11 pages and not one mention of Billy Idol's Cyberpunk? Shock to the System has been Night City's theme song for me for the past 17 years.
And then there's Wastelands, Neuromancer and Tomorrow People.

For song selections for this game I truly hope there's more than just techno and it's numerous sub-genres. Now I don't have anything against Techno but even in 2020 Night City there was more than just that. Johnny Silverhand as my witness.

Nah I dont want to see one or two only genres of music. It would be great to see a bit of everything. It will be annoying and boring to hear same stuff on the car radio while playing the game 50+ hours.

Teaser trailer had good music I prefer normal vocal tracks then just noise

I think I wrote it already before somewhere.. CDPR should allow us to import our own .mp3's just like in GTA3 on PC.

Let's be realistic here for a moment - CDPR surely appreciates all the recommendations but in the end (most likely) everyone has to settle for what Adam Skorupa and/or Krzysztof Wierzynkiewicz come up with. Given that CDPR is joining forces with (one of) them again of course (and I can see no reason why they shouldn't?).

Something like a Jukebox feature or the randomly played licensed music in certain places (à la VTMB) around Night City might still happen, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Mna, I am seeing very little Hi-hop or rap here... which is kind of wierd, seeing as how music in Cyberpunk should to at least some extent be about standing up against the status quo of oppression and inequality.

Some groups like Public Enemy, Tribe Called Quest, the Goats, Getto Boyz, NWA should be included in the mix. Maybe some Lupe Fiasco or the Fugee's,...

Late 80's/early 90's ganster rap and political hi-hop was really just urban punk in theme and message. Hell the whole plot of Strange Days revolved around the murder of politcal hip hop artist Jericho-1 (Me-Phi-Mi)

There also needs to be some funk, some Earth Wind and Fire, some George Clinton and P-funk all-stars...

And whether or not you agree with the above, there definitely needs to be some Jazz... some Harbie Hancock, Miles Davis, Sean Jones... give it that noir feeling...

Not weird, but I think the majority jump straight to the genres and musicians that come up immediately while having the word "Cyberpunk" in mind.

That said, I completely agree. Given that the world will consist of all types of individuals with different purposes and mindsets. It would be awesome if the game featured all sorts of musical genres.

If not quality tunes from the past. There's plenty of new great hip hop with electronic influence to look at as well. One album that I still spin on the regular from last year is Key to the Kuffs.
