Dark mode difficulty bug

Hi everyone,

I recently decided to play TW2 again but on a harder difficulty than my first time, which is the Dark difficulty. However, I think I'm having a bug. I'm saying that because basically, in the prologue part, I am 1 shotting almost everyone. I killed Aryan Lavalette with only 3 hit. And when I take take damage, I barely loose HP.

Now, I thought maybe I chose the wrong difficulty, but when I check the difficulty it says "Dark" and that If I change the difficulty, I'll lose the special armors.

So, is this a bug or it's the way it's supposed to be? I really don't get it.

* I installed two mods (only for graphics) which are the Better textures environment and the Flora overhaul. Could it be the problem?

This kind of problem is usually linked to having mods, or REDKit, active when you first started the game. You might want to look at this thread, see if it helps.

I did indeed try to install another mod from REDKIT, which was the combat rebalance. But When I tried to opened the FCR2.exe. it said the file was corrupted. In fact, I couldn't even move it to another file. Everytime I tried it was saying "file corrupted" (I downloaded the mod from Nexus since I couldn't find any link of the mod from the official REDKIT site).

But I do remember doing like 45-55 damage in the combat log right in at the beginning. I would gladly try to remove it, but since it's corrupted, it's like I don't have it so I can't "disable" it.

So, any idea how to fix my problem? Thanks for quick answers!

You need to disable all mods (you said you had 2, the flora mod in particular is known to cause this problem), start a new game, save, then reenable the mods and continue playing from there.

Yup, you are right. I just found the cause of the problem. It's the Flora mod. I'm just gonna remove the mod. It's not necessary.

But why in the hell a graphic mod would do that? It's so weird.

Thinking of that, any link I could use to download and try the Combat rebalance mod? One that isn't corrupted?..

Remember you'll need to start the game from the beginning, just disabling the mod isn't enough.
The best place to pick up FCR2 is probably from CDPR's own mod site:
