Dilemma: Downgrade graphics or reduce resolution ?

Hi friends, Big dilemma ahead.

I'm playing with a GTX 970 in 1080p, and plan to play TW3 in ultra (including Hairworks).
But I read I would get like 40-45 fps.

Question: Should I downscale my game down to 900p or even less, or remove some minor yet fps-consuming graphics settings ?

I want to get the best experience out of this soon-to-be masterpiece.

Hmm how about try both options and stick with the one you like. Personaly i prefer keeping the resolution.

Personally I would lock the fps to 30 at 1080p with a GTX 970 if you want Hairworks. From the benchmarks it looks like the 970 will struggle to keep 30 fps when there's a lot of fur / hair on screen.
