Cyberpunk Soundtrack

mannn I must be getting REALLY old. So I've decided to skip Experience & Jilted and move right on to Fat of the Land.

...hah!

If you're name-dropping Experience and Music for the Jilted Generation, yes: you are, in fact, getting old. ;D

As it is, a lot of kids in clubland today consider Fat of the Land "old school." Some of the kids nowadays are listening to Electro (whose influences should be immediately apparent to ya):

artist: Cyberpunkers
song: Check This Out

artist: Belzebass
song: Du Auch

artist: Dirty Disco Youth & Fukkk Offf
song: Nuclear War

If I go for "guitar driven", I usually go for KMFDM, m'self.

My favorite band! Good choice :)

Oh and Voitan: Yoko Kanno is genius. Loved Inner Universe the moment I first heard it: went to see Ghost in the Shell SAC Episodes 1&2 when they premiered here at the Fantasia Film Festival. The moment the first notes kicked in, I was hooked.

Oh and Bubblegum Crisis... classic. Tokyo 2040 is still one of my all-time favs :)

Old. Yep. When I hit forty, I decided that I'd keep my dignity and stop clubbing. The 'kids' of today, well, to be old and wise, one must first be young and stupid...

Bring on the old skool!

...HAH! Wonder where that leaves me, then... ;D

<-- 40, and still clubbing

(I also try to lead an active lifestyle, though. Weightlifting, BJJ, etc. Need to do something to fight off that typical sarariman build, nahmean?)

CDPR should take note of the music posted in these forums.

Some games offer choice for their graphics style in their main menu (like "lively/dark", "sepia", "old movies grain"). I wonder if it was possible for CDProject to make such choice for music/OST. So by default the game uses modern soundtrack, appealing to the modern crowds, but there is a switch in the game's options that changes the score to 80s Cyberpunk style or sth...

That's not a bad idea. An option in one of the setup menus that allows you to either use the default soundtrack, build a custom soundtrack from available tracks, or import an existing .mp3 (or whichever format) soundtrack that's on the local machine.
