Did Version 2.31 give everyone bonus Crafting Components?

I recently started playing again after about a year break. So I went from Version 2.21 to 2.31.
But when I had stopped playing a year ago, I was almost out of the level 3 crafting materials. The stuff you use to upgrade weapons and cyberware etc.

But I just noticed, I somehow am flooded with crafting materials....No idea where they came from.

Did they reward players with a high number of playing hours? Gift us free bonus materials?
There's no way I had over 4,000 Tier 5 components a year ago. I specifically remember not fully upgrading my Shingen mark 5.

As far as I'm aware, no they didn't

Hold the phone, I wonder if they added free roam driving due to my suggestion last year? lol jk. I know I'm not the only one who suggested it ^^

It was definitely because of your suggestion. They were even considering calling it "Jackie's Slam-Dunk Traversal Mode", but figured it might be too on-the-nose.
