Disk not being read (I think)

I got TW2 through the post a few hours ago and I put game disk 1 straight into my PC but Auto-play does not pop up and i cant hear the disk even spinning, The game does show up in my computer but I cant run it. If I try to do something with the game like make Auto-run come up and try to run the game it keeps showing the loading mouse then windows explorer does not respond and I have to keep restarting windows explorer.
Thanks for the help in advance

It works fine because I have installed dragon age origins and and call of duty world at war and they worked fine.

Try copying the content of DVD disks to your hard drive and run install the game from there. If you won't be able to copy it to HDD, please contact our technical support.

It doesn't matter, desktop will do, then run setup from there.

If that doesn't work, try another drive if you have one, and if you don't or if that fails, contact support.

I think your optical driver is kinda old.

It has nothing to do with the age of the "optical driver".

There is an issue with the game DVD, where some drives have a problem reading the data.

Crysis Maximum Edition had a similar problem.
