I tried it myself, pretty meh. There's better cyberpunk games out there in my opinion.

What game are you referring to that you don't like?

Also the things mentioned in the list are going to be great time fillers as we wait for Cyberpunk 2077 to get released. So thank you for putting this together!

Hey guys!

So I see a nice list of PC / Console games here that are themed with CP, good job and thanks!

However, since the list grew long, could you help me out pin-point one of the best (in your opinino) for PS4 console?
I am seeking something more Singleplayer / Story related games - not really Multiplayer based ones.

Thanks guys!

Best

Honestly PS4 doesn't have a any truly great cyberpunk themed games currently IMO. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is supposed to be good but not excellent and kind of short from everything I've heard. Detroit: Become Human looks good ... but won't be released till this spring and you never want to count your chickens before they hatch.

EDIT: Observer looked decent too if you like adventure games, but I never got it.

"About: Ion Maiden's preview campaign is now available for download to all owners of "Bombshell Digital Deluxe Edition" or "Bombshell Digital Deluxe Edition Upgrade". You can download it from the bonus goodies section in your GOG library.

The game will fully launch in Q3 2018 in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Russian.

3D Realms and Voidpoint are proud to bring back the Build engine, which powered Duke Nukem 3D, Blood, and Shadow Warrior, in all of its hand-crafted pixelated glory. They’ve spent a lot of time tinkering under the hood to take advantage of new technology and techniques. Bigger levels, hundreds of new colors, and morphing maps that transform mid-level are all just a few of the advancements made to the engine.

Welcome to ION MAIDEN!

Shelly “Bombshell” Harrison earned her nickname as a bomb disposal expert for the Global Defense Force. When transhumanist cult mastermind Dr. Jadus Heskel unleashes a cybernetic army on Neo DC, Shelly decides it’s time to start chucking bombs rather than diffusing them.

Her journey will leave trails of blood and gore in huge, multi-path levels filled with those famous colorful keycards and plenty of secrets and Easter Eggs to discover behind every corner. There’s also no regenerating health here, so stop taking cover and start running and gunning. Honestly, Ion Maiden should probably come out on three hundred floppy disks.

Shelly’s quest to take down Dr. Heskel’s army will see her use an arsenal of weapons, all with alternate fire modes or different ammo types. Her signature revolver, Loverboy, brings enemies pain and players pleasure with single shots, or Shelly can fan the hammer Old West style. Shotguns are fun, but tossing grenades down their barrels and firing explosive rounds is even better. Bowling Bombs are just as violent and over-the-top as one would hope.

Ion Maiden laughs at the idea of constant checkpoints and straight paths through shooting galleries. But just because this is a true old-school first-person shooter doesn’t mean there won’t be all the good new stuff the last two decades have brought. Headshots? Hell yeah. More physics and interactivity? You betcha. Widescreen, controller support, and Auto Saves? 3D Realms and Voidpoint took the best of both worlds and cooked it all into a bloody stew.

  • The true successor to classic shooters such as Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior and Blood.
  • Built using the original "Build" engine, with additional enhancements to further improve the technology.
  • Beautiful hand-crafted artwork, built using original old-school tools and methodologies.
  • 7 exciting Zones, each spanning multiple maps.
  • Tons of enemies, weapons and carnage!
  • Best of both worlds! ION MAIDEN brings back the classic '90s FPS action you love, with modern additions such as physics and checkpoints.
  • Classic level design, no procedural generation! Expect multiple paths, cool effects, and complex set pieces!
  • True tracked module music!
  • Incredible weapons with alternate firemodes!
  • Easy access to development tools and modding on day one!
  • ... And about Multiplayer... Stay tuned!"

And last but not least another attempt to get the previously suggested Crusader: No Remorse, Crusader: No Regret and Brigador added to the list, now with maybe a little more convincing moving pictures and audio samples:

I didn't even realise, how many Cyberpunk world we have.

Yeah, definitely one of the best cultures.

There are a lot of cyberpunk games that are not on this list, such as:

- Technobabylon;
- Observer (this is one a true masterpiece and must be played by every cyberpunk fan);
- All Walls Must Fall (like an XCOM cyberpunk);
- The Red Strings Club (by Devolver Digital);
- RUINER (made by old Witcher devs, also published by Devolver).

I mean, A LOT of cyberpunk games... I can write a complete list later (if you want), by now would be nice if you add this ones.

Isn't Observer a horror game? Not a big fan of those. I have heard good things about it, though.

I have it. Couldn't really get into it. Also not sure I'd call it cyberpunk but then a) I'm fussy about that term ( not just anything with machine interfaces is cyberpunk or so would Star Wars be) and b) it really seems to have little to do with 'punk.

Yeah, it is. It's a bad horror game imo, but a very nice cyberpunk game.

You really should give it another chance... Then, back here and let us know what do you think about it. Please, just do it. Also, there is a big difference between just science fiction and cyberpunk... you know... Cyberpunk is more like a subgenre of science fiction, described by a futuristic setting that tends to focus on a combination of lowlife and high tech featuring advanced technological and scientific achievements, such as artificial intelligence and cybernetics, juxtaposed with a degree of breakdown or radical change in the social order. Ahh! By the way, Rutger Hauer is the voice actor of the main protagonist of Observer, that's all.

Thanks a lot for referencing Snow crash, it is one of the best Cyberpunk book i've ever read, and usually he is not even known, you can add part of walter's john williams Novels like :"The Crown Jewels" and "Hardwired". thank you ^^

This list is amazing, thanks for sharing it. I wish I could add too it but everything I can think of is already listed. :)

I believe Ruiner the game should be added to the list... unless there is a certain reason why it shouldn't be then ignore my suggestion.

Looks like no one has mentioned NEOTOKYO°?
I really wished this game would be updated or revamped. It has so much potential. It's as if Counter-Strike: Source & Ghost in The Shell: First Assault had a redheaded step child that's been neglected and left in the dark for too long.
