He's sponsored by GOG if I'm not mistaken. Not gonna happen, sorry. Stick with his tweeter, that's the best chance to get a word from him on this subject. He talked about inquisition in a past video. I don't see why he can't do the same for TW3.
Oh, I forgot about that. Good point. He's sponsored by GOG if I'm not mistaken. Not gonna happen, sorry. Stick with his tweeter, that's the best chance to get a word from him on this subject.
exactly, and that is what i love about the witcher universe. it kinda reflects the problems that we've been suffering from for generations and are still present even to date !Well done; I don't think it goes far enough in making one point that is very important to me: The Witcher's world is racist and misogynistic exactly because it is not a world the authors invite you to acquiesce in. It is a world where injustices of all kinds are laid out for what they are and invites you to rise above them.
/sighAdrian Chmielarz said:The Witcher formula, both for books and games, is that it’s the Slavic mythology mixed with generic fantasy (e.g. elves and dwarfs)
What exactly is wrong with that statement?/sigh
Nobodies perfect eh Adrian. Thanks for the Polygon critique, but broaden your horizons mate.
Ahem, actually he's pretty spot on here./sigh

Declaring everything bar the Slavic as "Generic" belittles the sources, and the effort I believe the REDs put into their creativity. What exactly is wrong with that statement?.

Fun fact: the nickname of the reviewer is Deriv, the french for "Of Rivia"
That's just mis-/overinterpretation on your behalf if you ask me There is no doubt that "generic fantasy" aka "Tolkien fantasy" is apparent in the Witcher world. He brought up the best examples: elves and dwarves.Declaring everything bar the Slavic as "Generic" belittles the sources, and the effort I believe the REDs put into their creativity.
Generic is hardly the word that springs to mind regarding where we're at.
What @MadGeralt said. Adrian's goal wasn't to write an essay on the Witcher lore. If you demand from him to include in this brief description of setting every single folklore and mythology Sapkowski referenced in his books... well you clearly missed the point of his article.Declaring everything bar the Slavic as "Generic" belittles the sources, and the effort I believe the REDs put into their creativity.

True. But I am talking generally, all the versions. The bugs were far worse on the PC, yet it still has bigger score than the PS3 version.skyrim has the same metacritic score 92 but for ps3 one reviewer gave skyrim ps3 version a 7 and said he cannot recommand it to play on the ps3 becuase of bugs, glitches etc
PS3 versions had some serious memory problems in addition to bugs that made it unplayable for many.True. But I am talking generally, all the versions. The bugs were far worse on the PC, yet it still has bigger score than the PS3 version.
The memory problems where on the PC as well. The game couldn't even recognize your full set of ram until a mod -yes a mod- was released. PC version was a mess like no other.PS3 versions had some serious memory problems in addition to bugs that made it unplayable for many.
What demand ?What @MadGeralt said. Adrian's goal wasn't to write an essay on the Witcher lore. If you demand from him to include in this brief description of setting every single folklore and mythology Sapkowski referenced in his books... well you clearly missed the point of his article.
