DLC Ideas

+
While cool, isn't that a bit like saying, "I'd love to play a game from the perspective of a stormtrooper"?

I've had a think and I'd say he just ment Cappo. It would do nothing to raise peoples respect from outside corporations to see such a man up close. Inner sub-corporations would adore the idea that these people are related for a bit of stabillity.

Free dlcs that I would like:

* Car customization
* Character customization in stores
* More open doors
* Apartment customization and purchase of new apartments
* New weapon packs
* New car packs
* New missions in Night city
* New areas of the map available
* Animations in ripperdocs stores
* Animations for eating and drinking
* Minigames

And the improvements and fixes that the game needs are:

* Improved AI for npcs and cars
* Greater difficulty and limitation in the use of healing
* Npcs with daily routines
* Physics of water
* Fix netrunner attacks
* The bands know your actions
* Police records
* Mini map when driving and head height when driving.

I think those will be the pay dlcs or expansions:

* Get to know Morgan Blackhand and its history.
* Learn much more about the black wall and the war that exists for power over the old network. The voodoo boys will have more prominence, in the game we hardly know them.
* Stories of the work with our colleague Jackie, before the attack on the Kompeki plaza.

* Know everything that is behind the mind control on peralez and who are those hidden forces.

Well there's a lot of talk about the leaked DLC names in Forbes and other legitimate place. So we have a pretty good idea of what the free DLC would be if they're accurate.

The developer stream also hinted we'll be starting to get the DLC this coming month.

This is a meaningless statement because it means different things to different people.

The Ending being fixed is utterly bizarre because it's certainly nothing they promised.

Also, I don't know what you mean by "cut content" since it's fairly clear that they couldn't finish what they planned, let alone "cut" anything out like Mankind Divided.

1. No it doesn't. And ending that makes sense in the established canon as well as V surviving. They advertised this game "your choices matter and influence the outcome" and also as an RPG. So either they fix that or i am done. Simple as that after 20 years of support i had enough of a company i supported for this long going and backstabbing me with a EA Games move.
Either my choices matter and therefore i can change the outcome of the story or they do not matter and the game is a linear storyline and the choices i make are pointless. There is no in between. Dragon Age Origins as example. Choices matter and can change the outcome of the story drastically.

So they either lied or did it on purpose. Both are a no go.

[...] i want what i paid for and after 20 years of support i am entitled to that and not being spit in the face by said company.

2. Read point on about what they promised and you will be amazed on what kind of promises you can still find even on youtube in the official commercial trailers about how your choices influence the game and the outcome of the story. So yes this is something they promised.

3. You should probably research a bit more before you tell me what is and isn't there. Cause i can shower you with cut content files and stuff you can find ingame.
- Body Modifications (No not just some items but literally body modifications that are visible while playing ingame. The files are there)
Even modders already did that. https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/1191
- Car Modification (Same stuff)
- Trains for traveling (Train Stations are in the game can be found and the train as well as the stations have an interior design in which the player glitches through if they manage to get inside. Which isn't hard on the stations as they have working doors but the trains spawn and despawn around the city)
- Clothing options and entire outfits instead of trying to find this one nice looking jacket around the entire city that doesn't look like a rag and has decent stats. And again the modders do a better job than the actual company.
- Make up and Hair, piercings and tattoos. Including facial hair options (And yes the files are there to change that stuff ingame which never occurs once you are done with creating your char)
- Apartments and houses and basically an entire real estate economy for you to choose from. (Funny side note. The option to customize some parts of your apartment are actually found in the game files.)
- Flying cars and taxis and yes thats a promised feature that isn't in the game unless you count a cutscene at the end which doesn't count at all.
- Police chasing and working against you or gangs.
- Actual RPG elements in which my dialouge options change the outcome of a quest or entire storyline branch instead of just being voiced over fillers that change absolutely nothing.
- A City full of sin but nothing sinful to do as most buildings who have an interior are actually closed by default despite the fact that even items are in them to collect which you can do nothing with other than sell them. Oh wait thats also not possible. Game was advertised for an adult audience yet you get absolutely 0 for it. Sex shops etc and strip shops with no nudity. (and don't give me the excuse of nudity being a problem for rating when i can literally slice people into little bits. CDPR is not a company in the USA so WTF is this?)
- Real Crafting was advertised but ingame the crafting is literally a joke. Cause other than crafting a weapon or some clothes you can't modify anything. Hell even Fallout 4 has better crafting.
- There is nothing to do aside from main missions and side missions. And only in one of those side missions you can actually go to a club and dance there. The game is shallow and empty. Even Kotor 2 had more stuff you could actually do aside from the main missions to entertain yourself as player and feel immersion. Speaking of immersion. The fact that a mod like this even exists and shows how much better modders can even do a first person view should make everyone stop defending the company.
Better Immersion for first person view https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/2675
Better first person view in vehicles. https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/2202

And the list goes on and on and on and on and on like a never ending story. And i won't pay a penny for any of that if it comes out as DLC. This should be in the final product. End of debate.

The funny part about this is that the modding community has restored more cut content from the files than the actual devs from this game in over a year. As far as it stands this company is dead to me and they could release 100 DLC's i wouldn't give them a penny for any of it.
Either they fix their broken mess first before they want money again for DLC stuff and i mean at least 80% of broken stuff, cut content and a fix for this ending or the company can go bankrupt for all i care.

The only ones i am sorry for are the devs of this game who had a vision and had to cut basically over half the game away or being forced to release it half done [...].

Edit: And yes the modding community does alot for games like skyrim and fallout but the difference is bethesda never claimed (except fallout 76) that their game is something that it isn't. You always got what you paid for and after hundreds of gameplay hours the mods made an entire new game out of it as bethesda also always releases their mod kit for the games afterwards.

And yes this was a long rant but i am sick and tired of getting the end of the shaft as customer when it already feels like that every company out there is not caring for one second what the gamers actually want. CDPR was the first company who actually listend from the start to their fanbase. And boom we got this game in a very sorry state. Excuse my rant but i am done with this kind of BS. Either make a game or don't but stop pretending this game is fine or good. Kotor 2 is over 20 years old and is far better in anything than cyperpunk (except graphics). In this day and age this is unnacceptable.

Definitely quality of life stuff should be first like a working metro, adding stat buffs to articles of clothing in addition to armor points so that looking the part actually means something (seriously, Johnny's lost threads should boost Cool), returning all functionality to cyberware (Mantis Blade wallwalking!), and allowing players to toggle modesty on and off in the game world as they see fit (no purple briefs while I am in the shower).

Adventure wise, I'd like to see a nod to Neuromancer and have a side gig set on a space station, preferably a murder mystery or another heist.

And gambling. It is kinda tough to make eddies on gigs alone.

Yea some of that wont happend. Metro was ripped out quite a long time ago. statbuffs on clothes should be possible and pretty easy too implement but would make most chars just have 20 all stats unless balanced properly(most buffs from stats seems broken in one way or another too) mantis wallwalking wont come back since they said it was a nightmare too do. modesty censoring was playstations fault is my guess(they dont accept sexy stuff in games at all anymore) i kinda agree with alot of the stuff you wanted back but sadly i dont se it happening.

I'm not looking for anything complicated. A small bonus % to checks would be nice and that could be balanced by limiting the bonus so that it did not exceed your hard skill cap limit. imposed by the stat If you wanted further improvement in a skill check, you'd have to spend points to raise the stat.

It would also be nice if the skill checks were tied to the skins of certain articles of clothing so that wearing a netrunning wasn't just cosmetic. You could actually improve your checks by wearing the right gear.

Do you buy the shades that have crap armor but provides a nice boost your Cool or do you get that nice military grade combat holovisor with decent armor that provides a small boost to your gun skill? That's your decision.

Kinda think thats the point. Most skillchecks are just flavor text so dont affect much. Also kinda locks you into what you specced into. think i got like 2-3 different skillchecks when talking too Evelyn in the private room at lizzies bar, all were just more info. Just like background is in most conversations.

For skillchecks for doors and so on i think the point would be too make you choose your spec ahead of time pretty much. or go heavely into all of them if you wanted too open all doors. generaly theres allways a way to get into where you need too go anyways ^^ i would prefer stat buffs like increase money/exp/rep i think since i started over so menny times its really boring now :D

That's the whole point. If you are going to specialize and lock yourself into your specs, you might as well be really really good at what you do.
Think i missunderstood what you ment, skill checks for doors and on i think are a deliberate attept to make not all game accessible to all speccs. Increase in gun skill and so on could probably be pretty cool. how would that work tho, flat % dmg increase? Gorilla arms used to be able to open all Body check doors for example. They removed it since it was kinda OP i guess but theres mods that returns this functionality too them.

The wallwalking is something that was removed for a reason, though. It turned out it couldn't be implemented with the massive number of decorations and machines on the sides of the buildings they wanted to put up.

So they removed it for more atmosphere.

All I got to say is that CDPR better have one hell of a update after all this time being silent. Like we're talking cops are fixed new cars, some serious improvements.

Posts deleted for and edited being off-topic and trying to turn this into a lack-of-nudity complaint thread. The former is against the rules, and the latter is off-limits as per this.

Some rudeness removed. Also against the rules.

1.2 came out March 30th. I'm not counting hotfixes. The last major update was almost 4 months ago. Not sure where you're getting a month ago.
They've had 4 months to make improvements. They have 40% of the team working on updates. That's 40% of around 500 employees. No Mans Sky had 15 dudes working on the first update. It was out 6 months after release. It's been close to 8 months since the game released.

If you're not counting what they're working on and doing with the game, I suppose it would seem like a long time.

They're fixing the game, which is their (appropriate) priority.

Yeah, I'd like to wear tank tops while I have Monowire installed for once. The skin from the model's shoulders clipping through clothing kinda sucks and I hate the workaround being either "install something else" or "don't install monowire." Let's get to some quality of life fixes, dudes.

Does "the patch will be released sometime in X quarter" always have to mean the last day of X quarter?

You took the words out of my mouth!

(spoiler alert)

I think the CD could give us a “prologue” for whoever makes the 5 submissions of the game. Something Like a "V's new life" - with Panam (male) OR Judy (female) or... ANY String. I would particularly like to see V's journey with the Aldecaldos and trying every way to solve his problem with Relic
