Notice the hair on the sides, they are non existent almost. For more insight on this, check the trailers and other screens. They also have the same. This makes me sad, kinda.

Its just a haircut />

Its one of the styles from TW2, the "Cintrian Pendulum", you can get from one of the four barbers in the game. So if you like his old style from the first game, or his ponytail from the second, you can use those or another new one :D/>

Here is my Geralt sporting this haircut.

I played both. Finished both a couple of times, your point? I know Geralt had the Pendulum hair cut style through a DLC pack.
Didn't know TW3 would make it that official.

We'll get to change his hair, don't worry.

In TW2, that DLC made it official from version 1.2, for all of the styles.
It's been confirmed that you can change hairstyles in TW3, confirmed that you can remove the beard, and hinted that you can change the style of beard.

I would mostly keep the default, same with both previous games since I believe there is a reason why they made him that way.

The hairstyle looks really look, I changed it in W2 asap I had the chance. Dunno why people complain so much when we had pretty soon I'd say a Barber DLC in W2, or they didn't even had an idea about that...
