Dear Developers,You made an absolutely perfect game! I just started playing again, after hours and hours of playing. It's most breathtaking game I saw quite for a long time!Congrats! But there's only thing that's makes me waste my time sitting and watching absolutely perfect gameArt and listening to great atmosphere-making tracks but INSTEAD of playing game!Make something to disable autosaves! Pleeease! )))Even most tiny patch wold be quite welcome! And i hope that other players would sign this "petition"!!! ;D

if the loading times were faster, there would be no need for disabling the autosave

True to the above statement...and the crashes are also painfull to deal with every 1-2 hour (which is what my games does atm)

Auto save should only activate when entering a different area...not every house or whatever. I have been thinking of mucking around in the ini file to see if I can find any reference to auto-save. But I dunno... Despite that...I love this game! =D

Guys don't be silly. If they could improve the loading times they would have done so during development. However, autosave should be allowed to be disabled.

I haven't had any crashes at all. I keep seeing threads about crashes and have read reviews mentioning crashes, but it is a phenomena of which I have been able to avoid. I do agree with the OP that allowing the player to disable the autosave function is a good idea... as it is always a good idea to allow the player more control.

Yeah!I have also this kinda problem. In my family there is three people how wants to play this game. It would to be a good thing that when you are saving a game you can named that game also to your own name. Sometimes is difficult to look out whats saved game was my own. And all a time comes that autosave and takes some our saving places a way. This is difficult!! I just taked off my little brother game.. Well he is sleeping now...Very hard to families where is more than one player...Or Is there any chance take that autosave Off? Sorry my bad english....I hope that we can get a answer to this...

i agree on disabling the autosave mode, its freaky annoying to enter every house and wait 2 min's to save the game, walk around get outside the house and wait another 2 min's it is indeed annoying and needs to be fixed asap.*/signed* =)

/signedbumpYes, please disable this feature it is far to time consuming, go in a building look around 2-4 minutes, what a waste of precious game time for such a wonderful game!!

Signed...1)You should definatly add an option for disabling autosaves, unless they are before some scripted encounter that occurs right after you have opened a door and can go differently depending on your dialog choices...Since I haven't seen any of these so far, it is safe to say the autosave isn't needed...(shani's old hag doesn't count since after getting thrown out you can try again...oh and do to the load save issues I believe the hag should be removed from the game or she should stand in front of the stairs until you convince her to let you through...so no getting thrown out of the house countless times....)Suggestion for making autosaves lightinin fast, don't save the area you just loaded, just save the door that needs to be loaded when you load the game, an autosave should contain inventory, current stats, journal, and area to be loaded... this shouldn't take more than two seconds and would make 1+ minute autosaves go away....2)Also you should obviously improve the loading times or start placing tags on doors to tell players if they are important or not....exploring every house in the city takes hours(while running through the city takes minutes) and it shouldn't if most houses are useless...3)allowing names for the saves and not removing older saves from the list would also be nice...

Agreed, the game autosaves WAY too often. An added option to make these less frequent or turn them off would be much appreciated!/signed-Namaste

I'm all for this. As it is, it takes forever to load areas anyway. Then after it loads, it autosaves and takes another minute or so. Not fun.

Hi, first post and just want to /sign the above. Also perhaps 'Quick Saves' could over-write the previous quick-save atomatically, in a similar vain to say HL2 etc.. I use quicksaves a lot, and I notice lots of saves building up in my 'load game' list. And each one in the 'My Documents' folder is about 15-20mb. If I delete most of the un-necessary saves the loading and saving seems to be a bit quicker.

Hi all,About auto saves, I noticed that the system was a bit "smart" ! Indeed, If you are exploring a great area (egg: the swamps), then, you want to enter a house in order to visit it, you find nothing interesting, you go out, it's loading but in this case, there is no autosave and the loading is very quick ! On the other hand, if you enter a house to speak to a NPC and if this conversation updates a quest, in this case, you will have autosave ! But i agree with you, the second case happens really often and it can be annoying !
