I know, it's very unlikely,... that's why people are mad.

And an automatic "we're working on [insert problem]" that pops up on the website as soon as people send in their reports, isn't cutting it.
Well them giving you a personalised reply isn't going to help, either. You want them to fix it. An acknowledgement that they are working on the problem meanwhile is about all you can realistically expect.

Not personalized, but an actual person from the dev team adressing the problem in an open statement.

This category was added very soon after the release (about 5hrs ago) and it doesn't appear "automatically" (posted by the support). So it's clear, CDPR are aware of this problem and work on it ;)

Seriously, the patch was released few hours ago.
Wait a little bit, they will release a fix for sure as soon as possible ;)
Really? The patch is arguably more then a year late, but we all know they screwed up.

They know aswell, so a proper response seems warranted here.

Also as far as I can tell my region code and my store region seem to match.

I talk about the game who appear as "corrupted" which is a bug/issue, so it have nothing to do with region code ;)
And the "official" answer about this bug was writted for those who encounter this issue on the support page :

"We are aware of an issue where "Cannot start the application. The data is corrupted. Delete the application from the PS4 and insert the disc again" error message appears after updating the game to 1.5 (1.51) on PS4, and looking into it."

YES, We know! They effed up the initial release in 2020 and everyone said it was a year too early, can we please drop this already and try to at least be a bit more recent?

That's why I mentioned some proper responses to ongoing issues would be nice.. .
 
EDIT: If it is true that the digital version has no issues, save everyone the trouble and give all PS4 owners a FREE digital copy as a replacement.

We need to know, because we're feeling left behind.
What is the situation right now for the PS4 owners?
Is this getting fixed? If so, when?
I'm fine with waiting, but at least give us some information, instead of leaving us in the dark.
I'm even fine with getting the update on a later date, because it was running just fine so far.
An automated response saying "We're aware of the situation" isn't enough.

Exactly what im saying, like not even official cyberpunk game twitter didn't even tweet anything about it and not much people talking about it either bc they mainly focus on other things like next gen or whatever. I just hope my saves isn't really really corrupted cuz i spent so much time on my V's with loot and clothing not to mention missions and story mode like that would be buggin to start all over again.
 
I love this update. The only thing that I would dream of right now is the police chase system and if we would also kill people in places where there's no witnesses, I don't want cops spawning out of no where. I would love to see cops actually coming with vehicles etc.
 
I still remember a few years ago cd projekt was the example to follow. Today they feel so far away from the consumer.

They still say nothing and it's been several days. The loss of prestige they had was impressive.
 
OK, so games are more complicated than they use to be. As a mod maker I know in fact it has almost reached the point that it is above my skills now. However this is exactly why DEV (or maybe its the publisher really) need to give up some control and allow paying customers to roll back versions of their software easily and when ever a customer desires to do that as it was years ago.

The problem is that all DEV now (not just games) feel the software "instance" you purchased is not YOURS when you buy it now. They insists that you are only renting time to use it "as is". And they hate people using old versions.

Remember when WIN 10 was suppose to be the LAST version from MS?

Remember when your very old steam games could not be ninja updated to push in microtransactions and NFT stores that were not designed originally to be in the game years prior on release?

It is not just Deere Tractors that need "Right to Repair" regulations.

In my Engineering office around 80% of all the software we now use will not work without a connection to the DEV server (like our AutoCAD, payroll and data base called Computer Ease for customer jobs). I keep wondering how our business will not go bankrupt if those servers get discontented for 2 months the way SONY gamers lost their games for 4 to 8 weeks (depending on region) and could not use the software they purchased until Sony was able to recover from some malware (was it ransom ware?) they got hilt with.
