Director's Cut Patch included in 1.5 patch?

Director's Cut Patch included in 1.5 patch?

I was just wondering if the Director's Cut Patch is now included in the 1.5 patch for The Witcher. I'm simply curious as the 1.4 patch was slightly moded to update without registration so I thought the 1.5 patch might have been as well. That and there seems to be no mention of the Director's Cut Patch anywhere on the site anymore.

I was under the impression that the "Director's Cut" patch was just for the US version to uncensor the in-game sex cards which had been censored in the original release. If your game was never censored then I don't think you need the Director's Cut patch

That is exactly what the Director's Cut Patch was for. Sadly that also applys to Canadian versions of the game. Not a big deal but I recently picked up the Enhanced Edition of The Witcher to play through before I jump into the second one. Since the 1.4 patch is included in the Enhanced Edition I just need to pick up the 1.5 patch for the game. But that does not seem to include the uncensored cards and such. I can live. Thanks for the replies.

Well not that its huge, but the Director's Cut Patch is not included in the 1.5 patch available on the CD Red site. I don't see why they won't just roll the 1.5 and Directot's Cut patches together but oh well. Still love the game.

Actually, I have to disagree with InternetOwl. It is a big deal. I'm tired of buying games from companies that have not the interest nor the sense to be clear about what patches are available or needed, and don't provide a working link to download them.

And what's even worse, is that I've contacted CD Red four times now over the last year and a half, and have never received any reply. Thanks for the customer appreciation!

Now I'll ask again here in this old ass post.....Where is the Director's Cut patch? Why isn't it included in 1.4 or 1.5? And does 1.4 now include all past "hotfixes"? On this site I see only 3 downloads for The Witcher--1.4, 1.5 and the language pack...

Thanks for replying, that's more than anyone else ever did the times I tried email support. But I'm already aware that I can search through gaming sites and find the Director's Cut patch, the problem is that I don't even know if it's going to be compatible with the newest version of patch 1.4 and 1.5 and I don't really know in what sequence to install everything. I suppose I'll just install 1.4 and 1.5 and then install the Director's Cut on top of that and see if it works. It's been a while since I've messed with all this, I just remember it was a pain

You got the order right 1.4 , 1.5 and the directors cut . Alternatively you can download a digital backup copy at no cost from GOG with all patches including the director`s cut already included . http://www.gog.com/witcher/backup

Installing the 1.5 patch, then directors cut patch will roll the game version back to 1.4. look in the top left when launching the game. the directors cut patch only updates the cs_sex .bik movies and the localized00.bif. i`m pretty sure. i tried to install the 1.5 patch after the directors patch and my game was censored again.
