Cyberpunk Soundtrack

CDPR, if you are not aware of this artist, please listen through his work and consider hiring him to do sound/music for Cyberpunk 2077, his music is high with emotion, yet
dark and dystopian, he can enhance and deliver those Bladerunner, rainy, melancholic vibes during the night time of Night City, please do consider him, he's extremely talented and has worked on game dev before.

Once again, he's incredible.

Thanks

PS: his latest album dropped quite recently: https://lorn.bandcamp.com/album/remnant

Is it just Rock or will we have Rap and Techno as well? Does the PnP make any references to different music style? I would love some rap songs in CP2077.

I like to listen Psytrance, its fun music if you have something else to do, but alone it tend to get boring fast.

The genre or setting will likely clover anything. In a wide sense, many music genres are fitting, but we'll likely see synthetic influences or modern ones. Techno, EBM (kind of) or rave related music might often be encountered, but not solely.

Rap might fit as well in gang hideouts or problematic areas, just as classic music could be played at high society / corpo events or areas or in some shops.

And rock music of any sorts will also fit.

The longer I think about it, the less I can detect an overly too dominant music genre as they all kind of fit in a situational way.

I expect to see all kinds of genres in the game, even if some might be more common. Given the social problems and whatnot, even rap should still be "in use" by then, if not somewhat common in some circles and areas or among some people.

Electroware is also suitably bleak for a cyberpunk setting...

Probably best to not have NPCs listening to any single genre (which is increasingly how things are now). Sure, there will be a few big rockstars (I use the term generically rather than with reference to rock as such) but it would be fun to hear some ripper gangs listening to cheesy Serbian Turbo-Folk, whilst the lounge music at the ripper doc was Franco-Moroccan, and the taxi driver who takes you there is listening to Bhangra.

I can now add serbian turbo-folk along with serbia strong to my serbian soundtrack list.

Yep, have variety.
