Cyberpunk constant crashes

The game constantly crashes after between 2-5 minutes in game. The problems began after installing (only installing, not tuning) MSI afterburner. Any tips or stuff I've missed would be much appreciated, as i put some time into the character.
Troubleshooting steps below, game is version 2.21:
- Nuked windows installation, booted into linux mint (the save worked fine there running proton on steam, no crashes)
- clean install of win11 pro + newest AMD adrenalin drivers
- disabled steam cloud saves
- rolled back to save before the problems arose
- disabled SMT mode
Status: Game still crashes after 3-5 minutes in windows, most frequently when driving / game loading in new assets - sometimes AMD reports a driver timeout has occured. I want to use Windows because RT in linux is really bad.

System:
CPU: Ryzen 5800X
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-AX370 gaming K7 - updated BIOS
boot SSD: Samsung 980 1TB NVME
GPU: Powercolor 7900XTX red devil

-- NO OVERCLOCK ACTIVE -- Running ultra preset with medium RT native resolution, windowed borderless 2560x1440p
Only one mod enabled - Cyber engine tweaks, still crashing after disabling the mod.

Hi,
So the game only crashes on Windows? (game and saves work fine on Linux)
You didn't indicate it in your post, but did you "simply" try to verify the game files in case?
Did the game also crash when starting a new playthrough? (ideally nomad or at Phantom Liberty to be able to drive/explore a bit).
Also, CET is the only mod you ever used on this/these save(s)?

So the problems started with Msi afterburner and do you have it installed now? If you do does the game crash if you dont run afterburner?
