Did I lock myself out of the "best" ending?

To me, the witcher ending seems to be the best. The problem is that I visited the empreror with Ciri after I had killed Imerith (and I don't have a save file before that). I have read a bunch of guides and it seems to me that I have locked myself out of the witcher ending. Is that true?

However, I have also read that I can get the witcher ending if I completely ignore reason of state. Again, is that true? And if so, what happens to the world? Does Radovid win? Is that a "bad" ending for the overall world? I kinda want to kill Radovid and I certainly don't want to completely ignore reason of state. So, is there a way to do reason of state and still get the witcher ending or do I completely have to ignore it?

So basically, I'm asking: Has anyone visited the empreror AND got the witcher ending and if so, did you do reason of state or not?

Thanks

If you took her to Vizima and want her to become a witcher you need to either ignore Reason of State(Radovid will live) or do it and side with Dijkstra thus killing Roche and Ves. If Radovid is alive he will win the war but the world is kinda screwed with witch hunters all over the place. If Dijkstra wins it, he rules with an iron fist but the North prospers through industrialization.

So basically I suggest you do Reason of State and side with Dijkstra, thus you'll get the witcher ending.

Thanks for the advice! I'll side with Dijkstra. I kinda like that dude anyway. Shame that Roche and Ves will die but I gotta do what I gotta do.

hahaha i love your attitude OP i need to do. . . . . . what exactly=? i dont know if you have played the first two Witchers Game specialy TW2?It gives you a lore in to politics alot and you have better understanding the Witcher World Politics from KINGS/Lodge Barons perspective.Dont bring the books in, its even more confusing
Standpoint only the games so far
READING guidlines=? For ENDINGS huh playing a GAME like remote controll?

Ok here me out my Advice for you no more Guidlines no more asking for best Endings Advice it dosnt have it its not a Fairy taile here.
now you will be a little confused i get it you want a example?

You missed alot of the Dialogs seems to me you misssed even to read who exactly Dijkstra is?
He is the only one who asking/interfere/Support with Escape of the sorceress/Marge/herbalist/healer ohh nice Pestalozzi attitdude from him rly
consequence of your Decision are : he will have easyer access to all resources in the city have the port sealed no more food Drink aid/help supprt for wounded/sick people he only need to bribe the soldiers in the city you cant bribe sorveress mages they almost all loyal to a cos.

He interfers wih your Love saying your a ASS because you let triss go on the port? dont ring any ALARM bell for youstill??Means he alrdy had plans for triss to take as prisoner/torture/Kill to manipulate Geralt!

and last not but least hes that kind of a person who will Kill any others who have a reason to claim the thrones of the NORTH siblings from King Foltest mostly assasinated the point when hes trying to Kill phillppa at the bath house would have must showed you what kind of person he rly is.

so thats from my Side sry for some grammar/spell no native speaker

and now HF/GL and dont rush make your own Decisions its not what cirilla becomes in the END its what you have left in the WORLD for her.

this is what boggled me for a long time.... first I dont want to deny ciri the visit... since there is this lovely scene where geralt denies the coin =) and ciri is proud...
second I think radovid gotta die ... but on the other hand betraying roche is not an option ... that guy did so much for geralt... he is a friend ... I wouldnt want to betray him ... so yeah ... I either be a dick to ciri or get roche killed .... I dont like that xD ... my third option is letting radovid win .... but the world state is screwed with witch hunters all over the place....
I came to the conclusion that I just cant be a dick to ciri or roche .... so the world gotta suffer for it xD... the dilemma of the ciri witcher ending xD

On my last playthrough, I turned off the speakers, picked Djikstra, and told myself that he wouldn't have been dumb enough to say he was going to kill Roche. Self-delusion is the only option.
