Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 presents a new standalone 10-episode story from the world of Cyberpunk 2077— a raw chronicle of redemption and revenge. In a city that thrives in the spotlight of violence, one question remains: when the world is blinded by spectacle, what extremes do you have to go to make your story matter?

Director Kai Ikarashi (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, SSSS.Gridman) brings a bold, cinematic vision to the series, supported by the lead character designer Kanno Ichigo (Promare, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners). They're joined by returning collaborators Masahiko Otsuka (Gurren Lagann, Promare) and Hugo Award winner Bartosz Sztybor as Showrunner, Story Writer, and Producer.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is created in collaboration with CD PROJEKT RED and animation studio TRIGGER and is now in production with a planned release on Netflix in the future.

OK well, this was like.
Thanos. It's inevitable. With a click on his fingers. The success of the very first story was brilliant. Those characters were well realised. And the fact that they put some of Easter eggs in the game was pretty cool. That studio that was working on first time did a brilliant job of realising the cyberpunk universe. And I think all of us expected a sequel or another version so although the story has ended. It sent a message about augments to your system can destroy you as a human being, so I wonder what the message is going to be in this. Sequel or new version with new characters? It'd be nice to see some of those older characters be referenced, and maybe they will be clever enough to do that, but the message behind it might come with a different tone, and I think that's quite important. And I hope that they. Explore our avenues. I mean, there's a lot where they can go with this, and I think they've built up a fan base. The game is going from strength to strength. We're all waiting on a new update, but there's millions and millions of fans and. I'd be interested in seeing Lucy. And all of the other garages that survived that. Did any of them survive that? I think David. I think they all died. Do I think there was a few loose ends? Wasn't there a few couches that we would? To see what happened to them, so hopefully they can reference that. Maybe do some sneaky Switcher rude to bring some of them back. Yeah, great announcement, but not totally unexpected.

Very excited for this. My only criticism of the first edgerunners was that it was too short. Hopefully 10 episodes for the 2nd edgerunners is enough!

The base game and Phantom Liberty had their conclusion, just like Edgerunners did. Taking place in night city is enough to know that this show will still carry the vibe of the game and the first Edgerunners.

They have to maintain the world as a whole. David, V, Silverhand, stories are just little flashes in the pan. In David's case, there was also understanding, one can never win against a real Goliath.

I don't think I can make it through another season of edgerunners, I'm still trying to recover from season 1

I am so so happy to hear studio TRIGGER is back for the next run! I was worried we'd move away from their beautiful visual art direction to something perhaps more generic looking. This is great news and I absolutely love that splash. I'll keep an eye out for a larger size to use as my wallp. :)

Excited can't wait!

I'm glad that there creating a season to of CYBERPUNK EDGE RUNNERS. There is 1 Easter egg in the new short song film that at the end, there is a little kid recording and u can see part of "his or hers" face. It is confirmed that David is dead but they do tease.
