I know of it, but don't use it as there is not anything I need to stash. Well, unless I go on a murder spree and run out of carry room.
They will never sync, they are different things. The stuff in your car is only in your car and the same with the apartment stash.
I just fast travel home and use the storage there.

No, but I do check the trunks of parked cars with the false hope of finding a body, piece of equipment or clue that would lead to a bigger story.
Weird the tooltip in the game says they sync up. Either way once the car with items in it dissappears, so do the items.
I used it once and lost the weapon I was keeping in it. Never using it again because I don't trust it. It is a great concept though and I like they thought about including it. However if they are going to include it they need to make sure it works because losing guns in it is a bad time.

If you own the car then the car stash is permanent and shared between all cars. It will temporarily become unavaiable once your first car gets banged up (until you get a second car) but you don't actually lose the stuff in the stash.

And yes, I do use the car stash rather aggressively. It is so much faster than going to the apartment, all you have to do is summon a car wherever you may be, dump your stuff, then summon whatever you want to drive and move off.
I have 8 vehicles including 6 cars with which it works well. On motorbike there is no stash.
The stash is different from apartment/flat's. Until now, i didn't lose any items. I put mainly original iconics weapons in the flat. In the trunk stash, I have my crafted items. I find it more faster and handy than fast traveling to the flat. When roaming on district, it doesn't break the rhythm of chaining next mission.

Actually there is a motorbike with stash too. Haven't checked if it is in sync with cars though.
I don’t know what to put there, because everything that’s found either disassembled ir sold. There’s very little worth saving for later.
I can also understand why there are no buyable apartments, since aside from the very beginning, there’s no reason to visit one in the game.

yeah, now i have 3 apartments and there is no stash on these apartments, so we always have to refer to the 1st we got. Plus, we cannot customize it. For the moment, the apartments are not very interesting.

Ah yes the one with Panam mission. I have just tried it and the stash is empty on mine but on the cars it's with my gear. Nothing lost but doesn't appear on the Appolo motorbike.

I have noticed that when you get a new car, the trunk stash doesn't work on it until you've used another car and then respawn that new car.
That might be what the issue is for those who are having problems.
