Please don't even remind me of a brilliantly thought-through Flanking mechanics. Be it Imperial Marines to drag chosen cards to the top, or spamming Light Cavalry to hit units for up to 8 damage per turn, or Alba Pikemen for status spamming. Such fun! There's the new Flanking deck, too.
As soon as I start to get my hopes up that it really is, I run into clogging double-Kolgriem two or three times in a row.Mill or clog are pretty much dead, if you ask me.
Maybe they'll add something like that in one last card drop at the year's end. It's actually insane we're never going to get more gold soldiers, I always thought this HAS to happen one day.
Very weird meta right now because the game has reached a point where a lot of overpowered decks are around where you'll need precise play (and as always a little bit of luck) to not get crushed. You have to know when to bleed and what your own and your opponent's key cards are. I'd say NG is perfectly playable, and so is SK. Very hard to determine the "best faction", I'd say the better ones right now are ST, NG and SK, NR and MO being relatively match-up dependent because they're quite vulnerable to control. SY seems to be lagging a little bit when compared to the other factions, but some decks can work too.Was thinking about playing this game again but if NG isn't in a good spot maybe I won't bother. Is Skellige still strong?
If you're using Enslave 6 with assimilation cards and new dumb Skellen - congrats, you're a netdecker (at least in my book). And if you use some other Enslave 6 - well, there is no fun playing either with or against a low-unit (basically unitless) decks. I win and lose against them but it's incredibly boring each time. If that's some other Enslave - good for you then.Mate, NG is the only faction that ever benefits from the other factions gaining busted cards. I am 2600 with assimilate this season, yeah I am using the enslave leader but I don't see why you would have an issue with that as it's the most fun one anyways in my opinion.
I believe you didn't bother reading the original post. I'm not complaining that NG is either weak or OP. I say the faction's idea is dead. I actually stopped playing NG (except for quests) when it started accumulating all the posion in the world. And in my opinion, it only went downhill from that.I hear so many people claim NG isn't in a great spot anymore this season, I guess it's because they are used to it just being so ridiculously OP that you actually do not even have to think to perform. And anyways, I think it still is ridiculously OP, especially Torres.
You do understand that sharing decks online makes you the part of the game's ever growing netdeck tumor? Deck Library is one of the worst things ever introduced to Gwent. If you want to use your opponent's cards against them this is both the faction and the time to do it.
Here's my deck if you want to give it a whirl: https://www.playgwent.com/en/decks/613b7d92aaddcbf3094f333d73b9b7fd

Alright, well I was playing similar decks long before the Skellen rework, because they are a lot of fun and I enjoy it. You were asking for assimilate to be viable and I am presenting you a T1 option, you can try other versions as well. If something is holding you back I can guarantee you that it is not assimilate being weak as some of the strongest NG cards fit into that category. If you're using Enslave 6 with assimilation cards and new dumb Skellen - congrats, you're a netdecker (at least in my book). The way I see it NG was always about copying your opponent's cards, giving statuses and messing with their decks, ah and lots of control. Maybe you just have a different idea about what it should be.I say the faction's idea is dead.
Do I look like a guy who needs convincing? Anyways, you can look at the key cards and use them as a pillar for any assimilate deck. My mistake reaching out to someone that wrongfully claims their favourite archetype is dead, I guess. You do understand that sharing decks online makes you the part of the game's ever growing netdeck tumor? You really should be giving your advice in some other thread. Here it makes no sense and brings nothing to the topic.Alright, well I was playing similar decks long before the Skellen rework, because they are a lot of fun and I enjoy it. The 10 cards in the bottom on that deck should cost 1 or 2 more provision cost each. and there are people in this forum saying ng is not over powered and it is not easy to pilot... that's crazy, right? Here's my deck if you want to give it a whirl: https://www.playgwent.com/en/decks/613b7d92aaddcbf3094f333d73b9b7fd

Please tell me you're joking....The 10 cards in the bottom on that deck should cost 1 or 2 more provision cost each. and there are people in this forum saying ng is not over powered and it is not easy to pilot... that's crazy, right?
I mean the marines which are new cards are totally busted and I expect them to be nerfed swiftly with the next patch unless CDPR really dropped the ball, but the rest are just a bunch of garbage tactics that are in there only to compliment the leader, Skellen and Calveit. If you do not Calveit R1 you risk getting 2-0'd because your deck is full of these low prov tactics. The most powerful cards are at the top here, especially R1 Torres. The 10 cards in the bottom on that deck should cost 1 or 2 more provision cost each. and there are people in this forum saying ng is not over powered and it is not easy to pilot... that's crazy, right?
