I don't want to read it but tell me one thing is it a good ending to the series?I was already expecting that kind of ending lol. But that spoiler hurted a lot![]()
I have the very bad ability to discover the ending of a movie right on it's beggining or middle. That statement just confirmed what I was thinking, oh gosh
I'm doing all the sorts of outcomes on the head right now...
As far as the statemant goes and the last two games endings, it will depend on your perspective. It will be a gray ending, but more satisfying than the last games I thinkI don't want to read it but tell me one thing is it a good ending to the series?
Do you refer to misho8723's post?I read that, but i didn't understand anything, because i haven't read the books. But why are you saying"the ending"?Aren't there 3 different endings? As far as the statemant goes and the last two games endings, it will depend on your perspective. OK.... and with endings talk starting, it's high time to go dark. x_xI don't want to read it but tell me one thing is it a good ending to the series?
Yes, but Kevin VanOrd is a known Witcher fanb*y so there's that. He also gave Pillars of Eternity only an 8/10 which damaged his credibility in the genre quite a bit.I heard on an ign podcast that their reviewer Vince Ingenito gave TW3 the highest score he's ever given anything. Gives a bit of context for anyone who thought it was low. I also think it's interesting that Gamespot has given very few 10's.
Considering I liked those it sounds great. Thx.As far as the statemant goes and the last two games endings, it will depend on your perspective. It will be a gray ending, but more satisfying than the last games I think
As great as PoE was and as much as I loved it, there were some very obvious and glaring flaws in the game at launch. I wouldn't have given it more than 8.5 tbh.Yes, but Kevin VanOrd is a known Witcher fanb*y so there's that. Well, this thread isn't about Pillars so let's just agree to disagree here.As great as PoE was and as much as I loved it, there were some very obvious and glaring flaws in the game at launch. I wouldn't have given it more than 8.5 tbh.
Well done; I don't think it goes far enough in making one point that is very important to me: The Witcher's world is racist and misogynistic exactly because it is not a world the authors invite you to acquiesce in. It is a world where injustices of all kinds are laid out for what they are and invites you to rise above them.Well, this thread isn't about Pillars so let's just agree to disagree here.
On another note, great critical response of Adrian Chmielarz (developer of "The Vanishing of Ethan Carter", "Painkiller" and "Bulletstorm") to the Polygon review of TW3: https://medium.com/@adrianchm/the-boy-who-cried-white-wolf-on-polygon-s-the-witcher-3-review-f7ac8d7f0a5
Totally worth reading imho.
Exactly, arguably the main theme of the entire series is moral ambiguity, as it touches upon problems of of real world using its fantasy setting (like racism towards non-humans, bad treatment of women, etc.). When I see a professional reviewer criticizing those aspects, the only thing that comes to my mind is that he/she isn't familiar with the source material, doesn't understand that difficult and ambigous themes are put there for a reason and completely misses the point of the series.Well done; I don't think it goes far enough in making one point that is very important to me: The Witcher's world is racist and misogynistic exactly because it is not a world the authors invite you to acquiesce in. I mean the endings in general. There will be three, but following The Witchers patterns, they will be probably bitter and sweet (gray) at the same timeDo you refer to misho8723's post?I read that, but i didn't understand anything, because i haven't read the books. But why are you saying"the ending"?Aren't there 3 different endings?
Lol. Vavra is the man. I hope he plays the game and gives his impressions.
