Did you know that... Cyberpunk was a mobile game before?

And a good Prince of Persia/Flashback clone at that.
Based on the Cyberpunk 2020 timeline and developed by Mayhem.
It has sequences, dialogue, story, exp. system and cool features like secret codes you had to search in the real net.
With the limitations of JAVA of course.

Neat. How was the story?

For a mobile JAVA game and if you love Cyberpunk like me it was pretty nice.

"The main character is a man called Sam Gibson who hardly remembers his past before becoming a hire Solo. In 2022 (during Fourth Corporate War) Arasaka wants him dead. Gibson was framed for murder, and he must find out who is behind it. A woman named Ka, a Netrunner, helps him and communicates with him during the game."

Awesome find, it looks like it'd be a fun game to play! It can be found here on the Internet Archive (and some extras here) but I cannot get it to run. If anyone knows how to run this (or if it cannot) please let us know!

Its perfectly playable for those who own it like me on any Android device using J2ME Loader (free JAVA emulator on the Google Store). There is a windows version of the emulator but it will not have good controls.
It would play great and with comfortable controls on a tablet/big phone.
There were different versions of the game for different phones (different resolutions, buttons, perfomance, etc) and it was also available in different languages. Cannot help with that.

If anyone is interested, Retro2ME - J2ME Emulator on the google play store will run the game. Problem for me is game's all in Russian I think so I can't understand anything that's going on and can't get past the room LOL

You got a russian version XD. My game is on english from my Sony Ericsson. There was also the Spanish version, maybe more.
Although the game is already abandonware on a legacy system I'd rather we didn't link to the game, I don't want to break any forum rules. Legal emulation is fine and dandy.

"DID YOU KNOW THAT... CYBERPUNK WAS A MOBILE GAME BEFORE?"

Nope, didn't know. Simply because none of the Reds ever mentioned them, or I never picked it up. Thanks for showing. You know, think it's a missed opportunity that you can't play any of these on those Arcade cabinets in CP. There's a mod out there with which you can play Tetris on an arcade cabinet in the game. Should be plausible to implement since these're phone games, and therefor no too big.

Of course i know the tabletop game from when i was younger but as video game form, it was first on mobile.

In case someone more hungry for Cyberpunk is going to play it these are gonna get lost in the web like tears in the rain:

WEBSITE SECRETS

There were two secrets hidden in the ‘Cyberpunk: The Arasaka’s Plot’ website. Now extinc and unavailble because it used java.

Secret 1/2 – Underneath the _LEMONQUEST menu option there is a hidden option
titled _SECRET 1/2. Clicking on it yields the message:

“Use ‘CODE 4501’ to enter into the locked area (level 4)”
It gets you access to the "Arasaka Special" weapon.

Secret 2/2 – In the _SCREENSHOTS sub menu click on screenshot 08. Doing this
yields the message:

SECRET 2/2
Use ‘CODE 2100’ to activate the elevator (level 7)”
It gets you access to the "SternMeyer T. 35" weapon.

You need to write CODE before the number in the computers.

CHEATS

Enter the following cheat codes at any terminal to activate them. There are
also some Easter eggs which don’t have any functionality but do display some
messages from the developers.

…………………………………………………………….

GMAK – all keys (Give Me All Keys)
HTFT – hacks terminal (Hack The F**king Terminal)
TMTTNL – next level (Take Me To The Next Level)
GMAW – all weapons (Give Me All Weapons)
GMAI – all implants^ (Give Me All Implants)
MMI – God mode* (Make Me Invincible)
CONRAD – Alternate Costume 1 (Flashback Costume)
GIBSON – Default Costume
MAYHEM – Alt. Costume 2, All Implants, All weapons, Regenerating Armour~
RADAR – Gives you a radar implant to detect nearby enemies

……………………………………………………….

MACHINEL – “MACHINEL SAYS: HACKERS DON’T USE DRUGS”
SKYNET – “I NEED YOUR CLOTHES, YOUR BOOTS AND YOUR MOTORCYCLE.”
ROMPECABRAS – “WHEN MY WORK IS FINISHED I’LL COME BACK FOR YOU.”
STRANDED – “WHAT WE DO IN LIFE, ECHOES IN ETERNITY. MAYHEM PREVAILS!”
URIEL – “OLD GUARD NEVER DIES…”

One of the curiosities of the game is that there is a forest, full of nomads, outside of Night City (where is not specified):
