Do any of the witcher community wants to play gw2?

I, like many others, will never have an interest in an MMO that requires a monthly fee. I get all my games at a discount on Steam, and have dozens still sitting unplayed - and nothing can replace a true singleplayer story.

Lol, i have many games on steam still to play as well, but i consider GW2 to be one of those. Because it is a buy once, and never pay again. Sure they will have an ingame store for vanity items and such, but you will never have a monthly fee.

As for your last comment. Nothing may be able to replace singleplayer stories, but i do feel that in-game community (MMO) can fill the lack of brilliant story. SWTOR tried to mix the two and failed, but from what i have played in GW2 it should be pretty awesome!

Anyway, I'm excited for Guild Wars 2. I like to try every MMO that launches. I'm still waiting for the next great sandbox myself. Star Wars Galaxies was my favorite.

Gosh, couldnt have said it better myself. Anything that resembles SWG (pre-"upgrades") i look into, and usually buy. Miss the days of SWG.

I guess I just miss the days of Ultima Online and DAoC.

I loved DAOC aswell, and i think that GW2 is going to be the next best thing, since Mythic (creators of DAOC) really missed the mark with Warhammer. GW2 is going to offer the 3 way PvP, with their WvWvW aspect. I really look forward to this being done right, much like DAOC. Not to mention they will be pairing your server up with similar servers so there is no inbalance.

Bottom line. WILL play Guild Wars 2, and probably dump many hours. Looks like i have another 14 days before the early release! Need to get my Witcher 2 time in!

I checked beta of GW2 and those "choices" and "multiple paths" are lies. Choices only change few lines in dialog.

Have you and your husband considered Torchlight 2?
I know, it's a ARPG, but I think you could have a good time - considering you're looking for co-op RPGs? ^^
Don't know how much you know about it - but it's just under $20 on Steam preorder, I think you still get Torchlight 1 for free when preordering, and no subscription fees whatsoever..
You can even make your own mods and upload them for others to play - right up your alley I think?

Thanks for the tip! I have the first Torchlight, but I didn't know that Torchlight 2 was going to include a co-op mode.

I will be playing Guild Wars 2. I've played in all of the beta weekends and I'm really looking forward to release. It's a very unique and enjoyable game in my opinion.

I don't like MMO's, so I don't play them. What I do like is playing RPG's in co-op mode with my husband or some friends, but there just aren't very many RPG's with a co-op mode. When my husband and I play Guild Wars together, it becomes a co-op game.

It doesn't take anything away from YOU for me to play the game the way I want to play it. I'm a modder, after all -- I think every player should be able to play their games the way THEY want to, as long as it doesn't infringe on anyone else.

Isometric view, turn-based combat, quests and dialogue written for two players, non-generic player characters, and on and on ... everything I'm looking for!

I will be playing GW2 too. It seems like a good game, judging from the betas. It has done many things right imo. It might not be "the genre-breaking game" like many seem to think, but I think it's pretty well made nonetheless. That's enough for me to spend some time with it.
