"Dirty Funds" Quest Glitch (PS4)
Hi guys,
I'm experiencing what seems to be a glitch in the first step of "Dirty Funds" treasure hunting quest. To trigger the quest, you would find a letter in a camp chest, east of White Orchard. Its content would pinpoint the location of another nearby bandit camp where the actual treasure is located. To loot it, you would have to first beat the army deserter mentioned in the letter...
Except I beat this guy and claimed the treasure way before obtaining the initial letter clue. In short, I completed the quest without triggering it and reading the letter now has no effect on the quest status, which is now it's stuck at the "Read the letter you found" step.
Has anybody experienced this? Any solution?
Thanks!
Edit: The problem has been confirmed from many different users both on PS4 and Xbox One now.
I believe this kind of issue will concern a couple more quests as well as it's always difficult to find a balance between exploration and quest scripting.
A fix would be to trigger quest resolution as long as you loot the final item or have the final item in your possession (A chest in a bandit camp in that case) or the ability, to some extent, to soft reset a quest.
