In all the recent screens that show the sky, the clouds always seem so flat. Where did the semi-volumetric clouds go? Have they been cut down?

They are present in Kaer Morhen as seen here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYwe_WHARdc#t=00m57s

and here

They might appear in other areas too, have to wait until the game is released to find out.

Nice.

And Geralt is wearing ridiculous armor. Again. :D

While it doesn't quite fit with Geralt, they look like normal medieval clothing to me, far from ridiculous anyhow. Contrary to the popular belief that everything was gray and muddy, clothes were really colorful in medieval ages.

I think this kind of armor fits better to Geralt.

Yes, normal clothing...But Geralt would never wear something like this...Well, unless Yen give him an order to wear it :D

I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone who disagrees.

However as long as those more typical Witcher sets still exist, nothing wrong with a bit of healthy variety.

Exactly. Some normal clothing/armor in there for variety is good. We're getting our Witcher sets, don't worry. :)

He wears normal clothing many times in the books. Calanthe's dinner being the obvious example.

That's a Gambeson. Quilted armour.
The trews are just 'normal' though.

I like this demonstration of fencing practice, because of the clothing...

It's not even that ridiculous, it's just... ugly. The Bavarian armor looked a little silly on Geralt, but at least it was fucking ballin'.

And Thanedd...But he was not happy about it... :D

But yeah, variety is good - as long as I can find simple black leather jacket for my Geralt...

Indeed. Ironically, the quest on the screen does say "In wolf's clothing". :teeth:

Didn't Geralt wear a kaftan in the books? I remember him complaining that his new one got torn up on the sleeves when he tried fighting while wearing it. At least in my translation (non-English) his clothing was called this way. Not sure about the Polish or English version, but if the translation is correct and he is indeed wearing a kaftan - well if he wears that, I can imagine him in that colourful medieval tunic :D (not that I am a fan of it)

For those who do not know what a kaftan is, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaftan

Uhm...in the italian translation (which is based on the polish version) he wears a black doublet.

in hungarian it was called coat/jacket (so a normal modern word). (if we are talking about the short story with dudu.) I believe they even said it was leather, but I'm not sure.

Yeah, black leather jacket (or doublet, IIRC)

Hm would be best to wait for someone who has read the Polish version to say for sure. The Bulgarian version I read is also based on the Polish and since it is also a Slavic language most things are the same (names, for example, have the same meaning as the Polish ones).
I could be wrong though, I read it some time ago and it may have slipped my mind
