Dark Horse Comics

So I've finally gotten around to reading these, and within the first few pages we learn that a dude's wife has been turned into a bruxa. Did nobody tell them that vampires don't work like that in the Witcher world? Humans simply are not "turned". They either lose a couple pints and live, or they die. Period.

Yeah, that was a decent fake-out in the end. Previous experience with Dark Horse and licensed properties had led to me assume it was just another fuck-up, so I was pleasantly surprised. Now if they'd just stop with the whole thing with Geralt yelling "AARD!" and "IGNI!" everytime he uses them like he was in some Super Sentai show or something...

Actually all intrigue with this House of Glass solved for me in first 10 pages. That what dissapointed me most together with the art. Ordinary people just not so kind with witchers. Momentaly youstart to think -something rotten. And in most times it is. Dont need to be Sherlock to solve this riddle. And if story is flat and brings no intrigue - sorry guys but its become just boring. I rode that just to finish. But have to say -game quests was much more interesting than this cycle. Alsoreally liked that succubuss design .Now dont have satyr legs and tail. Seriously , just horned chick version or Beowulf Jolie version will look much better than girl with donkey legs. I still terrified from how Geralt have sex with her. Its clearly animalism when you think about that.

Ok, might go a little offtopic here, but how are the comics? Are they any good? Haven't read any of them =P

I'd say that the story is quite interesting. Some parts on the dialogue, or the action (Geralt repeatedly yelling Aard - Igni - Aard) could be better.

I liked the art too.

I'd suggest you read them, if you are curious enough. :)

For me they were simply alright. Not something mindblowing, but something to spend time pleasantly I guess.

Is the story a "new story?" Or just a comic about some of the books? Havent finished reading all the books yet, so I don't want any spoilers =P

No it's a completely stand alone story, with no references to the books or the games. :)
