Delete any saved data prior to 1.07 then shut down PS4 and Pull plug

Switch PS4 back on and Make sure to back up data to a flash drive prior to deleting anything.

After patch 1.07 installed, I looked in my application saved data for W3 I had mostly 1.07 saves. I didn't touch those but deleted any saves which had a previous patch version designation. I restored licenses, then restarted the PS4, restored licences again, Just being superstitious, then started W3 then I continued my current game and everything seemed to perform pretty smoothly, weather and lighting were great, ran through a forest in the middle of a violent thunderstorm holding a torch and I didn't have any major issues apart from colliding with the odd tree.

The quest breaks like Roche not speaking and some other reported quests issue were still present but my copy is very much playable and not plagued by major performance issues. The only place I had a game breaking performance issue was the Cave of Dreams and I tried the process I'm describing and resumed that quest without any major performance issues.

Let me know if this fixes or improves performance for anybody.

Should go through the Bog, with a torch, with a dozen enemies surrounding you, running away, then Igni them all and tell me if the frames remain 30FPS.

Someone mentioned buying a physical copy magically gave them locked 30FPS performance over his digital. If anyone thinks this post is far fetched, trust me... what' been said to me is far, far more BS.

Not claiming it's 30 fps never said it was I'm just saying for me it is smooth enough to be playable. I've played TLOUS at 60 fps. I'm a visual perfectionist. W3 is definitely a disappointment. I don't think CDPR deliberately created a lemon for the PS4 but I would never buy another of their games on day 1 based on the W3 experience and the fact that after all this time they can't actually get the frame rate to run consistently. I do like Geralt, the main characters, the environment, the creatures and some of the stories. But the cities, lagging map and inventory system, and idiotic NPC's plus Roach drive me nut's. It's a good game, that runs adequately as opposed to a great game that runs impressively. RDR2, Uncharted 4, hopefully Fallout 4 will probably deliver but I'm losing faith in the ability of most games companies to be able to deliver this Generation.

This generation has just failed, they are pieces of shit. Better off building a superior gaming PC.

Sorry, call me negative, but everything released on these pathetic consoles fails to RUN AT A LOCKED FRAMERATE and It's absolute BS.

There are quite a few games that run at locked framerates on the new consoles: Forza 5, Forza Horizon 2, Killer instinct, MGS Ground Zeros, Metro redux, Wolfenstien TNO, Driveclub. And i'm pretty sure The Order 1886 never drops below 30fps.

It really depends on the developers priorities.

Again, just me being negative.

DriveClub is a solid 30FPS 99.9% of the time. MGS:GZ is smooth 60FPS 100% of the time, and Phantom Pain will be no different. METRO actually does manage to keep above 55, which in itself is one hell of an accomplishment.

And yet CDPR cannot optimize, months after release, lock the frames to 30FPS. I'm hoping 1.08 does NOT make this game worse and we FINALLY have a solid 30FPS.

As someone who went with the XB1 version due to it's better framerate, you can imagine how unhappy i was when i booted up the game with patch 1.07 and discovered that the "performance improvements" had resulted in a significant reduction to the game's framerate.

The wait for 1.08 begins, and i hope PS4 and XB1 gamers aren't let down.
