In all the recent screens that show the sky, the clouds always seem so flat. Where did the semi-volumetric clouds go? Have they been cut down?

While it doesn't quite fit with Geralt, they look like normal medieval clothing to me, far from ridiculous anyhow. Contrary to the popular belief that everything was gray and muddy, clothes were really colorful in medieval ages.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone who disagrees.

However as long as those more typical Witcher sets still exist, nothing wrong with a bit of healthy variety.

Exactly. Some normal clothing/armor in there for variety is good. We're getting our Witcher sets, don't worry.

It's not even that ridiculous, it's just... ugly. The Bavarian armor looked a little silly on Geralt, but at least it was fucking ballin'.

Didn't Geralt wear a kaftan in the books? I remember him complaining that his new one got torn up on the sleeves when he tried fighting while wearing it. At least in my translation (non-English) his clothing was called this way. Not sure about the Polish or English version, but if the translation is correct and he is indeed wearing a kaftan - well if he wears that, I can imagine him in that colourful medieval tunic (not that I am a fan of it)

in hungarian it was called coat/jacket (so a normal modern word). (if we are talking about the short story with dudu.) I believe they even said it was leather, but I'm not sure.

Hm would be best to wait for someone who has read the Polish version to say for sure. The Bulgarian version I read is also based on the Polish and since it is also a Slavic language most things are the same (names, for example, have the same meaning as the Polish ones).
I could be wrong though, I read it some time ago and it may have slipped my mind
