartment )that we come to after we finish our mission,so make that place as much as customisable as possible,a place that we actually want to come back to.
- No invisible walls
- If there are going to be escort missions PLEASE don't make the person(s) we are escorting retarded
- Make HUD,objectives,minimap etc. optional( toggle off/on)

I hope I am not asking for too much, all the best to CD Projekt Red team and take your time.

I agree with many things in this thread. If anything, I just want to re-iterate some points that I've seen to add some additional emphasis.

-Make the HUD optional
-Give us dynamic weather
-Give us vastly different places to explore (slums to rich parts of a big city)
-Augmentations
-Non-linear story like Witcher.

SInce its based on a P&P-RPG it need to have the option to play the main Story in Co-op( with up to 4-6 ppl and a lot of interactivity between the PC). There are no good Coop-RPGs out there. Maybe a story that is based around a squad/gang, (so you and your buddies) and the descisions can be made by everybody, if someone makes a descision its fix and the whole team has to live with it (maybe optional. its great if you're playing with friends like i think it should be played but with random ppl a vote system might be a better idea). I would really love to see that :)

I like this too. It is difficult in that a character is either expected/forced to team and the character class has built in weaknesses that are compensated by other archtypes. Or everyone can solo through and teaming up becomes a rough balancing act for the skill interactions. There is no good way for either. City of Heroes had a decent set up that increased the mission difficulty based on the numbers on the team. But that game was really based around teaming and the archtypes reflected that in their balance.

There is an old game I used to love called Dreamfall - The Longest Journey, I think 2001 title that really got me. The story is simply amazing. You could do some research and see what you come up with. I'm not saying I'd like Cyberpunk to be similar in any way, but rather take key elements and implement them. I'm sure the game's going to be awesome anyway.

Okay, I read through the prior pages so not to repeat too much and it seems Character Customization is covered. All well with this, please by all means let me make the Character I want, be it young, old, female, male, ugly, fat, hot or whatever. Tons of options for both building the Character (clothes, armor, upgrades, cyber, big boobs, strong, weak, cosmetic and functional) both In-Game and at set up. Please no "fixed" models. Choice and build down to details, freckles or not, scars or not, lots of scars or perfect skin and so forth. Let me allow my Character to grow or stay stagnate as I decide, both through Game-play and Set-up.

With that said,

Game-play-

Game-play must be visceral. The world must have weight. If I pick up a drinking glass and throw it, it breaks against the tile floor. If I jump from a second story window onto a car, the roof of the car caves in. My hands and feet should be there. If I grab onto a ledge, I want my hands to be grabbing on. I want to see the blood, dirt and sweat on my hands (if that's the case). Which leads to the Environment. If I run, it's running Parkour, it's visceral, it's wind in my face, it's blur of the city lights, it's the honking of cars as I run into traffic.

Weapons and Damage-

Bullets going into a wall must do damage (this should be a no brainer for today's Games but it's often overlooked). If I shoot at a window, it should break. If I shoot an explosive at a wall, it must blow a hole in it. Destruction is a must. Not just for the sake of blowing shit up but because it would be what should happen. Nothing's more aggravating in Games today when fire doesn't set something on fire. When an explosion doesn't blow something up. Limits to destruction are acceptable but only to within reason of that destruction to begin with.

The HUD-

The heads up display for the Game should be part of the Game. Opening Menus and such are a thing of the past (aka Dead Space got this right). Menus for the Player and HUD should be seamless as part of the Game. Please by all means do not make it a jarring Menu that is both (or either) difficult to understand or navigate. I'm not saying make it stupid, I'm saying make it elegant.

Story-

Story is story and it's up to you guys (and girls) but what I would like to be is not a hero. I want to be filth, I want be the unheard, I want to be the forgotten, I want to be dead. I want the world to shape my Character, not shape the world. There is no hope in CP, it's a decaying world and the only salvation is the next breath you can take.
