Sorry but no. It doesn't make sense at all because Edgerunners roughly takes place somewhere around 2075-2077 and this is heavily hinted in the game if you play as a Streetkid. And isn't David like, 18 at his oldest? While V being 23 now, which I'm not happy with because V as 27 makes a lot more sense. Anyway, keep in mind too that not every ending has Adam Smasher defeated and doing so in the anime would feel wrong for those who chose a certain ending.
