Disappointment from an early fan

I'm an early fan of the Witcher games, having played both several times. But I'm really disappointed by the EE. Why ?
Because playing the two new quests of the ACT 3 seems to request a new game (in fact almost two new games in order to play Iorveth and Vernon paths). And because CDRed is not able to answer this simple question : if I take a savegame from ACT 2, does it work ? I can't understand why it is so difficult to answer... Of course, I prefer not to talk the bug of the corrupted file.

Of course, some will answer these contents are free, bla bla bla. But as a fan, I'm ready to pay for real new extra contents. In this case, it creates more frustration than pleasure.

Uhh they said (somewhere) that the 3rd act isn't compatible with the old saves due to the massive changes, so they recommend starting a new game.
As for act 2, dunno there could be problems with it too but you are free to try.

It is recommended to start a new game, meaning that bug reports made for games with old saves are probably disregarded and you're not entitled to complain about them :p
This is nothing new in the world of PC gaming when a new version of a game comes out.

Well, no one is forcing you to play the game and I'm sure people can make saved games available to you if you would like to skip directly to the new stuff.
If you're a bit tired of the game and don't feel like going through it, you can always put it on the shelf and come back to it later, when you actually feel like it.

I foresee lots of TW2 playthrough once TW3 is announced.

"OMG you don't know that there'll be a Witcher 3!!!!!111"
True, but unless CPR only employ pants-on-head retarded chimps (with evidence suggesting otherwise), it's coming. They've already revealed.. 5? games for the next 3 years, so they clearly have a plan. I would be utterly shocked to the very core of my mortal being if The Witcher 3 was not amoung them.

If you're willing to pay for "extra contents," simply pay someone for two pre-ACT 3 saves. I'm sure you'll find plenty of willing participants.

Additionally, you could watch all of the new/redesigned cutscenes on Youtube. No doubt they'd take your money too.

It was said that too many changes have been made to EE and the save states from old version might no work, I really see no issue with that.
miraceti your just complaining because you can

miraceti - the answer's been given. A savegame from Chapter 3 will definitely not work. With an earlier savegame, you may be lucky but it's high-risk and not recommended. I think you would be best to take that as a "No, you can't".

And I'm sure that in a few days time there'll be someone kind enough to make an EE end of chapter 2 savegame available, for free, to anyone who wants it.

On this forum, it seems very difficult to make critical comments on CDRed without having outraged replies from "jihadists" fans. Sorry but this EE is not made for early followers of the Witcher. An EE Full of bugs for PC users, without clear explanations from CDRed, a CDRed which is even unable to confirm if a savegame from Act 2 works... I hope you are kidding but that is not so professional.

Thus yes, I shall be the first one to buy the future game from CDRED. No this time, CD is not exempt from criticism.

I haven't played the EE yet but I am hearing quite a few people had crashes and other bugs in the game. I'll just wait for a patch

Almost finished the prologue of EE, the game works smoother than before, I get better framerates and the combat feels less unresponsive too.

The only bug I got is a funny one during medidation. When you choose to drink potions, Geralt has nothing in his hand, puts the empty hand to his mouth, throws away an invisible bottle and after that when he puts his hand back on his lap the bottle magically appears in his hand. So it's kinda the other way round :)

But apart from that - everything works like a charm so far.

Bug with the installation ; bug with cinematics (example : the release of Triss by the sorceress at the end of the ACT 2 = I only see the characters on a blue background, no more landscape) ; game freezes ; slowed areas changes). Sorry but for me, that's enough to say that EE is not perfect.

CDREd is not a philantropic firm. They want you money as Youtube want. So stop being a brainless fan unpleasant to others. CDRed don't need you to defend its own interests. I'm sure they didn't open this forum for having only congratulations.

They've said that starting a new game is better than continuing because of unwanted issues. Is that hard to understand?

Paying for content does not equal minimal bugs. What's your problem with free content? Damn when things are free, people want to pay for them instead?

miraceti my honest advice is not to play game any more, your clearly not enjoying it and getting yourself worked about things isn't good for your health either. I would say find another game to play and enjoy yourself.
And hopefully CDPR will take in your feedback and might do something about the issues that your brought forward.

Please keep your advice for yourself. I have the right to post my feelings without any ayattolah just told me what I should do. As I said, I'm a fan of the Witcher, I played thsi game 3 times. Now, the necessity to play again the two paths to see the new quests seems to me not so "fan friendly". Maybe was there another mean to give extra contents for early followers (see the Witcher 1). "Is that hard to understand", to plagiarize another zealot?

miraceti, people who disagree with you are not brainless, zealots, ayatollahs, or jihadists, and it really isn't appropriate for you to refer to them as such. You are being allowed to post your opinion, people are trying to answer your concerns, and you are insulting both them and a major world religion by exaggerating your language in your replies.

I haven't run into your blue screen problem myself, but have you had a look in the TW2: Tech Support part of the forums? There might be a few other people who've found the same thing. I've only caught a little screen tearing here and there, which is not too bad considering that I'm using a low-spec rig.

I can see how a restart might be disappointing, but I don't personally mind starting again. I understand the tech concerns, and I'm interested in how the whole update works as a package anyway, so starting over is good for me.

You're right when you emphasize my words (probably inappropriate), but I don't like people who advise you to stop playing. That seems to me also a bit improper. Especially since I added multiple times to be a fan of the Witcher. If this forum is only made to celebrate CDRed (or any firms in other forums) without any criticism, OK. But that's not my conception of a forum. I'm not part of their family, they are not friend of mine. I like their games but I'm a client that bought a product (not cheap). I feel the right to give an negative opinion.
And if CDRed or moderators feel that I exceed my rights, they can ban me. I will not blame them. But coming from other players, I don't accept condescending advices.

Sorry man but you are making a big deal over something that shouldn't be. The extra content is not designed to be user friendly simply because a role playing game lets you choose your own path in the game. If you don't want to play the game for the millionth time to see some extra content on another path, that's your problem. If you read your post to me, then you would realize why there are certain wrong things in your post. Yes, you're a witcher fan (like many of us), but when I look at your post all I see is a whining individual.
