Novigrad looked even bigger than I imagined on the IGN stream, can't wait...

These aren't "requires a 980 to max" level graphics. I can name numerous other games in the past few years that blow it out of the water and don't even need a 980 to max.

Name a single game as big as this one and as beautiful at the same time, please.^^

Looks significantly better than on consoles :). Imo they achieved SOD trailer in graphic department.

i thought so as well. they're pretty close, but i think the game will be mindblowing on release, mark my words. speaking of visuals, when they were using the boats and it was cloudy, reminded me a lot of the reveal gameplay trailer, which is a big win for me.
the AI of monsters seems to be somewhat limited, which worries me a bit (just like some reviewers have indicated). it seems rather basic and can't read your movements.

Those leaves just flying around Geralt when he's in the woods. Wow.

Also, let's stay on topic.

The game looks really good on the IGN stream, the only thing that annoys the crap out of me is the huge pop in on some random things like the sails on the huge ships and parts of buildings etc. Vegetation is a bit ''meh' at times but it's a minor issue.

The game will have huge pop in no matter what. It's unfortunate that the one thing that kills immersion seems to be around so much. W2 had it which was unacceptable for a not open world game. I can tolerate some nornal pop in in an open world game, but on PC and ultra settings and still shadows appears on objects a meter away? That is,again, unecceptable. Especially for a game who thrives on atmosphere.

@Scryar, yes the 2nd difficulty is barely challenging because that is the difficulty of "Story And Sword".
1st difficulty is "Just The Story!"
If one wants to be challanged you need to go with the 3rd difficulty which is "Blood And Broken Bones!"
While the 4th which is the highest difficulty is "Death March!"

(My guess!) With one of the free DLC you will get the ultimate difficulty with perma-death.

PS: AngryJoe did no justice to The Witcher 3 with his one video of screaming teens and nonsense talk.
In my opinion.

I was planing to play on Blood And Broken Bones but the Gamespot reviewer said that it's better to choose a difficulty setting higher than the one you were originally gonna play in. So i should choose Death March?

Havent been keeping up to date really, can anyone say why the reviews for the PC are embargoed? (until release according to PCGamer!) hoping its not something affecting the version itself.

You can set the difficulty up and down while playing. Choose what you feel suits you.

Seeing as though you can always change it, I'd suggest yes, start on Death March. After waiting 3 years, you may as well experience everything the game has to throw at you :)

LOOL They claim Triss and Yennefer looked like hookers? Um hello, has anyone ever met Morrigan from DA that even had a achievement named "witch gone wild"? or dem side boobs from Aela's in Skyrim? Sure hope they treated those game characters in the same light:halt:
Yeah, it's even weirder when you think about it in reference to Skyrim and Dragon Age. I mean, 'pirate hooker' could be used to describe Isabella from Dragon Age 2. There's nothing wrong with that, mind you. Just strange to say that Triss and Yennefer look like pirate hookers...when they don't look like hookers at all. It's really weird, because I can't use any logic to understand how he'd reach that conclusion.

Something else I've noticed has been how a number of people have remarked on how all these sorceresses look like models. Now, I'm not saying that they need to read the novels. But, that seems like an observation that someone who has read the novels would instantly have an answer for.

But, it's always interesting to see how a piece of fiction you enjoy and know very well can be interpreted by the initiated.

Why the **** are we having this conversation. How ubsurd have things become really? "They're pixels"

I can't take gamergate or feminists seriously anymore.

" Oh! Won't someone think of the Pixels! Take GTA V off the shelves! The pixels of NPCs are being harmed!"

"The pixels are being exploited!"

Jesus if anyone thinks like this, like honestly thinks like this GTFO this planet - - - - - >

On that note, if you see any review sites going down the path of this

"Won't someone think of the pixels" rhetoric call them stupid, move along & give them a darwin award for participation in life.

I'll break it down for you.

In essence Gamergate & feminists & review sites that mix the two (you know who you are)

Are essentially doing this.

"Won't someone think of the 10101's!"

"101101 is being exploited!"

GTFO. If you're a review site pulling this crap in Witcher 3 reviews idiots.

Talking about the **** they're trying to pull with "Ciri this & Ciri that violation of rights mixed in reviews"

It's make believe, stop taking acid.

I made a meme about review from one of the polish sites, gry-online.pl. They rate The Witcher 3 at 8,5/10, main reason of -1.5 were some bugs which is kinda funny, since their review note for AC:U was 9/10, DA:I - 9,5/10 and Skyrim 10/10. Here is meme:

http://imgur.com/YBOBrCq

these two guys are reviewers ;p

PS: I put it in wrrong thread before, sorry :)

So they rate W3 8.5 because of bugs, but that unplayable bugfest called Skyrim is 10...:rofl:

The single thing that stood out to me was the pop-in of the Lateen sails on the royal barge. As they are so prominent, they really need a LOD culling depth similar to the nearby buildings or hull of the vessel, rather than the details on the ship...

Noticed it in several streams, and videos from the reviews and official publicity... Hopefully it attracted enough attention to be flagged and fixed during the first few patch cycles. There will probably be a few other elements like that which stand out too, but so far not seen any.
