@Scryar, yes the 2nd difficulty is barely challenging because that is the difficulty of "Story And Sword".
1st difficulty is "Just The Story!"
If one wants to be challanged you need to go with the 3rd difficulty which is "Blood And Broken Bones!"
While the 4th which is the highest difficulty is "Death March!"

(My guess!) With one of the free DLC you will get the ultimate difficulty with perma-death.

PS: AngryJoe did no justice to The Witcher 3 with his one video of screaming teens and nonsense talk.
In my opinion.

I'm not interested in playing with perma-death, I just want to be challenged, which means having problems to defeat enemies on my level.
And the second of four difficulties being barely challenging is a rather bad sign. From my understanding that's what the first difficulty is for.
Is there maybe any review which describes the highest difficulty?

This one is really worth it, discussed a lot without spoilers. Save slots, the impact of imported save games, difficulty, combat, the cities etc.

Maybe I'm just too old or maybe my phone doesn't give me all the options there are, but I don't get that twitch-stuff. Is that just "live-broadcasting"? If so, I don't get what all the links are about either. If you don't stumble upon them within 20 minutes or how long the stream may be, the link turns from "awesome" to "utterly worthless". Is there a summary of some sort? Anything?

Twitch also records the streams for few days, so that you can go and watch it after the fact. This is that kind of link, a recording of a stream that's already happened.

The graphics look wonderful. But I would just listen and avoid watching the video itself. Lots of new footage for those that still want to be surprised.

One of the biggest french gaming website has done a preview of Witcher 3 ( it's not the full review, they played "only" 45 hours )

http://www.jeuxvideo.com/videos/reportages/425414/the-witcher-3-notre-avis-apres-45-heures-de-jeu.htm

The reviewer really loves the story, main quest and secondary quests, the gameplay, the art, the world, the characters, the dialogues etc ...

About the graphics, he says that it's not as good as what has been shown a few month ago, but it's still one of the most beautiful open-world ... On console.
He says that he is waiting to try all the versions of the game, especially the PC version before giving a definitive opinion on the graphics.

Basically, he looks extremely happy with the game and keep talking about how everything is amazing during almost all the video.

Sorry for the bad english, I'm tired .

Congrats to CD Projekt Red, it looks like the reviewers really enjoy your game.

Sorry no summary I'm afraid. He basically answered user questions for a whole hour, not glossing over stuff like the usual Q&A, also without spoilers.

E.g 2 autosave slots, 10 manual save slots. Imported saved games can influence quests.

4Players (german review): 90% platin award

4Players DA:I 59%

As written above: awards (especially platin) given by 4players are as rarely as unicorns :D

Thank you very much, @Lightice and @Sken, for the explanation and short summary. Not even a week left and this scouring for every morsel of info is finally at an end! (Even though I'm sure I'll miss it when everything is said and done ;))

The same guy also reviewed the previous games:
Witcher 1: 85%
Witcher 2 : 84%

90% is huge coming from this site, as they are the most critical gaming site here in germany. Like janeo_ wrote, the same reviewer gave Dragon Age Inqusition 59%

agreed. this is quite interresting. And the fact that they thought DA:I was average at best, like i did, says a lot to me. definitly gonna check out his review. thanks @janeo_ for sharing :D

edit: so i had a quick check of the review, particularly the pros and cons of the games, so i decided the most important cons in my opinion (you can check out the rest your self using google translate):
- partly stupid human AI in battle
- simplified dialogs and forced scenes
- no reaction to theft

highly recommend checking out the review even if you're not very good at german ^^

They are waiting for the Day One patch to do justice to the final product, so it's still going to be a while.

The reviews are great, But you made it worse now. Now I have to wait 6 day's before I have this in my hands.

Thanks for making the wait even more unbearable

@Scryar
Same here, I dont want to play with permadeath, it is not so interesting to me, but I want challenge and hard combat throught all game, even if I completed all quests and even if I reached level cap of 60, then I want that strongest bosses are level 60-70, I would like a diffictulity setting like that.

Permadeath is completely irrelevant if it is true that game becomes very easy later, who can kill you then?

According to several reviews there will be 5 questions asked by the barber regarding our Witcher 2 choices. Does anybody know which decisions will matter?
I just know one of the questions
if we killed Aryan

I am so glad to hear that. I was wondering if it would ever matter.

4Players says it:

rough translation of the important bits:

How many fetch quests are there? Surprisingly few. The witcher doesn't have to tediously collect 1/10 herbs.... everything is connected to a narrative.

Rejoice, folks!
