Hi

there is an option to disable bosses health bars, it would be great if we can disable health bars from normal enemies too

thanks for reading

Yup, was surprised about that missing from the HUD/interface options, too.
Especially since you definitely could deactive both boss and normal enemy health bars in The Witcher 3.

Hope CDPR makes that option available in Cyberpunk 2077 as well.

I also agree! I'd like to have the option available, I feel like it'd be more immersive if I ever do a low-cyberware run.

The bosses health bars option is referred to as "npc_healthbar" in the config files, curiously enough.
Meaning that during development there was no distinction made between bosses' and regular NPCs' health bars and the toggle originally just flat-out disabled all health bars?
Who knows - at least that kind of proves that it should still be possible to offer both options - bosses and NPCs - for enabling/disabling the corresponding health bars.
And yes, Witcher 3 had both available too, so there are no excuses to not have them in Cyberpunk as well.

Uhm, yes please.
Another one of those "Why the hell wasn't this implemented in the first place?"....

I cant think of a plausible reason for the "designchange* shortly before relaese, and i believed this statement

I'm just glad they let you get rid of damage number popping up. Health bars are okay... you can square that with your cyberwear... but I've hated damage numbers in combat since Borderlands.

sorry hey i can't square it with cyberware or anything. they SHOULD BE ABLE TO BE HIDDEN. why is this a thing?! how could they possibly justify enforcing those lines above enemies heads?
they're a cheat, they look awful. I've had so many cool fights lately that i would of loved to have recorded - but the healthbars? PLUS the glowing outlines and icons on enemy bodies and other containers telling me to loot them? ugh. it really takes away from the otherwise awesome visual and action packed experience..

OR the ''yellow doritos" above Enemies Heads, too? Anyone else getting sick of them...?! they can't be disabled either.
Plus the awful cheaty red-eye-icon when an enemy has spotted you...!
Those yellow doritos above enemy gang members when you see them and they haven't spotted you - they also kind of ruin any need to use the Scanner, or look out for gang characteristics or insignia, if you're looking to spot (or shoot) gang members within crowds of civilians, or discern the victim in a assault scenario...

OR Those awful XP/new item/entering new area notifications? They're all coupled with annoying sound effects, of which there is no individual slider for, either, another bit of salt in the wound, just liek the AWFUL combat music :'( which you cannot turn off without disabling the ingame radio, sigh, sigh, sigh.

why should modders have to use wacky database extraction programs and dig through files to fix what would probably take one of the team half an afternoon to fix, to remedy this problem? ProjektRed even fallout 4 didn't need this much modding to remove hud and meta sound effects.
And then fight modders, they gotta fight against patches, remodding every bloody micro-patch, patches which are just putting salt on the wound by ignoring something the community wants and would (you'd think) be relatively quick and easy to implement...
