"Death to the traitor!" - fighting Loredo

Hi all,

Chapter 1 "Death to the traitor" when I have to fight Loredo in the end, after the cutscene, QTE to dodge Loredo, the problem I faced is:

1. Loredo hit me once, and Geralt will die immediately.
2. I am not able to control Geralt to draw his swords, he is only able to use both fist to fight Loredo
3. Not able to roll (Spacebar)

is this a bug or what? Or is there any guide on how to fight Loredo?

You fight Loredo using your sword, not your fist. There are a QTE at the start of the fight. May be that QTE is bugged in your installation of the game.

In this clip, between 8:30 and 9:30 you can see the fight with Loredo.

My guess is that your swords aren't equipped. The most likely reason in Chapter 1 is because you didn't get them back after you visited Loredo for the Fist Fight quest? Or you got them back but didn't equip them?

I think I know what the problem is now, when fighting Loredo I notice that Geralt is still in stealth mode, and I can't perform draw swords, rolling etc. The question is, how to escape the stealth mode?

I didn't notice that my steel swords is missing (bug?), so before I fight Loredo, I went outside to fight the guard first, and loot their short swords, then get back to the room again to fight Loredo, now I am able to draw swords and kill Loredo. Thanks guys for your input, appreciate it.

Not a bug, you left it somewhere, probably outside Loredo's mansion after either the earlier visit or the Fight Club quest. I doubt if it's recoverable unless you go back to an earlier save, so you may want to pick up a decent sword as soon as you can.

Another possibility is that you didn't pick up your sword after the fight with Letho. Remember that he disarms you and then throws your sword (and his!) to the ground before leaving to get Triss.
