Dark swords effect on XBOX 360

have you guys removed the dark sword effects on xbox 360? it's just painful to play black and white while drawing the swords, on PC there's a mod to remove it, but on xbox 360? :(

The sounds should also be much more subtle, now they almost drown out everything else. The whole idea was good, but the implementation is waaaay overdone.

I was wondering about this. Console users might be screwed. Hopefully they will gently let CDPR know that IT'S ANNOYING AS HELL.

I'm hoping it's been fixed on both PC and Xbox. They should have got enough feedback by now.

We should take a page out of the BSN playbook and start a 'take back darkmode' crusade. :p

I finally finished my Dark Mode play-through recently and I crafted all of the Dark Mode sets. I don't think I will bother crafting them again on my next play-through because it was quite time consuming to find all of the ingredients and money to begin with, and I love how colorful the game environments are so I don't want to play it with that black-and-white effect again.

I did notice some very nice changes in response to feedback already (that checkpoint before the Draug was much appreciated :D) so I think they probably will tone the effect down a bit at least for the complete set. And if not, then I'll just stick to making my boss armor sets out of Kayran and Draug parts :p The game will probably be more challenging anyway if I play on Dark Mode but stick to the normal weapons/armor.

Naw, just send them some monochrome cupcakes :)

The changelogs given so far omit most of the quest-related bug fixes. I'm not sure if they got distracted from posting Part 3 because they were busy with other stuff, or if there's some other reason, but I'm definitely hoping that the list so far is incomplete. If not, there's going to be quite a few disappointed people on 17th April (Flotsam bug, all of the Steam issues, troll bug... quite a long list)

All the changes might not be listed in the log. There may be technical stuff or numerous little things not worth listing. I just saw in the xbox vid, knocking someone out in stealth mode now reverts to a cutscene like finishers have.

I managed to beat the game without using any of the dark armor, except in the first act, but the dark effect was too annoying. It would have been ten times better if the sword just had a dark effect and quickly faded away.

I may do this on my next run. Technically, that would be the hardest way to play the game outside of insane mode.

I've done it a couple of times, and didn't consider it any harder than using the DM sets. The "standard" sets are pretty powerful with the usual runes and enhancements added.

Umm, isn't the whole annoying effect done on purpose to annoy us? I mean, you get some powerful equipment, but it's also cursed so there's a trade-off meaning using it is a bit difficult and annoying

I doubt they meant for it to detract from the gameplay and limit visibility.
