Has anybody recommended real dubstep yet? (meaning not brostep crap) I think it would be perfect for a grungy future city atmosphere. Here's an example:

REAL dubstep style is awesome and would be great in context to environment and emotion of the setting.
(love that track btw)

Anything that is not mainstream is a must. The more underground and ((retro/neo)) futuristic the better. This is cyberpunk after all. I would prefer less vocal track personally as to not distract from the content, unless within a certain environment (club/bar)

Jeez how many videos are you going to post.

A lot, untill the cyberpolice comes to stop me.

Gangsta rap. Yeah...don't really need that in '77. Puffed up egos, bitches and hoes. No thanks.

That's somewhat of a cliché, but well, I figure every booster gangs will listens to Daft Punk, dubstep or Billy Idol.
Hip Hop/Rap beats have been the sound of the street for something like 3 decades now (maybe more), it will evolve as much as other musical genre (plus, guys like Paris never talk about "bitches and hoes" and, instead, are very politicaly oriented).
Thought, I'm not expecting some "GTA gangsta" in the game.
But something like "Jericco" in the movie Strange Days could fit.

I actually love music from interview video.

Classical, yet with modern spin. Don't mind Daniel L.K. Caldwell doing entire O.S.T.

That's about the style I'd like to hear in the CP. It's subtle enough to not jump over everything, yet provides a good mood.

Here is something that gives me a good feeling... from drinking in the fancy sky lounge to space and back.

When I hear this song, I always think of the beautiful high towers and neon of a cyberpunk city, even though this song itself is more of an atmospheric electronic piece, and coincidentally, it's called 'Midnight City' and feels very 80's to me.

Other than that, a lot of techno and industrial music, I feel, would fit a Cyberpunk setting quite well. Nine Inch Nails, I feel would be a very strong choice for a cyberpunky soundtrack.

I also quite like Depeche Mode, which around the late-80's and into the 90's had a strong industrial bent in their music.

But to lay off of Depeche Mode for a bit, KMFDM could probably fit very strongly as well.

I really enjoyed this music from the movie "The Machine" (I think they play it in the end credits in the movie)... feels very "futuristic" to me. I could see something simmilar being used for maybe the start menu screen or something simmilar in the game. Maybe it's not "dark" enough for the game though, but I would still like it if you sometimes hear something simmilar in the game.

I would also like if some areas in the game maybe featured music similar to, or actually made by, artists like Marilyn Mansons. Not sure which song to show from Manson, seeing as Marilyn Manson is probably my nr1 favorit artist out there, which means that there is a huge amount of songs I like a lot but have a hard time just pick one. So I decided to make it random, added all my Manson songs to my winamp, put on random, and pressed start, this is the one it picked. I really enjoy the instrumental part in this song, very rythmical heavy and dark and... awesome. XD

Then of course there is the entire Cyberpunk album by Billy Idol, the second CD I ever bought in my life, totally ahead of it's time (it flopped pretty hard due to it unfortunatly), and totally awesome. :) This is the link to a playlist with all the 19 tracks in order. Of course, not all 19 tracks are songs, only 13 of them are, the rest are an intro, intermissions, and an outro.
