Different camera options?

I was wondering if there's an option in the game to zoom in/out with the camera? So that we can get the camera real close behind Geralt or actually very far. In some RPG's it's zoomed out too much and for me that kills immersion. Are there any camera options or none at all?

I don't believe there is, only automatic zoom. Unless you count using the witcher senses as zooming in the camera.

Hopefully this can be modded pretty easily.

Though i prefer 3rd person view, I know many like 1st - I wonder if we will see any mods to change the camera to first person.

There are different camera options (i remember some twitter from oine of the dev). Check the sticky faq about questions, is there.

This gamer would be a huge pain from 1st person POW. Just think of all the rolls and pirouettes that Geralt does while fighting, just for starters.

I don't think there are. One of the devs said on Twitter that there would be but then backtracked on that. There are automatic modes (i.e. the camera position changes based on what you are doing) but I don't think there is an option to set the camera to a particular point.
