Did anybody else think that The Witcher 2 could've used more sex?

Oh no, he was going all in on that. Sex is serious business in video games.

I really don't get why people care about sex in games so much.

Good point.

If people want to discuss how much sex they think there should be in the Witcher games, they can. But if the topic is going to be either a discussion about the motives of some poster from well over a year ago, or any form of attack on other posters, then it needs to end.

This thread was split off another thread was was necroed . I feel that everyone should have a say in what their opinions are regarding certain issues . As far as i`m concerned as long as sex has a meaningful impact then it`s ok and not just some random encounter that renders it meaningless and is there solely for the sake of the hormone crowd then no . Also as long as it`s not forced and is left solely up to the player to decide then i`m ok with that as well . Regarding TW 2 I think they did it just about right .

I think TW3 needs more of my favorite kind of magic....lesbomancy.

Sex would only add more fun to the game.
But only for the beautiful ladies frankly.

Why is it fun? I don't understand? I can understand if it adds to the story and the relationship between two characters, but otherwise, what does it add?

Sex is something we should expect in a story about adults, and something we should demand be done well. For most of us, it's an important part of who we are; for characters we read about, see on the screen, or act out, it's not only important to them, it's an important part of how they, and their relationships, and the story are developed.

I think TW2 hit about the right level of sexual content. You could go about one encounter more, or one fewer, but probably not beyond that without putting too much emphasis on sex or downplaying it too much.

What TW2 got right, mostly, is the motivation of sex: for the most part, you can see why Geralt and certain women come together (or don't). What it missed out on, mostly, is the consequences. Sex changes people; it builds and destroys relationships. I don't get the feeling that most of the encounters in the game did that.

I like your thinking, I like to think Geralt to have sex with Saskia, then when he is having sex with other woman, Saskia would get mad.

Pretty cute.

It doesn't make sense to have sex with Saskia because Saskia is into dwarfs. Same with Philippa being into woman, you can't just go to people and ask: "hey, let's sex". Not every character with two legs must be into over century old mutant-monster slayer. Imo in both witcher there are "romances" that clearly doesn't make sense. Sure, sex scenes with triss are done tastefull and generally are ok, but elf girl in iorveth act 2? C'mon! The point is, don't be ashamed of sex CDPR, but put it there when it makes fucking sense.

I believe she still can have a relationship with Geralt,
Saskia ending in TW2 can be a good start of their relationship too.

I believe Geralt is skillful enough to gain The Dragoness affection.

Well, if he really wanted to, and I'm not at all sure of that, maybe he could, but what point would there be in it? That's what I mean; sex has to be well presented and have dramatic purpose. This doesn't.

Not many know Saskia as she really is; Geralt's one of the few. And I don't think his fondness for her kind runs to that maner of expressing it, quite the opposite.

In TW1 Geralt can have sex with Adda and lose his Medallion...the matter is I don't remember is that action has a later concequence.....:confused:/>.

But I think that a character such Geralt sex is a part of his life and, at least, for the twenty last years it has huge connotation to his decision. In TW1 CDPR introduce it to us as a divertissement chase-cards, TW2 they are closer to the original. I hope that in TW3, if any, they will present it to us it as an important element in the development of the personal story of Geralt, in the right measure

No, he does not lose his medallion and it's not something he would forget to put back on
when he dressed up (same as his sword). Point of the scene with Adda was that medallion
was vibrating, and his horny ass failed to see that.
