Divinity: Original Sin

+
This, Wasteland 2 and others like them have so far proven that good games are not made in silence, guided by corporate goals. Involve the gamers, listen to their feedback, iterate, and take enough time to polish your game. This is how classics are made.

So far, everything about Divinity looks awesome. Interactivity in Ultima style, c&c, art style and music, turn-based combat, etc. Definitely looking forward to play it.

Some.

From their FAQ:

"Will this have full voice over?
We cannot do full voice with the budget we have. At the moment, we only plan to do "important characters" with unique lines.
Also, NPCs can draw lines from a database with information and lore, and we don't want NPCs sharing the same voice, or NPCs that change their voice in the middle of a dialogue."

Thanks :)... great, with so many dialogs in this game, i'm grateful that there is going to be some VO at all

I just keep making different combos to try out. Haven't made it further than the start area more than once.

Currently me and my friend are playing Ranger(me) and a Witch(Him) so far we both have some OP skills, besides the occasional game braking bug everything is awesome. Also to anyone that is playing the game don't kill Englander(the old elf guy who asks you to kill Victoria the orc) because the game bugs after you kill him and you can't talk to your companions even after save/load.

Btw for anyone that is playing expect a huge update this thursday or friday, that is going to fix a vast amount of the reported bugs in the beta sadly no new areas will be opened.

Linux version confirmed, it will be released "sometime" after Windows and OS X versions though:

First of all, we’ll continue to bugfix and update Early Access alongside finalizing the full release. Furthermore, you can expect a Mac version on Steam Early Access and a version of the game for Linux some time after its full release on PC/Mac.

For some reason they still call Windows version a PC one, even in the face of them making a Linux release. Weird.

CE I'd buy if I was attached to the world. I did for Fallout 3. Have I shown you kids my cool FO3 swag? It's great.

I don't have to wait for any OS release - I'm OS-open. I'll try anything!

Didn't think I could possibly look forward to Original Sin any more, but that track definitely bumped the anticipation up a notch.

The things that Kirill's fingers can do with the piano... Mmmmmmmmmmm...

Divinity has always had unique and beautiful music. They have a special catch in Kirill.

edit - after listening to this theme a few times, I think it might be the most moving piece of video game music I've heard. Amazing.
