Do retail copy contain manual?

It doesn't show it on the official site. It has everything else but the manual and I don't think the compendum is the manual.

there is a manual floating around somewhere as i saw a link to it on the forums yesterday and downloaded it. Sorry but i can't find it now.

Well... I am getting a digital copy so I am not sure, however in every game there should always be a Manual.

If when you bought your copy you notice that the manual is missing you should go back to the retailer and tell them that, Your copy of the game is missing the manual.
