Did I lock myself out of the Official BARGHEST Tac Vest? (Or, Disable Airdrops during Scripted Car Rides)

So, I know the tac vest appears in a scripted airdrop, and there's one airdrop that appears before that.

I accidentally triggered the first airdrop during a scripted car ride and I couldn't just get out to collect it, because the destination was Longshore Stacks and another airdrop activated by then.

Since then, I've been lurking around the drop zone, but either there's no drop at all, or the drop occurs in an area a distance away from where it's supposed to be.

Will I never get my drip I've been waiting for since before 2.3?

You likely mean Reed's car. The workaround is - talk to Reed on the basketball court but don't go to his car immediately, get some other airdrop elsewhere and then go to his car to do the drive. Airdrops have a cooldown (and also sometimes reset that cooldown with a quest changing status/progress within a quest), so you can just do the drive immediately after doing some other airdrop and hope one doesn't happen during your ride (it shouldn't)

However, my question hasn't been fully answered. There's a second airdrop that SHOULD appear at the spot, containing the Official BARGHEST Tac-Vest, but it hasn't appeared so far. Am I locked out of it, or not?
