So I got the Matrixy Voodoo Boyz leather jacket and finally found it! The piece of clothing I could love for the entire game! So I grinded for Deadeye, found some Panacea somewhere, and the other (25% bonus versus High Threat) and slotted em in, and grabbed a tech pistol.
Wow! Crit-tastic!
Then I played for like 50 hours until realizing it does not a thing to stats. This could derive from many things : stats itself, mods (my vote), too many mods cancel each other out, only one legendary allowed per clothing, and approx. 989 undecillion other possibilities. oof.
my suggestion would be to steer clear of clothing vendors, especially one's claiming to sell Legendary mods for clothing 0:
Or, just steer clear of Night City's Shops entirely...

Until we can (hmm?...
), I would also suggest waiting until most the gear you loot averages 700-1000, at which time many more 15% crit clothing items appear.
(BTW: not going to lvl 16 to swap em out and destroy my favorite jacket, for mods which don't work. This in turn actually killed any practical usefulness of the Crafting Tree for me, but that's for another thread...)
Still doesn't change that this is one of greatest videogames ever--somehow!
Thanks <3 ya'll @ CDPR for the kicks
